Life's Passing

Juliet's POV
I stood frozen as a calmness filled the air. They had been fighting one second and the next it was over. Andy had been flung against the bottom of a bolder and Jinxx feel to the ground laying just as still.

I could smell Andy's blood in the air and that terrified me. I slowly began to walk forwards and then broke into a run. I knelt before Andy trying to get a grip o what I was seeing. Andy lay silent head bleeding out onto the rocks below him. His neck was in an unnatural position to be working properly. I reached my arms out towards him and pulled him into my lap. My hands shaking I tried the mess of bloody hair from his face. "Andy, please. Wake up." I whispered. There was no response. I felt something stirring behind me and turned quickly to see Jinxx behind my trying to sit up. I moved further away from Jinxx dragging Andy's body along with me. Fear an hatred ran threw me. How the fuck could he do this? I glared at him threw the tears that were now falling much out of my control.

"Juliet! " He tried to speak but was clearly to weak. "It was Matthew! " He said urgently. "I couldn't... stop it. Please," he begged. I tried to read his expression to see if he were being truthful. I tried to sit up but only rose himself up onto his elbows before falling back into the dirt. He rolled over onto his back and I could start to hear the feeble screams coming from him as he realized what has happened. Jinxx cried out and squirmed under the pain he was in. "I tried, I tried to stop him. I couldn't he was too strong. He fucking killed him! He killed him! He knew he'd do anything for us and he killed him!" Jinxx shouted over and over again. My cries began to match his as I clung to Andy's body.

I looked down at his pale face and kissed his forehead, his eyes, and his lips. He looked like he merely slept. I hugged himself to me and hoped that this was all a bad dream. I cried out and feeling each pain of realization cut through me. Knowing he wasn't going to be coming back. I rocked us back and forth trying to find some sort of soothing comfort. Nothing helped. He was gone. Gone.

I looked back up to Jinxx and saw he was approaching us. He knelt down before us with tears stealing down his face. He looked down at Andy and another set of tremors and sobs broke through him. He wrapped his arms around us. "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry." He repeated. I shook my head. This wasn't his fault. Jinxx kept repeating himself over and over.

We stayed like this for a long time. I tried to guess at a time but couldn't. I had let go of Andy all, except for a hand. Jinxx sat on the other side of him. We stared down at his body. I could begin to see the light of morning shining down on his face. It looked strange to see something like tho situation so dark and sinister to have light shining down threw it. But it did. The morning light seemed to bring an ire to everything. I looked to Andy to see his skin getting darker. It seemed to char under the light on the sun. "No, no, no! " I spoke allowed and put my hand on the side of Andy's face only to have it fall into ashes. I stared for a moment and then looked as the rest of his body followed suit. Slowly disappearing in front of my. I stretched my hands out trying to hold on one last bit of Andy that I could. I felt a pair hands grabbing me then and looked to see Jinxx pulling me back from him. "Please! No! Come back to me!" I screamed out in pain. Jinxx pulled me back further and I noticed he was trying to pull me away from here.

I had no strength. Even little human Jinxx could drag me away. I cried out as we left the mountain side. We made it out of the forest at and agonizing pace. Everywhere I looked I seemed to see his face. A few times I got away from Jinxx and tried to run back to Andy but never got very far.

Once in the neighborhood it was a matter or trying to act normal. We didn't need any attention brought to us. Especially now. I looked up to see the house in view. Everyone was inside waiting on us to return. They had no idea what had happened. Jinxx still had his arms wrapped around me and gave me a slight squeeze before we entered the house.
