Life's Passing

I woke up to water hitting my face. I opened my eyes to see the sky still above me. It was raining and the sky was as dark as ever. I tried to pull my self up but my head was spinning. "Lay back down." I heard Ashley saying. I trusted his judgement and laid back down. "What happened?" I asked a little confused on what had gone down. I remember Jake's eyes being black and I remember falling from the cliff. My body was sore and I felt a little like I did in the hospital. I looked over to see Ashley's face. He looked pissed. "Hey are you okay?' I asked him hoping that I hadn't done anything. "Ask my arm?" he said looking off into the distance. "Did Jake wake up ?" Ashley called out.

Ashley's POV

My arm hurt so bad. I looked down to see the bone misshapen under my skin. Fuck. I looked up to see two blurs. Jake held Andy in the air yelling at him. What the hell was going on? I looked over to see Juliet looking up in amazement just like I was. She took her hoodie of and wrapped it around my arm before wrapping it around my neck like a sling. Jake tossed Andy to the ground with a smack that sounded like a bowling ball. Jake floated back down to the ground and question himself. Shortly after that Jake fell to the ground unresponsive.

CC ran over to Jake and I followed after towards Andy. Why was he talking about killing himself? What happened to him while he was up there? "Juliet, run back home and get the van." I yelled over to her. She nodded and was soon off with her new found vampire speed. CC held Jake's head up and off the rocks that he had landed on. "He's bleeding pretty bad!" CC yelled over to me. I looked down to see Andy in the same state. His head was gushing blood and his back lay on a rock that was now cracked from Jake's force.

Juliet had come back in no time and we took Jake to the van first. Juliet stayed with Andy while CC and I carried Jake to the van. We got him on the row of seats in the back and closed the door going back to get Andy. "Do we take them to the hospital?" CC asked. I wasn't sure. Andy had woke up a minute ago and seemed alright. "We'll wait and see how Jake is when we get back with Andy." CC agreed and we started back to the woods.

Andy was sitting up beside Juliet and talking to her. "You don't remember anything?" I heard her asking Andy. This was really starting to piss me off. He was hurting us now and of course he didn't remember. He need to learn how to work with what he had and he need to do it fast. My phone buzzed and I looked down to see a text message from Jake. "Where are you guys? And why am I covered in blood." I shook my head. So I guess we weren't going to the hospital. Juliet helped Andy get up and we walked to the van together.

As we drove home it was clear that neither of them remembered what had happened to each other after Andy fell from the rock. Andy did saw something about Jake being a witch and that he had felt some immense power while up on the rock but other that that he didn't remember anything.
I looked in the rear view mirror at Jake and could tell that as he told his story he was leaving bits out. Most likely for Andy's sake. I needed to talk to Jake when we got home. I pulled into the drive way and we helped the guys get out of the van and walk inside. Once they were sitting down I went into the kitchen and grabbed a bottle of aspirin. I took half of the bottle and grabbed a bottle of Jack. I heard the door opened and turned around to see Jake. "You okay?" He asked me.

I sat down hard at the kitchen table. "So what do you really remember?" I asked him. Jake moved to sit down beside me taking a swig on the Jack as well. "Everything." I looked over at him and saw the true emotion in his face. He was angry to. Probably not as much as me but he was angry. "I feel terrible for hurting him because he apparently doesn't even know what happened but at the same time, he needed it. Why was he talking about killing himself?" Jake asked. I though to myself about what could have possibly happened up there on that rock.
Jake sat looking at his hands. He stared down at them and then looked at my arm. His eyes went black and he held out his hand, putting it on my arm. Oh god! This wasn't any creepy Jakley fan fiction stuff, was it? A slight yellow glow came from his hand and I felt a tingling on my arm. With that he took his hand off and I could tell that the bone had gone back to where it should have been. I looked down at my arm amazed as Jake's eyes slowly faded back to their normal color. I shook my head in disbelief and Jake simply laughed. "Well, I am defiantly going to have to get used to this." He said and i joined in with his laughter.

CC's POV

Andy, Juliet, Jinxx and I sat in the living room as we tried to figure out what was going on with Andy. "So what happened when you were on top of the rock?" I asked him trying to under stand. Andy took a deep breath in and started talking. "Well, I can't describe it. All of this power came to me and I didn't want to give it up. It was like I was a god and i could will everything that I wanted to happen at a moment's notice. Then Matthew was asking me if i wanted to have that power forever. I tried to respond back to him but at that point it was like the only thing I could do was to scream. It felt amazing like I was in touch with everything around me. I knew exactly what the world was doing and what it was going to do." He sat there looking up at the sky as he spoke.

I had remembered a movie Jinxx and I once watched where this coven of witches turned eighteen and then 'ascended' into their full powers. I wondered if something like that was happening to Andy. Jinxx looked over to Andy. "What did you tell Matthew?" He asked a little concerned. Andy sighed. "Well, I did want it but when I had passed out he spoke as if the power was strong enough to put all of you in danger." He spoke the words frightened. "Honestly I don't know if I should just go on my own from here or keep risking it." He didn't want us to leave that was clear, but he also didn't want us to get hurt.

When I thought back on Andy's life I could see why. He had a very strong family that were all close together. Even when he came out to LA it was only a matter of time before he had found Ashley and Jinxx. I don't think that he had ever really been alone. Andy sat there staring at the floor looking sad.

I heard Jake and Ashley laughing in the other room and wondered what they could be laughing about. I thought back to Jake again as Jinxx moved to turn on the T.V. to distract us all for a moment. When had this happened to Jake? What was he going through? Jakes' eyes were completly black when we were in the woods. Jinxx had been texting me on the way home. Something about either being a witch or a demon. It bothered me the way everyone was becoming some sort of creature. Was I next?
