Our faith will silence the doubt

Andy looked at the crowd and grinned. “I hope you guys are having a pretty fucking awesome night, I know I am!” The crowd cheered. He looked out into the crowd, trying to find those icy blue eyes. There were a few, but none like the ones he was used to seeing. He let out a soft sigh and felt someone touch his shoulder. He smiled at Jinxx and nodded. He let out a soft breath as he smiled. “Alright guys. This is a new song, and this song is very special to me. I hope you guys like it.” The crowd cheered at Ashley started to play, it was a slow song at first then the drumming and guitars joined, it was a bit like the song Resurrect the sun. Once he finished the lyrics he turned his back to the audience holding his hands up. He grabbed the mic with both hands, “I hope you had a fucking great time! I love you motherfuckers!” The crowd cheered. He wanted to be happy, but he knew that was impossible. He looked at James who was looking out from the curtain. He wiped the tear away from his eye and smiled at him. Of course he didn’t fool anyone.
James walked out into the hallway making his way to the tour bus. Andy, Ashley, and CC were being interviewed by Bryan Stars. He took a cig out from his back pocket as he walked out the door into the cool fall night. He lit his cig up and looked around. There were still a few fans roaming around screaming and talking about how they could die in peace now that they had met Black Veil Brides. He remembered when he was like them. He woke up every morning thinking it was all a dream. No, it wasn’t a dream; it was pretty much a living nightmare with some happy moments. Zoey was gone. He still called her Zoey, not Kathie; Zoey was the girl he had grown up with, the girl he had loved until he had met Cassandra. He smiled as he imagined Casey sleeping in their hotel room. She had been too tired to come to the concert. He looked up at the cloudy sky, “Where the hell are you Zo?”
James threw his cig on the ground, stomping it with his foot. A splash of golden caught his attention as he entered the hallway. He saw a girl that looked to be in her early twenties walking down the hall in what he guessed was a sneaky way. He couldn’t help but chuckle; this girl had clearly watched too many movies. The girl froze as she heard James’ chuckle and she looked at him, , she had sun glasses on. He slowly made his way towards her. “What are you doing here?” “Umm…I’m the makeup artist of course!” James smirked, “Where’s your badge?” “I um, left in the dressing room of course. I was looking for a bathroom, I guess I got lost.” James nodded he was only a few feet from her. “Look, I don’t want to call security. Let me guess you want to meet the band, right? I can’t let you do that, not without a VIP pass, it wouldn’t be fair to the other fans. And the guys are busy at the moment anyways, so you can’t see them.”
The girl stared at him, “Look kid. You’re cute. Just let me see Andy. I won’t tell if you won’t. As a matter of fact, I didn’t even see you.” She turned her back to him and continued walking, leaving the sneakiness behind. James grabbed her shoulder and she slapped his hand away. “ Don’t. Touch. Me.” “I told you, you can’t see them! Don’t make me call security.” She took her glasses off and stared at him. “I need to speak to Dennis, it’s an emergency.” James looked into those icy blue eyes and froze. Could it be….No, why, how. “Zoey?” The girl looked at him confused. “What?” “You’re Zoey.” The girl shook her head, “Umm no, I think you’ve mistaken me with someone.” She turned to leave once again but James grabbed her hand. “Zoey, wait. No, Kathie. Please.” The girl froze, she slowly turned around and looked at him. “How do you…” James smiled, “Kathie it’s really you.”
