Remembering Yesterday

Ashley looked at Andy as he laid Zoey on a bed. He scratched the back of his head frowning, “What are you going to do about Juliet?” Andy pulled the covers over Zoey and shook his head. “I don’t know. I love her; I really do, but Kathie….” He sat beside her stroking her cheek. “She was my first love.” Ashley nodded looking at Zoey’s peaceful face. “Do you still love her?” Andy smiled, “I honestly don’t know. I feel something towards her but I’m still not sure what that something is. But I know I don’t want to be with Juliet. This is a very dangerous situation for her. I’d hate for anything to happen to her.” Ashley nodded, “I know what you mean. Jinxx is thinking of bringing Sammi with him, but he wants to wait a while longer, see what I situation is really like.” Andy nodded and smiled, “I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what life has in store for us.”


Zoey laughed as she looked at her Hello Kitty cake. “I love you guys so fucking much!” She looked at her six best friends, James, Ashley, Jake, CC, Jinxx, and Andy. They were her family now. California was great. Her mom hadn’t looked for her in these past three months. And if she was looking for her, she still hadn’t found her. Zoey closed her eyes as she blew out her candles. I wish to be free of Mr. and Mrs. Parker’s clutches. She opened her eyes and grinned. “What did ya wish for?” She stared at Jinxx, “I can’t tell you or it won’t come true!” Ashley shrugged, “I know what I’d wish for.” They all looked at him. He grinned, “Lots of fun on our vacation!” Everyone cheered and Zoey cut her cake. They laughed and drank milk as they ate their cake. Life was perfect. Zoey wouldn’t change anything about this moment. She wished her life would always be like this. She ran to the kitchen and opened the oven. “Lasagna’s done!” She took the lasagna out and set in on the counter. She took the tin foil off and smiled. It smelled delicious! The guys all ran into the kitchen fighting along the way. “I call first plate!” “No way I’m her best friend!” “She loves me more!” Zoey looked at them frowning. “Youngest to oldest.” Jinxx grinned as he stood in front of her plate in his hands. She stared at him, “You aren’t the youngest!” “I look like the youngest.” James playfully pushed him and grinned at Zoey. She laughed and cut a piece setting it on James’ plate. Andy smiled, “My turn.” Zoey set the piece of lasagna on his plate. “There you go Denny.” Andy smirked at her. “Thank you Kathie.” Zoey’s eyes widened as she felt Andy’s soft lips on her. Andy chuckled as he ran to sit next to James. The guys whistled and cheered. Zoey blushed and looked down at the lasagna. She put a piece on Jake’s plate. Jake laughed, “Do I get a kiss from the chef as well?” “Don’t even think about it!” Jake laughed at Andy and kissed Zoey’s cheek. “Just on the cheek, “I don’t want my babe getting jealous.”


Lunch was wonderful. Zoey hadn’t laughed so much in years. “Are we going to visit Joe or is he coming over?” Andy shrugged, “Still don’t know. But I have the scripts for the next season of Average Joe.” “James should be in it.” “And Zoey too!” CC shook his head, “I don’t think that’s such a good idea. What if Zoey’s mom sees her?” Jinxx shrugged, “That’s what makeup is for, right?” Ashley shrugged. James looked at Zoey. “You’re good with makeup, you could make us look different couldn’t you?” Zoey nodded, “Yeah. I’ve always wanted to meet Joe.” Jake grinned, “Do you think he’s sexy?” Zoey nodded, “Totally. I would so tap that.” Everyone but Andy laughed. CC playfully hit his shoulder. “Aww Andy is jealous.” The rest of the guys started to tease him. Zoey stood up and took her plate to the sink. It was Ashley’s turn to wash the dishes. She leaned against the counter top crossing her arms across her chest and smiled as she watched the guys start to fight.
