Bullets in a Music Box

The Beach Date

Moonlight shined down over the ocean water and made the city look majestic. My hand was intertwined with Andy’s as we walked down the beach, my heels in my hand. We were supposed to go to dinner but Andy decided he didn’t want to sit down and eat fancy food, after making reservations. I didn’t care because fancy food seemed like a lot of work, so we went to the market and grabbed some pre-made sandwiches, a bag of chex-mix, and two monsters, as well as a nice bottle of vodka. It was nearing ten at night so the beach was empty, except for us two of course. I found a spot I liked and laid down on the sand, letting the wind flow over me. Andy sat down next to me and set the bag on the ground next to us.

“Why is the beach so much prettier at night?” I asked as I turned my head to face him.

“Because no one is here, and it’s dark,” he said.

“True. So are we just gonna lay in the sand and eat these amazing sandwiches?” I asked. He nodded and smirked.

“What?” I asked. Then he leaned over me and gave me a kiss. I wrapped my arms around his neck and smirked up at him once he pulled away.

“That,” he smiled and I stared into his eyes. For some reason they seemed more blue, like really blue. I’ve never really stared at his eyes when he’s looking at me. Maybe they get bluer when he’s looking at me. If they did, that would be damn awesome.

“What are you thinking about?” He asked as he continued to hover over me.

“About how blue your eyes are when you look at me,” I bit my lip and he smiled.

“It’s possible that they are bluer when I look at you,” he shrugged and leaned down to give me another kiss. I smiled into it and when he pulled away, he sat back down on the sand and began to take the food out of the bag. My arms had dropped down on the sand when Andy sat back down and I just let them lay there.

“The sand is really soft,” I commented and Andy looked at me.

“And you’re getting sand all over your shirt, which looks amazing on you, by the way,” he smiled and I gave him a look.

“You do realize how that sounded, right?” I asked.

“Shut up,” he said and took a bit of his sandwich.

“Such a dork,” I smiled and sat up to grab my sandwich.

“So this home studio, is it gonna be a home recording studio or just a home studio where we can write songs and do some music?” He asked and I sighed.

“Not a recording studio, cause we have the studio for that, but writing songs and stuff, yes,” I said.

“Okay, now I know what shit to get,” he nodded and I rolled my eyes.

“You know, I’ve never actually done this kinda stuff before?” Andy asked me after a few minutes.

“Really? You’ve never done dates or anything? Even with Juliet?” I asked.

“Nope, we were both always so focused on our music than to do this kinda thing,” he shrugged and I nodded.

“Colton and I didn’t really do this either. I had a different schedule than him most of the time so it prevented us from doing that,” I said and Andy looked at me. He set his sandwich down on the bag and then he stood up.

“What are you doing?” I asked.

“Let’s dance,” he said.

“Dance? In the sand and water? Really?” I asked.

“Yes, now get up lazy ass,” he chuckled and I pouted at him before setting my sandwich down and stand up, wiping sand off my ass in the process. When I was standing, Andy pulled his phone out and started playing some music, then he put his phone back in his pocket and looked down at me.

“You’re really short,” he laughed and I pouted again.

“I know I am, thank you for pointing it out Mr. 6’4”,” I sighed and he laughed more before wrapping his arms around my waist and kissing my forehead. I wrapped my arms around his neck loosely and we swayed back and forth for a while. Luckily we found a spot that was under the boardwalk so no one could really see us. I rested my head on his chest and we continued to sway back and forth. It was really relaxing actually. The wind was blowing and the scent of the water travelled into my nose, which made me really happy. I felt Andy reposition his hands on my back and then he rested his chin on top of my head.

With us both being the lead singer to bands, we don’t really have the kind of time that normal couples have for each other, so when we do get time, we use it wisely. I closed my eyes and listened to the music and the water, as well as Andy’s breathing, which eventually turned into him humming along to the music. We were both silent for quite some time before one of the songs ended and I decided I wanted to eat. When I pulled away from Andy, he silently pouted and I smiled as I leaned up and gave him a kiss. Then I sat back down and grabbed my sandwich.

“That was really relaxing, I can’t believe you’d rather eat than dance,” he said as he sat down.

“Okay whiney pants,” I chuckled as I chewed.

“I’m allowed to whine, it’s my job,” he said and I rolled my eyes. After that we were quiet for a while. I finished my sandwich and laid back down on the sand and closed my eyes. I’m glad we didn’t go to that fancy restaurant, cause I’m not really feeling the whole be around people thing. As I laid in the sand, I heard Andy shift around and then get quiet. I turned my head and opened my eyes to look at him. He was laying in the sand next to me, except he was staring up at the sky with his arms behind his head. I kept staring at him and watched in amazement, he looked so mesmerized by the sky. Then I rolled over and put my head on his chest, which didn’t even make him flinch. After a few seconds he moved one of his arms to around my waist.

“I find it kind of funny that we are cuddling in the sand,” I chuckled and he laughed.

“It is a little funny,” he chuckled and I closed my eyes, listening to his breathing. Then from behind me I heard my phone start ringing, loudly. A groan left my mouth and I rolled over and grabbed it off the ground. Zara was calling. I sighed before answering.

“Hello,” I said and heard her laughing.

“Hey Sadee, what are you doing?” She asked.

“Currently I am laying on the sand at the beach with Andy, why?” I asked and she got quiet for a second.

“Well, I was wondering if you wanted to come and chill with me and Christian at my apartment,” she said.

“Does chilling include alcohol?” I asked.

“Of course it does. So, would you be up to it?” She asked.

“Let me ask Andy first,” I said and then turned to him.

“Ask me what?” He asked.

“Do you wanna go chill at Zara’s apartment with her and Coma?” I asked.

“Why not?” He shrugged and I nodded.

“Sure, why not. We’ll be there in like an hour,” I said.

“Why an hour? It’s already ten pm,” she said.

“Cause I am being lazy on the sand, that’s why, and it’s only nine Zara,” I explained and she made a noise.

“Whatever, fine, I’ll see you by ten,” she said and then hung up. I groaned and dropped my phone on the sand.

“We have approximately 45 minutes to be lazy till we have to go,” I looked at him and he shrugged.

“Or we could just go over there now,” he said.

“But I don’t want to yet,” I whined and he laughed.

“And there’s little kid Sadee again,” he chuckled and I smacked his chest.

“I’m allowed to whine sometimes,” I said.

“I know, but you whine a lot,” he said and I gave him a look.

“No I don’t,” I said.

“Okay, whatever you say,” he smirked and I scrunched up my face before climbing on top of him and getting in his face.

“I don’t whine all the time,” I said.

“I didn’t say it was all the time, I just said you whine a lot,” he corrected me and I squinted my eyes before kissing him. He chuckled when we pulled apart and then gave me a kiss. When I pulled away, I shifted down so my head rested in the nook of his neck. He wrapped both of his arms around me and kissed the top of my head. This is where I want to be, with Andy. My life has always been shitty, but right now it was perfect. And nothing can ruin it, not even Tyler and his constant nagging about the EP.

Notes

There was a reason behind the wait this time, and it was not that I was stuck on writing. It's cause no one has commented which means I don't know how you guys like the chapters recently, so I'm not sure if I should continue with them like this, Andy and Sadee going on cute dates and being adorable, or go back to the music. Comments don't just make me feel awesome, but they help me know what you guys like with the story. I know it's not the worlds most exciting story right now, but I'm having fun with the cutesy relationship stuff. So if you guys could comment, that would be awesome!

Originally Sadee and Andy were going to go to the fancy restaurant, but I decided to scrap that idea and go with this one. :3

QUESTION TIME: Do you guys like the cute dates with Sadee and Andy? If not, what would you like to see? More with the music? Drama? Should I end the story? What? And if yes, what else should they do?
