~Stars Can't Shine Without Darkness~

Star's POV~

I woke up with a sharp pain in my head. Nearly forgetting about my concussion, I slipped out of bed and walked into the bathroom to grab two pills from the prescription bottle my doctor gave me. I skipped the shower for today and ran a brush through my newly dyed hair. After a fresh line of eyeliner was applied and I was dressed in my ripped white, shorts and a muscle tank that said 'I lost my heart in the music' with my black ankle boots. One more look in the mirror, and I grabbed my bag and walked down the stairs.

"Where are you going?" Ronnie asked me, leaning against the kitchen counter, sipping coffee out of a mug that repeatedly had the words 'fuck you' on it. I thought about telling him I was going to be with Violet, but what would lying do? He already knows about Andy and I and its not his decision. "I'm going to Andy's, I'll text you if I'm coming home tonight, okay?" Before he could respond. I rushed out of the kitchen and out the door, and inserting my earplugs to drown out the sounds of nature with a guitar riff as I walked down the side walk to Andy's.

It was now November, which meant Thanksgiving would be here soon. I usually didn't do anything for Thanksgiving, but I started to wonder if Andy would want to do anything with me. I was just passing the city pool near Valley Plaza Mall when I heard a faint shout of my name behind Tony Perry's guitar solo playing in my ears. My stomach clenched in an uncomfortable way but then. After hesitantly debating on turning around, I stuffed my iPod into my bag and spun my heel, facing the crowd of teenagers. "Star?" I saw Sunni walk up to me in a teal bikini with black lining. I slowly walked up to her, noticing Anthony staring at me the entire time.

"Hey" I said, clutching onto the handle of my bag. "Hey, how are you?" She asked, drying her hair off with a ratty towel I had just noticed she brought with her. "Oh, I'm okay. You?" The tension and awkwardness was suffocating. "I'm great actually. I like your hair." I smiled at her gently, nodding my thanks. "So, are we okay now? I mean, I know we've talked about this before. But I wasn't sure." She looked like she was thinking over what I had said before shrugging. "Yeah, I don't see why not. I miss you guys. How's Violet? She rarely talks to me anymore." "She's good. She's currently living at Andy's with Ashley and the others." Sunni shook her head and looked over her shoulder. "Cool, well I'm gonna go back. I don't suppose you wouldn't want to join us for awhile?" I looked at her as if she had grown two heads. "Are you crazy? I don't wanna be anywhere near Anthony. Sorry Sunni."

Sunnis eyes rotated to behind me but before she could say anything, I was swept off of my feet by muscular arms and carried over to the others. "Put me down!" I screamed, hitting the guy's back who was holding me. I plopped me down beside Anthony as I tried to stand back up, Anthony's hand pushed my shoulder down. "Thanks Shawn." The tan, brunette boy nodded in response and went back to the group of girls surrounding him. I looked at Anthony who was already staring at me.

"And you had him bring me here, why?" I asked, annoyance shown in my lace of words. "I want to make a deal with you Star." His fingers starting twirling my blonde hair between them as his eyes were locked on his motions.

"A deal? Last time you said that I ended up running away from you and your hungry pack of wolves." I scoffed, pulling my hair from his reach. "Hear me out, okay?" I narrowed my eyes. This was not the Anthony I have known for the past few years. "Okay?" I replied, in more of a questioned voice than an answer. "Okay. You go out with me, for one day. Doesn't have to be a date. Just one day, you and me. And if you still absolutely loathe me, I'll try to stay out of your life." I widened my eyes in shock. "You won't try anything? No shoving me into your car or trying to get into my pants?" I asked, not trusting him. "Not a thing. Unless, that is, you want to." I rolled my eyes. "Alright alright, but seriously. One day? You can even have your boytoy in the parking lot waiting." I thought about it for awhile.

If say yes, then I can go, tell him I still hate him, and he'll be out of my life. If I don't go, then he'll still continue to be a pain in my ass. "Alright Anthony. Deal." He placed his hand out, and I slowly moved mine out as well, shaking his hands in a handshake. "I have to go." I stood up and was ready to leave until his voice spoke up. "Tomorrow after school Star, be ready." I nodded hesitantly before saying goodbye to Sunni who was crowded by boys and continued my walk to Andy's house.

"Hey Star!" CC shouted as I walked into the living room. "Hey CC" I smiled at him before giving all the guys a hug and placing a kiss on Andy's lips. "Yes! My favorite couple, finally back together!" Violet cheered, as Ashley put hand over his heart, faking a wounded look. "I thought we were your favorite couple?" Violet's lips curled into a grin and she kissed him gently on the cheek. "Fine, my second favorite." Ashley smiled and kissed her on the lips. "You look beautiful Star, what made you dye it again?" Andrew asked me, running a hand through my hair. "Natural hair was showing and the black got old. You like it?" He nodded his head and pulled me into the kitchen. "Star, can I ask you something?" He held my hands and looked at me with his blue gems. "Of course Andy, what is it?" "Do you love me?" I looked confused for a moment. "Of course I do, you know that." He kissed my forehead. "Enough to move back in with me?"

My smile faded. "Andy, don't you think it's to soon? We just got back together." I said carefully. "Do you remember two nights ago whenever we first got back together? How would you moving in be to soon?" He had a point, I kissed his knuckles. "Are you sure?" He picked me up with ease and wrapped my legs around his waist. He kissed my lips and set me on the counter.

"I'm positive, beautiful" I smiled while twirling his hair between my fingers. "I love you, Andy." He smiled at me. "I love you too" I was arguing in my head whether I should tell him right now about Anthony and I's deal or not, but he interrupted. "What's on your mind?" He asked, rubbing circles on the sides of my thighs. "Promise me, promise me you won't be mad." He furrowed his eye brows together. "Okay? What happened?" I tried to keep my voice calm and even. "I'm going out with Anthony tomorrow, he wants to be friends, I think, and he promised not to try anything." Andy's eyes grew a bit darker and it honestly, kinda startled me. "Your what? Hell no. I don't want you around that asshole he's been nothing but trouble and-" "Andy, I wasn't asking for permission. I promise you, I'll be okay. And your promised not to be mad." He huffed air through his nostrils.

"You can't tell me not to be mad at something that you knew would piss me off." I leaned back a little by his tone. "Andy I-" "just...please...promise me. If your going to go. Promise me, that if anything happens, you'll call me as soon as it does. Okay?" He pleaded in a lower, cautious tone. I lifted his chin up and kissed his lips passionately. "I promise."

"Ew! No fucking on the counter you two we eat there!" Jinxx screamed as he grabbed a beer from the fridge. "I don't know if you noticed or anything, but my pants are still on Jeremy." He growled at the use of his real name. "Yeah yeah. Remember that." He rushed out of the kitchen as I burst out into a fit of giggles. "Want to go upstairs and the watch a movie?" And asked me, picking me up from the counter.

"Yes, but only if I get to pick." He pouted. "But you picked last time." I leaned up and bit his lip, he sucked in a large breathe. "Fine, but no pouting." I tapped his nose as we walked up to his bedroom, cuddling on the bed and watching Insidious.
