~Stars Can't Shine Without Darkness~

Star's P.O.V.~


I wake up with an unfamiliar discomfort between my thighs. I rub my fore head and look to my right to see Andy still in a deep slumber. I smile softly and slowly sit up, keeping my legs attached. I bend down, picking up the scattered clothes across the bedroom floor. I stand up and pull up the underwear and a pair of black shorts before pulling on Andy's shirt from yesterday. I walk towards the door, avoiding the pain.

I head down stairs and walk into the kitchen to find Jinxx, CC, and Ashley sitting at the table. Ashley looked up at me and smirked. "Sounds like I wasn't the only one to get lucky. Huh?" Ashley asked in a singing voice. "Shut up Ash." I whined, cheeks flaming into a dark shade of pink. Jinxx chuckled as he hid his smile behind his coffee mug. I nudged Ashley's shoulder as I sat beside him. "So who was that girl?" I asked him. He shrugged. "I don't know." I closed my lips together and nodded slowly.

Andy came down stairs in just a pair of boxers, his long hair misshapen into a lion's main. "Hey cutie" I teased, ruffling his hair. A smile appeared on his face. "Hey beautiful" he kissed my lips. Behind was, we heard CC and Ashley mocking moaning sounds. "Fuck off guys" Andy chuckled. "So what're we doing today?" I asked, grabbing a muffin from the basket. "Wanna go to the mall or something? Walk around?" Andy suggested.

Andy pulled me out into the hallway. "Star, maybe you should invite Violet." He whispered, stroking my cheek. "Excuse me? Wait...what? I'm not inviting her." I snapped, crossing my arms. "Please angel. You guys were best friends. For me?" I huffed and clenched my jaw. "Fine. I'll be right back." I turned my back and walked up the stairs.

As I reached her door, I hesitated but knocked quickly. Noah opened it, in just sports shorts. "Vi-never mind." I went to turn around but he grabbed my wrist quite harshly. "What do you want?" He asked, glaring bullets into my head. "We're going to the mall. You two are welcome to come." I announced with as little emotion as possible. He smirked and itched the back of his neck. "We'll be ready in...20 minutes" he winked and closed the door in my face.

As promised, Violet and Noah came down the stairs within 20 minutes fully dressed. Jake drove while Jinxx was In the passenger seat, and Andy, Ashley, CC and I were piled into the back. "Wanna sit on my lap?" Ash teased, sending me a friendly wink. Andy pulled my hips onto his lap. "She's fine here thank you." He growled. Ashley shook his head and laughed, watching Violet and Noah climb into her silver car.

As we approached the mall, we all ran across the parking lot and into the entrance. Andy immediately latched hands with me as Jake met Ella at the jewelry department. Violet and Noah walked close to Andy and I, but away from Ashley. My heart ached for him. He was really starting to like Violet until she totally backtracked. We sat down near the Frozen Yogurt stand and sat at the booths. Ashley found interest on his phone while the rest of us volunteered to order. "Want anything Ashley?" Andy asks him, earning back a small nod.

As we finished our cups of yogurt, we starting walking again. Andy saw some old friends of his and I found myself standing there awkwardly as he reunited with them. They joined our group and I was soon left behind Andy. 'Had he even realized yet I wasn't beside him?' 'Does he care?' I walked behind them slowly, gazing to the floor until I bumped into the shortest guy. "I'm sorry." I mumbled. He shot me a gentle, but fake smile and turned back to Andy. When Andy finally noticed I wasn't beside him, he grasped my waist and pulled me close to him, but forgot about it as the shortest one told a joke and he starting laughing out loud. He continued to pay no attention to my existence. I decided to stop walking and take a seat at the bench. I looked back at him, still hasn't noticed.

"Having a little trouble there, huh?" Noah mocked me, coming up beside me after Violet went to the restroom. "Go away Noah" I moved my arms closer to my body. "Relax moonshine. I don't bite." He snickered. "Oh look! It's your good friend, Anthony." He smiled. "Hey Anthony!" He shouted out to him from across the store. Anthony turned to us and I grew nauseous. "Fuck you Noah." I snapped before moving away. Anthony was now right in front of Noah and I, Andy far ahead.

"Hello princess, funny seeing you here, yeah?" A smug look came across Anthony's face while his friends, including Brady, were beside him. "Leave me alone." I whispered, as they cornered me, noah just watched. Anthony's hand stroked my cheek before striking it with his fist. I fell to the side and I heard Noah laugh. Brady picked me back up and pulled my waist harshly by his, walking towards the exit. I started to panic.

"ANDY!" I screamed, earning another smack across my cheek.

Andy's P.O.V.~

I was listening to Kevin do an impression of a kid in his University class when I realized Star was no longer beside me. I looked around quickly. "What's wrong man?" Kevin asked, confusion showing. "Where's Star?" I started to get worried. Noah had gone away to after Violet went to the ladies room. They all shrugged. I turned my heel and speed walked towards the music store. I looked in frantically, but no luck.

"ANDY!" I heard a loud scream. Panic flashed mind as I started running toward the scream. Noah had
come out of the dvd store. "Where is she? Where's Star?" I shouted, adrenaline rising. "I don't know. She was with you" I gripped his black collar and pulled him closer to me. "Where is she?!" He had a look of satisfaction on his face. I threw him to the ground, knowing he wouldn't help. "They wanted her. I delivered."

They? Oh shit! I sprinted towards the exit and saw Anthony slam his car door shut. I sprinted over there and swung the door open. "What the FUCK do you think you're doing?!" I boomed, grabbing his shirt and dragging him out of the car. "We had a deal. She comes with me if I let the new chick go home. Chill man. I'll have her back by midnight." He popped his gum and stood back up. I saw Star kick Brady and throw the door open, fear and anger showed on her face. I kicked Anthony in the face and he fell backwards. I kicked his side, his ribs, then his face again. "The will be the last time I warn you Anthony. Stay the fuck away from her. Or I will kill you." I threatened. Brady punched me in the jaw but I quickly recovered. I swung my fist against his left cheek bone and he fell. Anthony tried to get up but i kicked him back down.

"Andy stop! Your going to kill him!" Ashley shouted, attempting to pull me away. It took me a moment to realize I was now on top of Anthony, repeatedly hitting his face. One hit. Two hits. Three hits. Four hits. The guys were crowded around me while Star was now bawling in fear and shock as CC hugged her. "ANDY. STOP. Your scaring her!" Ashley ripped me off of him and threw me to the ground. He got on top of me and held me down. I thrashed my arms around, trying to get back at him. I calmed down but my heart was still racing. Anthony lay barely conscious on the concrete ground. Brady and the other guy had ran off. Ashley got off of me and pulled me up.


Star was latched onto CC's shirt as he rubbed her back. I brushed the blood onto my shirt and slowly walked over. I placed a hand in her shoulder but her eyes were filled with fear. "Star, baby, come here." I begged, kneeling down to their height. She turned her head. I sighed and ruffled my hair. I rubbed her back softly as she began to relax, but still crying. "This wouldn't of happened if y-you didn't ignore-re me" she sobbed, "I know, I know baby. I'm sorry. Please. Come here." She slowly turns towards me. No more tears are flowing but she looks upset and pissed. "You can't do what we did last night and ignore me all the next day just because you found friends. It's not fair." She barked, standing up. I dropped my gaze down to the floor.

"I didn't know you weren't beside me" I tried to explain. "That's because I was invisible to you and your group." She snapped again, placing her hands on her hips. I just realized how her white topped dress with the yellow bottom hugged her body, showing it off. I bit my lip slightly, absent minded to what she's saying. "Andy! Are you even fucking listening to me?" She sounded hurt, and crossed her arms. "I...uh...yeah?" Unconvinced, she turned her converse covered heel and began to walk away.
"Wait...wait...Star!" I shouted, running after her. She ignored me. "Ugh...STAR!" I screamed, causing her to come to a sharp halt. "What." She turned to face me. Her face was a slight shade of red and tears were rolling down her bruised face. "I'm sorry." I pleaded, my own tears threatened. "You're always sorry. Aren't you? Andy, last night was one of the most amazing nights of my life. But it hurt for you to just turn around and ignore me for some stuck up guys." She said in a harsh but quiet tone. "You don't know them" why was I defending them? Shock appeared on her face. "You're really going to fucking defend them right now? I've said this once, and I meant it. You love Me? Prove it. Ignoring me isn't impressive. I have officially given you every part of me. Don't waste it." Small tears were racing down my cheeks. "I-I know Star. I'm sorry." I said again, grabbing her hand in my own. "Take me home." I nodded sadly as she walked passed me and towards the car. Ashley stared at me softly and gave a crooked frown. Star avoiding sitting on my lap in the car and instead sat in CC's. I was annoyed by her choosing him instead but I couldn't blame her.

Jake pulled into the driveway and Star immediately stepped out of the vehicle and wandered through the yard to get to the door. She waited patiently for one of us to open the door. Violet and Noah pulled up behind us. Jinxx turned the key and let Star in. She thanked him and avoided all gaze with me. I plopped down onto the sofa and stared at the ground.

"What happened man?" Ashley asked. I sighed and out my head in my hands. "I don't even....I don't even know. Things were perfect yesterday. It's amazing how one day could possibly ruin everything." I cried silently as he patted me on the back.

Star's P.O.V.~

I lay on the sheets of my bed and stare at the ceiling. Was I to hard on him? Tears rolled down my cheeks until I heard a knock on my bedroom door. "Go away Andy" I whimpered, viciously,wiping tears from my eyes. The knocking continued. I exhaled heavily and stood up, walking towards the door. I swung it open.

"Look Andy, I don't-Violet?" She was standing in front of my door, looking down at her hands nervously.
"H-hey Star..." She started, gazing up at me. "Hey.." I mumbled back..rocking back and forth on my heels. "I...I wanted to say I was sorry. For...well...everything." She admitted. I opened the door more and let her in. I gazed up to her. No words formed. "Well...I guess I should...uhm...go..." She stood up slowly and inched her way towards the door. "Wait...Violet...me too." I said shyly. She gave a soft smile. "So...are we okay?" She asked nervously. She doesn't know what happened today but I know she can feel the tension radiating from me. "Yeah. We're alright." I sighed.

"Goodnight Star." She smiled, walking out and closing the door behind her. "Goodnight" I changed out of my dress into a tank top and lay under the covers. The bed feels so cold and empty compared to when Andy's with me. Last night was perfect. But today....I broke down in tears thinking out it for the millionth time, and drifted off into a sleep. No dreams. No nightmares. No Andy. Nothing.
