~Stars Can't Shine Without Darkness~

Star's P.O.V.~

i woke up from the blinding sun shining through the curtains, which are clearly not doing it job. I slide out from under Andy and slip on some yoga pants. I run my hand through my hair, untangling it and make my way down stairs. I smell the scent of pancakes as I reach the bottom of the stairs. I cover my yawn and walk into the kitchen to see a shirtless Noah cooking. I rolled my eyes and went towards the fridge.

"Good morning Moonshine." He smirks at his not so clever nickname he gave me in the ninth grade. "Fuck off." I groaned, pouring a bowl of Special K's choc. And strawberries mix. "Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Stay up to long giving your boy toy head, I see?" He remarked. I took the empty cereal box in my hand and threw it at his head. "Ow you bitch." I chuckled a bit before scooping my spoon into the mix of sweets and berries. "good morning Noa- oh. Hi star." Violet rolled her eye, hugging Noah. I ignored her and rinsed my bowl out before roaming back up the stairs.

i wiped off the extra make up and began to think about last night in the shower. We were almost so close to doing something...but I stopped him. In a way, I was glad I did. I do want to wait awhile til I think about...that. But what would he have done if I didn't stop him? Would it of hurt? Was he upset that I stopped him? I have so many questions but no answers. Would I be ready to do something more than kissing? That's something I need to figure out myself...I wish I still had friends to talk to. I haven't even talked to Sunni lately but she's been hanging out with the preps. Not so much Britney, but the other ones.

I pulled on a black shirt with a silver heart in the middle and some dark blue jeans with white metallic butterflies going up the right thigh. I slipped on my high black boots and kissed Andy lightly on the forehead before leaving for school.

i walked into the school and walked straight towards my locker, not a thought about Violet's. Unlocking my locker, I thought about what had happened with Sunni and Violet. We were always so close, but now, Sunni's finding new girls to go to prom with, Violet's with her abusive ex, and I have the boy of my dreams. But I'm not happy. I miss them. But people separate.

i walked into my first period class to everyone staring at the doorway. I uncomfortably look behind me to see a girl with gorgeous brunette hair and tan skin, wearing a Jack Daniel's muscle top with some Galaxy shorts topped with purple and black high converse. She had a black beanie covering her head with the words 'Pierce the Veil' over the front. Her arms were covered in bracelets. Some Pierce the Veil, the B.O.T.D.F., and some covered in chains. I smiled at her taste of music and made my way towards the back, avoiding Britney's Stare.

The girl walked in the class nervously with her head down has Britney instantly started whispering to her friends. She nervously made her way back here and sat in the seat next to me. The seat that Anthony usually sits in. "Hey" her quiet voice said. "Hey" I gave her a small smile, telling her it's okay to sit by me. "I'm Star, what's your name?" I introduced myself, hoping to get at least a few words from her. "Winter...I moved here from Arizona." She practically whispered. "I've always wanted to visit there. I heard it's beautiful." I gave her a smile and looked at the front when I felt a piece of balled up paper hit my head.

I opened it it up and read it. 'Go kill yourself, slut.' I rolled my eyes and rolled it back up and threw it back at Britney. She smirked and looked back up at the front. "I could say the same to you, you fucking whore!" I screamed. She stood up and walked towards my desk, grabbing my hair. "What did you just say?" I smirked and looked at her. "Get away from me! I don't want the smell of whoevers dick was in your mouth last in my air." I pushed her away. "For your information, that would be your little boy toy." I scowled and stood up. "Ms. Benson please sit down and Britney get back to your seat!" The teacher snapped. I sat back down as Britney walked back up to her seat.

"What was that?" Winter asked me. "Britney's a bully. She'll make your life hell if you let her." I sighed before putting my hand son my head. "You okay?" She asked, worried. "Yeah, yeah. She just hit a nerve." I gave her a small, gentle smile.

i walked into lunch. Looking for a place to sit. Violet had already made her self fit in with a group. Sunni was with the preps. And I was alone. "Yeah again!" Winter greeted me with her notebooks in hand. "Hey" I said back with little emotion. "Uhm...you could..sit with me?" She offered, nodding towards the table I the corner. I smiled softly and followed her. "Fat ass." Tiffany scoffed while walking back to her seat. I looked down at my tray in disapprovment. The French fries and sandwich stared back at me as I pushed my tray away.

"Hey, don't listen to them. I know how you feel." Winter reassured me, playing a small hand on my shoulder. "Yeah it just...gets old." she nodded in agreement before taking a small fry from my tray. "I know"

I walked out of the school and sent Andy a text that I was on my way. I saw Winter walking alone on the other side of the street, head low. Then I saw Anthony behind her, but she didn't seem to notice. I saw him walk up to her as she backed away. She pushed his hand away and tried to walk but he gripped her arm. "Anthony! You leave her alone!" I screamed, running across the street.

"And look who's here to save the day. Come on baby, she looks easy. She won't deny it as much as you." He argued. Winter looked scared as Brady and the other gathered around her. "Anthony, please. She didn't do anything to you. Leave her alone." I begged, looking behind him to see her cornered. "Someone's jealous?" I rolled my eyes. "Okay, I'll make you a deal doll. You come home with me, and I'll let her go home since your being a baby about it." I widened my eyes. "W..what no! Stop. Just let her go home. She's new here and your not making a good impression." I fought back. Brady had his hand on her hip and she wiggled away from it. "Then I guess I'll have to take her home." He started walking away and grabbed her arm and started walking. "Wait!" What the fuck was I doing?! He turned around smirked. "Do we have a deal?" Why was I doing this for someone I barely knew? Who knows. "Y-yes. Anthony. Leave her alone."

He threw her stuff to the ground as she frantically tried to pick it all up, keeping us from seeing it all. He gripped my hair and started dragging me towards his car. "What the fuck is your problem?" Winter shouted, oh no. "Excuse me?" Anthony growled. "Let her go! Seriously why the hell?!" "Winter, let it go. Go home." I demanded. "No! This is bullshit. Their fucking perverts! There's a place for them. It's called JAIL." She called out. Anthony threw me to the ground and walked over to her. I scrambled to my feet and stepped in front of Anthony. "please Anthony, don't. Leave her alone." I growled, pushing him back. He scowled at me before grabbing the collar of my shirt. "We had a deal baby doll. Get in that fucking car." He growled, pushing me towards it. By this time, Winter had finally listened to me and ran home.

Brady shoved my back against the car and kissed my neck. I pushed him away but he pushed back. I groaned and shoved him back harshly, making him land on his ass. I kicked Anthonyin the shin and started to run. The five of them quickly got up and started chasing me. But I picked up speed. Stopped for a second to take of my shoes and started sprinted through yards to get to Andy.

One block left. I've ran about two so far to get away from them but they were still chasing me! I saw the house in a distance and took a deep breathe before putting all my energy into my legs. I heard them cursing and shouting things at me as I reached the right street, jumping onto the porch. I practically kicked the door open and slammed it shut. I slid down it and took deep breathes. "star? Is that you?" I heard Jinxx call. When I didn't answer he came out and saw me sitting there, body laced with sweat. "What happened to you?" His voice was covered in worry. "Anthony-Anthony" I coughed out before standing up. I wiped the sweat from my forehead and walked to the kitchen.

"Where's Andy?" I asked, chugging down water from the bottle. "He went out with the others. I stayed back to make sure the house didn't burn down from you and Violet." He playfully said, adding a wink to the end. "Ha. Ha." I sarcastically said, plopping down on the chair. "So what happened with Anthony?" He asked, throwing away my empty bottle. "Well there's a new girl. And he was messing with her. I told him to stop, and he said that if I go home with him he'll let her go. I agreed to get her away but then kicked him and Brady away and ran home." I got out my phone, no texts. I slightly frowned but let it be covered. "He's a dick." Jinxx scoffed. I nodded and waited for Andy to get home.
