~Stars Can't Shine Without Darkness~

*Flashback*

Star's P.O.V~
We were in my backyard playing a game of flashlight tag with all the boys in the neighborhood. It was extremely dark, and no one could see where they were going . With an exception of the taggers, Andy and someone new in the neighborhood. They were chasing all the others, including me, when I slipped and fell onto the concrete. My face smashed onto the ground and I instantly felt the warm feeling of blood running out of my nose. Andy sprinted over to me and helped me stand on my own two feet. Helping me so we could go up to my house and I could get cleaned up. He soaked the dark colored wash cloth in the warm temperature well water, and gently scrubbed the dry blood that plastered itself on my face, then finally put a batman themed Band-Aid on my right cheek. "Really Andy? Batman?" I joked. "He's a hero!" Andy smirked, "And your mine." I playfully added, nudging his shoulder, making his face be swallowed by the light pink that occasionally appeared on his smooth skinned cheeks.

*End of Flashback*

Violet and I waited for Sunni to get ready for school as we paced back and forth across my bedroom; talking about what we had planned on wearing to our 12th grade prom this year. "I was thinking of wearing a long, neon purple dress along with a nice pair of silver four inch heels." Violet started the conversation. Honestly, it was only the beginning of October, and I wasn't even sure if I wanted to go to this year's prom. They had promised to go with me, but prom was about going out with your lovers, not your best friends. Of course, if they found out I was thinking about not going, they wouldn't be the slightest bit happy with me.
Sunni finally got all ready to go as I snatched up my bag from my bed and the three of us headed out to Violet's silver car. Deciding we needed our usual morning drinks, we stopped at Sunshine Smoothie's. I ordered first, I got my white chocolate, peanut butter smoothie; Violet and Sunni decided they wanted to share a large sized banana, peanut butter smoothie with whipped cream and peanut drizzle on top as we went on our way to Washington High in California. Walking into school, each of us stopped at our lockers and got all our materials for our first three classes.
Once lunch had finally came, I had a tray full of barely cooked chicken nuggets, with French fries on the side. We all met at our spot in front of the school, under the big maple tree covered in multiple colored leaves. Ever since the tenth grade, we had chosen here to be our meeting spot whenever it was lunch, or another free period we had.

Andy's P.O.V~
Jinxx was sick with a common cold so Ashley stayed home with him while Jake, CC, and I went out to the closest grocery store for some food to bring home. We grabbed some chips, cheese, crackers, and other important foods that all five of us enjoyed eating as well. Once we left the store, we headed to the beer shop right next door and grabbed two six packs of our favorites and drove home.
I graduated two years ago , and finally got into Washington University. Washington University is a college that has some of the best top classes in CA and most importantly, parties. I expected to get into that school awhile ago, so I didn't bother with moving out of my parents house. When I realized that it wouldn't happen as soon as I wanted it to, I asked to move in with the guys. They had a very nice house, but with five guys, and two bathrooms, we always bickered back and forth about who else would have to wait to get a shower. I started getting up two hours before everyone else so I wouldn't be rushed.
When we got back home, Ashley was sitting on the floor eating some frosted flakes, watching Orange is the New Black while Jinxx was passed out on the couch.

Star's P.O.V.~
We quickly ran upstairs to my bedroom and turned on the ABC channel to watch our all time favorite tv show, Pretty Little Liars. I ended up getting so into the show that I hadn't even realized that Violet and Sunni were both taking turns reading my old diary from eighth grade. "Who's Andy?" asked Violet. I looked up and ran over to grab the book from her hands when I tripped over my own foot and stumbled onto the floor. I got back and reached for the diary when she teasingly held the book up higher than what I could reach. "Star, who is Andy?" she asked again, while curiosity took over her facial expressions. "He's just one of my old friends who use to live in the neighborhood." I explained, still attempting to get the book from her. "Just a friend? Not even I, put that many hearts around my crushes names. Did you ever date him?" "No, he was just one of my crushes who moved away and I haven't seen him since." She grinned while responding. "And how long has it been since you've since this Andy kid?" I thought about it for a second until I finally remembered. " About four years, I think." Violet and Sunni looked at each other for a moment. "Well my darling, that's going to have to change isn't it?" Sunni smirked as if she just came up with the best idea ever.
We got changed into our warm and cozy pajamas and fell asleep, spread out on my bed like we never wanted anything else but to just sleep.
