I Swear I'll Never Let You Die

I smiled through the glass at Jasey and Dani. I was recording a song called Lost It All, that I had written for Jasey about her sister.

Danielle was in her lap and she was bouncing her up and down while CC made Dani laugh. I wanted nothing more than to be the one sitting next to my wife and playing with our child, but I had to record this song. It was one of the last ones left.

"Okay, Andy. What are you thinking about for guests on this song?" John Feldman, our producer, asked me.

"I don't know." I said, rubbing my temples. I wanted a girl on this track but we had no idea who.

"Well, we'll keep looking." He said, "I think we've got all we need on that one, man. Take a break." I nodded, and took my headphones off. I walked out to my family and plopped down beside her.

"Hey love, you sounded great in there." She smiled and kissed my cheek.

"Thanks." I said, rubbing Dani's back. CC's eyes were still locked on her.

"She is so cute. How did you guys make this adorable little thing!?" He exclaimed.

"Oh wow, thanks C." I laughed, picking her up and holding her to my chest. Her little head rested on my shoulder and her hands curled around my arm. Jasey smiled and smoothed the little hair she had down on her head.

"Sleepy girl." She said, as Dani's breath evened.

"When I have to go back in there she's going to be pissed." I whispered.

"I'll hold her!" CC exclaimed.

Jasey laughed and rubbed Dani's back, "We'll see." She woke herself up and let out a small cry before full on sobbing.

"Awh no!" I said, holding her up. She kept on crying so Jasey took her and stood up.

"I'll go calm her down." She said, walking out. I leaned back and folded my hands behind my head.

"You've got a great family man." John said.

"Thank you." I smiled. Suddenly, a melody so beautiful filled my ears I thought I melted right then.

We all exchanged looks and stood up. I leaned my ear to the door to hear that it was Jasey singing to Dani.

What will become of my dear friend?

Where will his actions lead us then? And thought I'd like to change the crowd in their enthusiastic cloud.

Try as I may, it doesn't last. And will we ever, end up together?

No. I think not, it's never to become.

For I am not the one.

John was staring at me with his mouth open. "Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" He asked and I nodded. I opened the door and she snapped her attention towards me.

"You have too sing on Lost It All."
