I Swear I'll Never Let You Die

I heard a few greetings as Amy, Chris, and Andy walked to the front room. I continued to make the eggs for everyone as they walked into the kitchen.

"Oh Jasey!" My mom said. She walked to me and wrapped me in a hug. I noticed Andy still holding Dani and frowned as my dad looked at her in disdain.

"Hey guys." I said, waving at my dad before turning my attention back to the food. "I'm making breakfast if y'all want some."

"We'd love some." She said. Andy walked over to us, bouncing Dani on his hip. I noticed tears in my mother's eyes as she looked at her. She glanced at my father and I saw him shake his head softly. She nodded, making me frown.

"Mom, you should hold Danielle." I smiled, setting her up. Andy smiled and held her out. "You haven't seen her in forever." I watched Dani closely as she hid her head in Andy's shoulder.

She was terribly shy around people she didn't know, all the more evidence that my parents were terrible about her.

"I don't know if that's a good idea." My mom swallowed hard. Dani looked up at her with fearful eyes before letting out a cry.

"Oh no.." Andy said, bouncing her. "That's grandma." She continued her crying and Andy sighed. My mom walked over to my father and I noticed Amy and Chris looking sadly at us. I took the pan of eggs off the burner and sat them down. Dani was crying hard: even harder when she saw my dad. I rubbed her back, trying to help Andy calm her down but it wasn't working. "I'll go try to help get her to sleep."

"I'll help." I said, "Amy, could you put the eggs out for me? Im so sorry."

"Oh no problem!" Amy smiled and kissed my cheek. I followed Andy into our bedroom. Dani was still sniffling as she held on to Andy's shoulder. Her tiny hand reached up to touch his hair.

"She doesn't even know who they are." I seethed as Andy sat on our bed. He laid back with Dani still in his arms. I laid down with them, and draped my arm across her back. Her eyes had closed and now she was breathing evenly.

"Your dad still hates me." He said, lightly scratching Andy's back.

"I wish they weren't here." I said, and kissed his cheek.

"I want them to be a part of her life but she's scared of them. That's ridiculous!" Andy shook his head. Dani stirred on his chest but ultimately gave into sleep.

"I know." I sighed. He leaned over to kiss me and then Dani babbled something her sleep. Andy giggled.

"God I love her." He shook his head.

"Me too." I smiled. "It hurts to know that my parents don't love her."

"At least my parents love her." He said.

"Your right." I said, "Let's get her in the crib and go out there." I stood up and Andy put Danielle in her crib. We walked out hand in hand to see Amy, Chris, and my parents all eating.

"Is she alright?" Amy asked.

"Yeah, she's napping now." I said. We sat down next to each other, hands still clasped.

"So how is work, Jasey?" My dad asked. Andy put eggs on both of our plates.

"It's good. I'm Uh working on the role of Juliet in Romeo and Juliet. It's exciting." I said, taking a sip of coffee.

"Thats nice. Andy?" My dad, raised his eyebrows.

"We're working on our third album. It's coming out in a few months actually." Andy said.

"Great." My dad smiled fakely.

"So I bought Dani the cutest outfit yesterday. I'll get it after breakfast." Amy said.

"Oh that reminds me! Andy, I had a jumper made online for Dani. It has the BVB logo on it and it's absolutely adorable." I gushed.

"Sounds cute." Andy smiled.

"It will be." I said, taking a bite of eggs. "Do you have to go in today?"

"For a little while. I'm tracking vocals." He said. "Maybe you could come with?"

"I-"

"You should Jase, we'll take you parents out and show them around. Take Dani with you and have her hear him sing." Amy smiled.

"Yes please, Jay? You haven't been once." He pleaded.

"Okay, okay." I laughed.

"Let's finish up eating and we'll head out." He said, and I nodded. Hopefully Chris and Amy would talk some sense into my parents.
