Falling In Jake's Arms

The drive was kind of long. We only stopped at a few red lights so we were making good time. We slowed as the green light turned to yellow. We came to a complete stop behind two cars. The one in the front was a black van with tinted windows. I couldn’t see who was inside but i’m sure it isn’t anything I want to know about. Right in front of us is a small pink car. Theres a young blond probably only sixteen. I’m sure the car was a present. The light turned green. The black van left but the pink stayed. Jake honked only to have her give him the bird. She finally moved forward. As started to move forward I was blinded by a bright white light only to hear the faint sound of metal against metal. Then everything went black.
I woke up, but not in the car. I was in the hospital. I turned around and saw Jake Unconscious laying in the bed next to mine. Ronnie rushed in and hugged me. At that moment I felt a mixture of pain and happiness. “Ow.” I said as I looked up only to see my arm in a cast all the way up to my shoulder. “Oh my gosh. Sorry. Are you okay?” He asked me. I simply nodded. “What happened to Jake. Will he be okay?” I said a little worried. “He’s in a coma.” Ronnie said a hint of sorrow in his tone. “How did this happened?” I asked. “You and Jake were crashed into by a some drunk guy who didn’t even bother to see if you were okay. Jake hit his head on the handle of the car. While you were hit by the other cars impact and almost shattered your left arm. We are stuck here until he wakes up.” I almost cried. What if he died? What would I do without him? Four days had passed and still with no sign of Jake waking up. The doctor said It would be fine if I wanted to walk around the hospital. Every day I walk over to Jake’s bed. I hold him. I kiss him. I plead with him everyday hoping he will hear me. Hoping he will wake up. One day I was just so sleepy. I just had to rest for a while.
Jake’s POV
I woke up. All I heard was heavy breathing. I couldn’t see her. Where is she? I started to panic. Calm down Jake. Calm down. I slowly looked over to the side. I just saw her there. Was she in a coma? Her arm was in a cast from her fore arm to her solder. I turned to look to the other side. I couldn’t stand to see her in this state of health. Ronnie was in a chair at the front of the room. “Ronnie, what happened?” I asked him. “You were in a coma.” I looked around confused. “I was? Is Aurora?” He shook his head. “She is just sleeping. The doctor said she should be just fine. It was you that everyone was worried about. We were just waiting for you to wake up. Ready to leave?” I nodded. “Do you want me to wake her up or do you?” He looked at me then at Aurora. “Um, let her sleep.” he nodded. The nurse took all the wires off of me. (End of Jake’s POV)
I woke up. I saw Jake. He’s okay. He had already packed our things. I only had to check myself out. My arm still hurts. Am I really that fragile? Did I really almost shatter my whole arm? I got up. A nurse helped me to get my blouse and shorts on. I lowered myself off the bed to the floor and put on my converse. Things have really changed since I broke my arm.
