long lost

Me and my family arrive at my favorite restaurant, flowing tide, and I order my usual order (plate of mixed wings and water) and my brother and father have settled into the comfortable conversation about sports my mother was doing something on her phone and I was fiddling with my napkin and didn't notice that the sleeve of my sweater had moved up with the movement of my arm.
"what's that?" My mother asked staring straight at my arm
"Hmm? What's what?" I replied pretending I didn't know what she was talking about.
"that.. On your arm" my mother grabbed my arm and I saw her face pale at the sight of my brothers address on my arm from when I copied it down earlier that day
"Mom?" I said nervous
"How did u get this?" My mother whispered.. By this time my father Eric and brother Chris were listening to me and my mothers conversation, both had curiosity and confusion showing on there face.. My fathers looked a tad worried when he saw the address
"I found the letter in your room.."
"What letter..?" My mother asked so quietly I almost didn't hear her..
"The one to my brother... My real one... Mom when were u gonna tell me??" I couldn't hide the betrayal from my voice as I looked into my mothers eyes
"we were..actually not planning on telling you..we uhm.. never wanted you feel as if you were out of place in this family.." my father answered for my mother.. who was sitting there with her head down in guilt.. chris was staring at my parents his eyes wide with shock.
"you thought we would treat her differently? didnt you see how close we are? You honistly thought that we would love her less if we knew she was adopted?" my brother asked in disbelief
"its not that.." my mother said quietly
"then what is it!!" i half shouted. the table next to us look over at us in horror. i sent the couple a glare and they went back to their food.
"we figured it didnt matter if they treated you differently or not.. you would still feel it..like u didnt belong because u werent blood." my mother said voice shaking a little bit
"do u know me at all??" i continued to shout my anger rising "chris, andy, and jessica are my step sibilings and eric is my step father!! there not blood but i still call them dad and brothers and sister!! they are still family!! and tell me chris do u feel different? do u feel as if u dont belong to this family because u are not blood? do me courtney, chelsea and sammy not make u feel like u diserve to be in this family?" i asked my brother. Anger almost at its peak from all the lies and crazy exuces my mother was making.
"no, not all" my brother answered clearly having my side in all this. i bumped his knee under the table to show him i was gratful he had my back. he sent me a nod in return. my mom opened her mouth like she was going to say something but my dad interupted her
"call rose douglas you making a scene in a public resteraunt... we can talk about this more at home but for now we are going to eat our dinner like a family!" then as if on que our food came and we ate in a tence silence.. no one saying a word.. i was still feel angry but it started to fade.. sadness taking its place..ive never felt so betrayed...
as if he could sense my feelings my brother chris put his hand on top my mine.. i looked at him and he gave me a sad half smile.. one that i return.. that was his way of saying sorry.. me and him are the closest out of all the other siblings.. i am the youngest out of 7 kids sense my mom remarried when i was 6.. the second youngest is my step brother andy who was the bad kid of the group till he found love and moved to colorado two years ago.. then there was my 'blood' sisters the twins courtney and chelsea whom both had kids at a young age and went to live with there 'baby daddies' then there was my 'blood' brother sammy who also found love and moved to vagas where he got married and had a daughter .. but then three years ago he joined the army and i havent seen him sense.. then jess who moved to texas with her husband and kids.
And Chris.. The one who stayed with me and helped me when I started to struggle.. He is the reason I was able to graduate.. He is my best friend.. He took me to my first concert..and is the reason I'm so passionate about music.. He has gone to all of my bands concerts..
Once we had finished eating my dad paid the bill and we went home...
"Calla we need to talk about this!" My mother said when we ended our home..
" mom we needed to talk about this years ago but right now.. I'm not in the mood." I replied not hiding the hurt in my voice..
"Calla-"
"She's right" my dad interrupted my mother "I think we all need some time to calm down.."
My mother nodded
And with that being said I stormed into my room and slammed my door just like I used to do when I was 16 and god damn it felt good!

Authors note: hey sorry it took awhile to post! My computer was being stupid XD hope u enjoyed this chapter!!! I bet you are wondering who the brother is and who the love interest is ;) well ill tell un right now u will find out who the brother is in the next chapter!! But for now comment your guess on who u think the brother is and who the love interest it :)) ill upload soon :)
