Don't Let Me Go

ANDY'S POV

"Ash, I swear, I didn't do anything!" Ashley had called me minutes ago, freaking out abut Madi, and saying t's all my fault. I didn't understand... Until I got to the hospital. She had lost too much blood.. The chances of her surviving were less than ten percent. Ashley was crying, like, really crying. I had never seen him like this before He was angry and hurt at the same time. And all those emotions were enclosed in his fist as he swung at me, and grazed my jaw line. Instantly CC and Jake held him back. Jinxx hadn't gotten to the hospital yet because he was dealing with a family issue of his own. We all understood that.

The guys and I had arrived before the ambulance so as we watched, horrified, while they wheeled Madi into the emergency room, all I saw was Ashley hit the ground, a numb expression on his face. He kept mumbling something inaudible. I leaned closer cautiously, trying to avoid another fist in my face. I heard him whispering "How...?" Over and over.

I know I should have been thinking about Ashley, and comforting him, but, all I could think about was the dead look in those once bright brown eyes, the small drops of crimson colored blood dotting the floor, trailing her wherever they took her. Her hand lay lifelessly over the side of the stretcher while they pumped oxygen into her lungs with a mask. How did this happen? What went wrong?
