Chapter 6
Madi's POV
“Please, Madi, tell me what happened.”
I sobbed into his chest. I decided to tell him.
“You leaving, mom & dad dying, me getting bullied. It was hard for me, Ashley, after you left. I had no one except my only real friend Micah.”
Ashley had tears in his eyes.
“Before I met Micah, I did blame you for me cutting. I was like 'How could my only sibling, my only friend, my ally, leave me behind?' But Micah helped me see that who was I to stop you from chasing your dreams? How could I be so selfish like that? I didn't stop cutting though. I tried giving it up, but then four years ago Mom & Dad were killed in a car accident caused by a drunk driver coming home from my school play, as I was heading to Micah's house. And I got bullied because of them dying.”
“What would they say?” Ashley asked.
“Things like 'Looks like little orphan Annie has an emo problem', 'I'm sorry you're too ugly for your parents.', or 'Your brother left because he couldn't stand you.' Micah always stood up for me.”
“I'm sorry I wasn't there for you when you needed me the most.”
The blood had mostly stopped, but I could tell something was wrong. Madi looked ashy gray.
“Ashley, I don't feel good.”
Then she passed out.
“MADI! MADI, PLEASE WAKE UP!”
Ashley grabbed his cellphone, and called 911.
Madi's POV
“Please, Madi, tell me what happened.”
