Misunderstood

Raven's P.O.V

I kept hitting the lock button to make sure that my doors were locked. I kept head bent looking onto my lap and kept praying to not let me be hurt in anyway. I heard a soft tap on the window. There was no way I was going to look up. I twiddled my thumbs and kept biting lip in nervousness. Bad habit.

I heard the gentle tap on the window once again. When I didn't look up or show any response, I heard a deep voice go through the thin window. My eyes fluttered open and slowly and hesitantly looked up.

There was those icy blue orbs looking down upon me. But they weren't the normal blue eyes that I become acostomed too. They were etched with sadness and worry. I saw his lips mouth the words,"Open the door."

I just unlocked the door and opened the door without taking my eyes off of his porcelain tinted face. Once the door was open, I didn't unbuckle my seat belt or even move the position I was in.

There he stood and me sitting in complete and utter silence. Consumed in each other gaze. He broke the stillness with him kneeling down to my level. I hadn't notice that I was crying until I felt his hand cup my face and let his thumb wipe away the stray tears that had fallen. I leaned my head into his head while I closed my eyes.

I sat there with his hand warming up my freezing cold cheek. I then felt his breath on my lips. I opened my eyes reluctantly worried that this all might be a dream. I opened my eyes to his face centimeters from mine. He closed the small gap between us and kissed me. It was desperate but in a gentle way if that even makes sense.

More tears fell, but he kept wiping them away with his thumb. I wrapped my arms around his neck pleading for his touch. I unbuckled the seatbelt really quick and wrapped my arms back around his neck. He kept his hands cupped around my face.

Almost too quickly it was over, and we just stood there centimeters away from each other just looking at each other breathing in sharp gasps.

"I love you." He whispered.

"But-" He cut me off by softly shushing me.

He kissed my nose then picked me up and out of my car. I was afraid to fall so I wrapped my arms around his waist and hugged him with all my might. He hugged right back. His arms around the small of my back and mine around his neck.

We stayed silent enjoying each other company. I took a slow gradual breath so I could breathe him in. He smelled the same of mint and vanilla.

I didn't want this to end. It can't end.
