Misunderstood

Raven's P.O.V

I looked up at Andy and saw him smiling. I just looked down. I heard giggling and chuckling and looked up and saw Andy and Emerald laughing at me. I just flicked them both off and walked back to the tattoo shop. I saw the guys that I knew and hated in high school. Ashley, Jinxx, Jake, and CC.

"Hi." I heard a timid Jinxx said.

I looked at him in surprise. I guess they saw the look on my face because they all looked sorry. I mean actually genuinely sorry.

"Hi." I said.

"I just want to say sorry. About everything. And I want you to know that every single one of us has changed."

I slightly smiled. Then I heard Andy and Em walk in. I turn around and smile.

"Ok I have a great idea!" Emerald said loudly! I don't think she has a quiet voice at all.

"Ok and what is that?" I asked laughing slightly.

"Let's go and get something to eat. Just eat and get to know each other. The real us!" I nod for my answer of yes.

"Well we were going to get some tattoos but they can wait." Ashley said smiling at Emerald.

"LETS GO THEN!' CC yelled. He yelled so loud that I covered my ears. We left the tattoo place after the boys canceled their appointments. We all got in iur own cars. Well except Emerald since she rode in my car with me. We decided to go to IHOP and that's where we went.

When we got their, we sat in a big booth closer to the back of the restaurant because that's where all the big booths were. I sat in between Emerald and Andy on one side of the booth. Jinxx, Jake, and Ashley sat on the other side. CC had to sit on a chair that he pulled up because their was still too many of us.

I ordered the 3 buttermilk pancakes with a side of eggs. Em got the same as me except she chocolate chip pancakes. Andy got a ham and cheese omelette with a side of three pancakes. Jinxx, Jake, and Ashley got a similar variation of Andy's food. And CC ordered a stack of five pancakes, a side of eggs, bacon, and sausage.

When we got our food, we decided to get to actually know each other and what's been going on for he past four years. Andy and the guys started a band called Black Veil Brides. Jake and Jinxx have fiancés. CC has a girlfriend. Emerald looked a little bummed when she found that out. Ashley was known as a womanizer. I'm not surprised. And Andy was just a normal single dude. That's how he explained it anyways.

"So what have you been up to Raven?" Andy asked me.

"Well, I now live in an apartment with Em. I go to college. I'm majoring in writing. I want to be a novelist or anything of the sort. I'm single still. Not surprising. Um well there really isn't much to know." I said laughing. I looked up from my pancakes and saw Andy staring at me. I don't mean the creepy type of staring. Or even the glaring type of staring. He was staring at me in a.... loving way? I just looked right back at him and smiled just in the slightest.

He broke the silence by saying," How?"

"How what?" I asked still looking at him intently.

"How are you still single?"

I just looked down and giggled.

"I don't go out much. And when I do I don't go out to meet guys. So I really haven't met any. Weird huh?" I asked still laughing a little bit.

"Not in the slightest." He said smiling at me while looking me in the eyes.

"Ok lovebirds enough of that." I broke out of the trance and saw that Ashley had said that while laughing. I looked at him in a confused way.

"What do you mean by lovebirds?" Asked still confusion written all over my face.

"Girl it's pretty clear you both have something for each other." Emerald said.

"This is the first time we have talked in the past four years. We aren't lovebirds. Well I got to go. I have a short story to write for my fiction writing class. Are you going with me, Em?"

"Um no. I will have the guys drop me off later." She said smiling.

"Ok. See you guys later." With that I walked out of the restaurant and got into my car.

When I got home, I made myself some buttery popcorn. I poured it into a bowl and then poured a lot of m&ms in the bowl. Yummy! I grabbed myself a water and then walked to my room. I sat on my bed and put my laptop on my lap. I have to write a short story for my fiction writing class. I think I'm going to write a horror short story.

I usually could write a short story no problem, but right now I can't even type my first paragraph. I can't focus. Finally, I sat my laptop on my bedside table and laid down and continued to eat my salty and sweet popcorn. All I could think about is what Ashley called Andy and me. Lovebirds. Why out of all the things he could have called us, why did he call us lovebirds? But more more importantly why was one word bothering me that much?.....

Lovebirds.
