I Dare You

"Happy birthday!,"I heard someone yelled. I jumped up and screamed, falling off my bed.

"Aw! Again!," I rubbed my head. I stood up and saw my dad and Crystal.

"My little sister is finally eighteen! Come here!," she ran over and jumped on me, knocking me down on my bed. I groaned and pushed her off of me.

"You guys know I hate it when you wake me up like that. One of these days you're going to kill me!".

"Oh lighten up! I made you breakfast," said dad as he placed my breakfast on my bed. I smiled and hugged him.

"Thanks, dad".

"Uh, WE made you breakfast," said Crystal as she pushed my dad aside and hugged me.

"You did absolutely nothing!".

"I placed the rose in the vase!".

"That's it, you didn't do any of the hard work!".

"You guys calm down. I swear it's like your brother and sister. It's weird". My dad chuckled and kissed Crystal's forehead.

"Anyways I have to get going. There's a meeting that suddenly came up and it's very important".

"But dad, it's my birthday!".

"I know sweetie, I know. I'll try to leave and get here on time, okay?". I pouted.

"Okay". He kissed my head and headed out.

"So, are you excited?," Crystal asked as she took a bite of my toast. I sat down and sighed.

"Honestly, everything has been hell lately, I'm in between".

"Don't worry, it's gonna be the greatest night of your life," she winked.

"Are you bringing anyone?".

"Actually yes, I'm bringing Charlie".

"Oh Charlie, good choice. He's really attractive, especially he's muscles. No too buff, not too boney".

"I know! He's the sweetest. Well enjoy....what is left of your breakfast. I'll go and tell the guys where to set everything," she smiled and walked out. Well, let's hope tonight turns out good tonight. __________________________________________

"Dammit!," I yelled as I removed the eyeshadow. Why is it so hard to make it pretty?!

"What's going on here?," asked Crystal as she walked in.

"I don't know how to put this on nicely".

"Here, I'll do it for you". She grabbed the brush and started applying the eyeshadow. "Where's Janice? Isn't she really good with this stuff?". Janice. I miss her.

"We're not friends anymore".

"What?! Why?".

"She tried to convince me that Andy was lying to me".

"About?".

"Everything. Apparently, he was just pretending to like me just to have sex with me, then dump me".

"What if she was telling the truth?".

"Then I'm a terrible friend".

"She's never lied to you. She's actually more of a sister to you than I am," she chuckled," I think you two should work things out, because a friendship like yours will never happen again. Trust me".

"How do you know?".

"When I was younger, I had a really good friend named Sasha. We did everything together, told everything to each other, just like you and Janice. Then one day we meet this guy".

"I see where this is going".

"Yeah, he chose me over her. She didn't mind it but I wasn't there for her as much as I use to be. Then she decided if I wasn't gonna even bother to talk to her then why even bother being friends. I really do miss her sometimes and I haven't found anyone like her. That's why you need to fix what happened between you two, because what are the chances you're ever gonna find another Janice?".

"Very low".

"Exactly! All done! What do you think?". I looked at myself in the mirror.

"It's good. Janice would've done a better job," I smirked.

"You bitch!," she punched my arm," shit!".

"What?".

"We never went dress shopping!". I sighed loudly and rested my head on my table.

"Not need to worry about that," I heard someone say. I looked over at the door and saw my dad.

"Dad! You're back". I ran over to him and hugged him.

"I brought you something," he handed me a box," open it". I set on my bed and ripped it open.

"Oh. My. Gosh," said Crystal as her mouth hung open. It was the most beautiful black and red dress I've ever seen.

"It's beautiful," I said above a whisper.

"I knew you'd like it. I had it flown in from Paris".

"That explain it".

"Happy birthday, sweetie". I hugged him really tight and ran inside the bathroom. I'm officially excited again! _______________________________________

I'm actually surprised so many people arrived. Almost half the school is in here. I looked around in hopes to see either Janice or Andy. No sign of them. I doubt Janice will come. I shouldn't have said the things I said. What if she was telling the truth? What if this is all a game? Maybe that's what that guy tried to tell me! Okay, right now is no time to panic Aphrodite! Andy loves me. Who would waste months with someone just to sleep with them? I know I wouldn't. I sighed and walked over to the front door.

"Hey Aph, awesome party," said Cindy, a girl in my P.E. class.

"Thank you! Have you counted the flyers so far?".

"Yes and looks like Andy's in the lead". Dammit!

"Okay, thank you!".

"There's my adult bitch!," yelled Mikey as he walked in, hand in hand with Jayy.

"Hey guys, you made it!". I hugged them both.

"Why would I miss you party? You're my best friend!".

"And let me just say, you look fuckin' hot in that dress!," said Jayy as he made me twirl.

"Thanks," I blushed," how the music going?".

"It's going great! You should meet my friend and band member, Dahvie. I should him a few pictures of you and he's really into you!". I rolled my eyes and laughed.

"I have a boyfriend!".

"I'm just trying to use him as a distraction so I can have some free time with Andy".

"Ugh, I'm right here," said Mikey as he waved his hands in front of Jayy's face.

"Don't worry, we can have a threesome". Mikey smiled and nodded in approval.

"And if you do, let me watch," I said as I lightly pushed Jayy.

"Well, we're gonna go get some drinks," Mikey smiled and dragged Jayy along. They are such a cute couple! It's so nice to see their relationship still going strong. As I looked around, everyone was dancing and having fun. There was still no sign of Andy. Where can be? What if he's with Scout?! She did have an invitation. I need to warn Cindy just in case she gets here. Just then the music stops and the lights to out. What's going on? I heard people starting to mumble to each other. Then a single light pointed towards the D.J. booth. I made my way to the stage but was stopped my Gerard and Frank.

"Oh, hey guys!".

"Hey, come with us," Frank said as they both dragged me.

"Where are you taking me?". They stood me right in the middle of the dance floor, in front of the stage. I looked behind me and gave confusing look toward Frank and Gerard. Gerard have me two thumbs up.

"Hello everyone," I heard Andy's voice. I quickly turned around to see Andy on stage with Jake. What is he doing? "I'm pretty sure all of you know, my name is Andy and today is a very special day. Today is Aphrodite's birthday," everyone clapped and cheered. I smiled and chuckled. "And as you all know, she is my girlfriend. Ever since we were in diapers we've been best friends, in till I became this self centered, selfish prick. Now that were together again, I never thought I would be able to be myself again, but when ever I'm with her I can truly be myself," everyone clapped again, followed by some 'awws'," I wrote her a song and as a loving, amazing, and unbelievable good looking boyfriend," he chuckled, making every laugh," I will be singing it to her today with the help of the amazingly talented Jake Pitts, who will be playing the guitar". I couldn't help but smiled widely. God, I wanna cry so bad right now! Everyone waited silently in till Jake started strumming the guitar.

I sing this song at funerals... no rush.
These lyrics heard a thousand times, just plush," Andy begin to sing. He knows how to sing?! I gasped and smiled uncontrollably. I looked around and saw half of the people shocked and other half surprised. I can't believe he knows how to sing! He's voice is so beautiful!

I love you more than I can ever scream". Tears started forming in my eyes as I stared into his, watching him sing on that stage.

"Wow, you are one lucky bitch," said Mikey as he watched Andy I awe.

"I just can't believe he knows how to sing and he wrote me a song!".

"He's a keeper! If I were you, I'd take him here and now," said Frank. I just giggled and pinched both of them. Janice was wrong. He loves me and wouldn't do anything to hurt me.

I'm home again," he finished singing. Everyone cheered, yelled, and whistled loudly. Gerard tapped my shoulder and pointed towards the front door. There stood a pissed off and shocked Scout. She looked at me and angrily walked out.

"Aphrodite, I love you and thank you for giving me this chance to have you in my life again". I ran up the stage and jumped on him, kissing him deeply and passionately.

"Why didn't you tell me you were gonna do this?".

"I told you I had a surprise for you".

"And when were you gonna tell me you know how to sing?!".

"It's something I've been practicing for years now. Did you like the song?".

"Absolutely loved it!". I kissed him again and he twirled me in the air. We got off the stage as the D.J. started playing the music again. We walked over to the group and they high fived and hugged Andy.

"Andy, can I ask you a question?," asked Crystal.

"Sure".

"Would you do me the honor in letting me have your child?". We laughed and schooled our heads.

"Fuckin' Crystal!," I laughed.

"Doesn't my sister look beautiful?".

"Very beautiful and this dress looks amazing on you," smiled Andy.

"Thanks!," I wrapped my arms around his waist.

"Well, let's dance our heads off!," yelled Frank. And that's exactly what we did. _________________________________________

"Dad! Why did you buy me these?,"whined Crystal as she hugged the boots he bought me. By this point, almost everyone was gone. I had so much fun! When the time came to cut the cake, my dad threw some on my face, which started a war between us.

"Because you have enough boots". She gasped.

"You can never have enough boots!".

"I can let you borrow them," I offered.

"Okay, fine, but if they go missing it wasn't me," she said as she took some of my things and took them upstairs. I giggled and made my way towards Mikey.

"Janice never came, why is that?," he asked. My smile faded as I remembered Janice. I can't tell him now! He'll for me to go talk to her. I think she needs her space for now.

"She....was grounded and her mom has her on a tight leash".

"What did she do this time?".

"Egged her moms new boyfriend's house".

"That sucks! Today was such a amazing day!".

"I know! What are you doing after this?".

"I'm super tired! Jayy and I are actually about to go home and get some sleep. He just went to the restroom".

"Aww, well then, see you in school". I hugged him tightly and we walked out.

"Goodnight sweetie, I'm going to work".

"Now! It's pass midnight!".

"I know, but remember this project is big! I need to put extra hours into it if I want it to come out perfect. Why do you think you came out so beautiful?". I thought about it for a second, them cringed.

"Dad! That's gross!".

"I knew you wouldn't like it,"'he laughed," see you in the morning".

"See ya".

"Hey baby," Andy whispered in ear and wrapped his arms around my waists from behind.

"Hey, you spending the night?".

"You know it".

"Aph! Aph! Aph! I'm going over to Charlie's place. So...you know," she smirked. I cringed again.

"I see where you get it from".

"Whatever, don't wait up for me," she ran out the door.

"She has a new boyfriend?,"asked Andy.

"I don't even think they're dating yet".

"Today was so much fun! Thank you for inviting me!," said Cindy.

"No problem!," I smiled.

"And as for the flyers, looks like you got lucky today she handed me the flyers," you won". Yes! I won!

"Thank you for doing this, counting the flyers".

"My pleasure, goodnight!".

"Goodnight," Andy and I said. I followed her to the door and locked it once she walked out.

"So, we have the house to ourselfs," smirked Andy. I rolled my eyes and made my way upstairs.

"How do you feel?".

"Older," I smiled as I removed my high heels and threw them in my closet.

"I know that feeling," he laughed.

"Can you help me unzip this dress? I have cake frosting all over me". He slowly unzipped it and sat on my bed, watching g me strip down. I threw my dress in my closet and sighed in relief.

"You managed to bet me, congratulations".

"I honestly that I was going to lose," I said as I laid down on my bed. Andy leaned over me, watching me carefully.

"So since you won, I have to do anything you want me to," he smiled.

"Anything?,"I raised my eyebrow.

"Anything". I thought about it for a second and it came to me. I finally found the perfect man I want to spend the rest of my life with. He wrote and sang me a song, he almost killed Ronnie for me, and he always stood by my side. Why not take that step in our relationship?

"So what do you have in mind?," he asked, playing with my hair. I thought about it again and nodded to myself. I'm ready.

"Make me yours".
