Far And Away.

The semi-large crowd that was filtering in to the center of the mall gave Flora pause-was this the right thing to be doing right now? She walked up to a security officer, flashed the access badge that Brayden had given her and only received a curt nod in return. As she walked down a long hallway, Flora tucked her hair behind her ears, her eyes on the lookout for the band she was supposed to be meeting. She knew who they were, and they would know her in an instant, but Flora wasn't happy about any of this.

Still, it was a job and it was something she would have to do in order to move up in the company and to get better gigs. A loud noise came out over the speakers-feedback from the sound guy checking everything-and that signaled to Flora that things were about to be set in to motion. As she walked up a small set of stairs to get to the side of the stage, Flora felt like her heart was going to explode.

This was a mistake-one huge mistake and just as Flora turned around to walk back to the backstage area, her nose bumped right in to someone's bare chest. It was a broad, but skinny chest and it was covered in black latex paint. Flora stood still, trying not to draw attention to herself, but she felt a pair of strong fingers reach out and steady her by her shoulders.


"Whoa there..." A deep and very familiar voice said out loud and Flora only closed her eyes. Shit...she had run right in to the very person she was trying to avoid.

"I-uh...sorry..." Flora said softly as she kept her head down-hoping she wouldn't be recognized.

"Wait...Flora? Flora is it really you?" That deep voice asked...the same one that haunted her dreams at night. Flora finally looked up and her eyes locked with a pair of crystal blue eyes.

Andy...

"Hey Andy...we gotta go man..." Jake was right beside him now and Flora only smirked as she watched Andy being pulled on to the stage. His eyes held a look that was similar to fear-almost as if he had seen a ghost.


The guys were all out on stage, playing a song she had never heard before, which meant it was off of their new album. Flora moved to the side of the stage to get a better view and noticed that the palm trees were ringed with white lights that looked like stars from a distance. Girls were screaming the guys names and Flora only watched as Jake and Jinxx banged their heads up and down while they played.

Andy was running around the stage, his arms held high in the air and Flora only shook her head-things never changed.

It was strange watching them play-she hadn't seen them for a year and even though they were all over youtube, Flora still avoided watching their videos. It was just hard seeing a group of guys who you had become close with, doing well and knowing that they had left you behind.

Flora crossed her arms over her chest as she listened to the words that Andy was singing.

Flora felt her nostrils flare and she knew that her face was held in a look of anger. How dare he right about their failed relationship? How dare Andrew Biersack take her pain and use it to make money and become successful? Flora was pissed and as Andy ran back towards her, that boyish grin on his lips, he took one look at her glare and ran back out on stage.

That's right you motherfucker...run back with your tail between your legs.

The song ended and Andy and the guys ran around as they began to go in to the next one. Flora watched as Andy ran up to the very front of the stage, standing on a small box that made his 6'2 frame seem even taller than he was naturally. He held out his arms, with made the girls in the front row lose their shit and Flora rolled her eyes so hard that it made her head ache.


"Yo! We are the Black Veil Brides and we come from this very city-Hollywood California!..." Andy screamed and Flora wanted to shout back at him that no you stupid fuck...you're from fucking Cinnci Ohio.

But she held back and just continued to glare.

"And we are going to play a song for you off of our first record. This is All Your Hate!" And with that another song got in to full swing.


Andy was running around during the entire song and Flora could kind of understand why. The stage the guys were playing on was very long, but not deep at all and they kept bumping in to one another. Flora watched as Andy kept moving, trying to find a place to stand and perform, but an irritated look came over his face. Finally it seemed like Andy noticed the giant step like pillars off to his left and Flora watched as the singer began to climb towards them.

Andy stood on the top most pillar, screaming his lungs out as he bounced his head and his massive black hair back and forth. Flora held her breath as she watched Andy try to get off the pillar, slipping slighting and then he seemed to pause to reevaluate the situation. Those pillars were marble by the looks of them and Andy was wearing cowboy boots...probably with very little traction. He sat down, his long legs swinging over the edge of the pillar and just as Jake went in to a solo, Flora saw Andy make his move.

Andy flung his body towards a small wall, separating a ramp from the stage area, and Flora screamed out as Andy missed the wall entirely, except for his right side, which caught the edge roughly before he fell and disappeared from sight. What the fuck just happened? Flora stood there, not knowing what to do and it seemed like no one else did either.

The guys kept playing, probably to try and keep the fans under control, but Flora felt her feet hit the floor hard as she ran back stage, around the very back of CC's drum kit and then turned the corner to find Andy, splayed out on the floor and surrounded by a large group of people. Her heart was beating so fast and Flora could barely breathe as she watched Andy lay there, his hands clutching his side. How badly was he hurt?

No one seemed to know, but Flora had never seen Andy in this much pain in his entire life.


"Should we call an ambulance?" Someone asked and Flora watched as Andy was slowly lifted to a sitting position and he seemed to be looking around for someone. Finally he caught site of her and his blue eyes, with a look of determination in them, focused on her.

"I'm fine..." He growled as he stood up, pulling at his vest to try and get everything sorted out.

"Sir I really think..." A security guard was saying, but Andy just continued to stare Flora down.

"I said I'm fucking fine. I need to get back on stage..." Andy said and then a flurry of activity swirled around the group as a few people were trying to get Andy back to the stage to finish the show.


Flora watched him go and even though Andy still had that grimace of pain on his face, there was another look behind those blue eyes of his and it seemed to be a look reserved for Flora and Flora alone.

It was a look Flora had never seen before and as she took her place on the side of the stage and watched the guys finish their set, she wondered if this was the right job for her.

Andy hated her, for whatever reason, but that was okay because Flora hated him right back.
