Fallen Angels

As I sat in my lake, I continued getting reports of everyone waking up. I knew they couldn’t heal though unless Carla came up with an antidote. So I swam and waited for the news. Eventually, as night fell, Mike descended from the sky and gave me the news I had been waiting for.

“We have made an antidote. We have treated everyone, now we just hope the ones who had it the worst heal. So far it’s worked on me but I only had minor injuries.” Mike informed me.
“Thank you. Please send anyone who is feeling up to it out to me.” I told him. He nodded and flew off.

At some point I must have dozed off because I was being lightly shaken by Ashley. He was with Jesse and they were both bandaged up but didn’t look like death, which was a good sign.

“Mike said you wanted to see us?” Jesse asked.
“Yes. How are you feeling? I assume Jack and Alex told everyone what I plan to do?” I said, getting right to the point.
“They did. Just give us a few more hours and I’m sure we will be back in fighting condition.” Ashley said, head held high.

I got out of my lake and wrapped a towel around myself. I walked up to the two and put my hands on both of their shoulders.

“I want to thank you for all that you have done. None of your effort will go unnoticed in the end.” I told them. The both game me small smiles. I was just about to let go when I felt a burst of power go through me and flow into Jesse and Ashley. I could tell they were just as shocked as I was. For a second I was worried I had hurt them but that fear was turned to joy when Jesse yelled out.

“Well would you look at that? Seems like Andy has been holding out on us.”
“Forget a few hours, we could fight right now if need be.” Ashley said, looking at me in shock.
“It would seem more of my powers are awakening. I hope I can control them though.” I said. “Please send someone else this way.” The two nodded and flew off.

The next to show up were Ellie and Jake. They were walking due to Jake’s wing. It was painful just to look out and I could tell he was in sever pain. Our wings were our life force and he had half of his just sheared away. I was honestly surprised he was conscious.

“Andy.” Ellie said, helping Jake sit down on a stump. I didn’t even bother saying anything, I just walked up to Jake and put both my hands on his shoulder. I closed my eyes and concentrated really hard. I felt the power slowly seep out of me and into Jake. Ellie let out a gasp but I didn’t dare open my eyes. I continued to concentrate until I felt like I was done. When I opened my eyes I was met with both of Jakes wings. He stood up and flapped them, testing if it was real. I had somehow managed to heal his wing.

“Thank you!” He said in tears as he hugged me.
“No thank you for following me.” I told him.
“We will send more.” Ellie said as Jake picked her up, causing her to laugh.

Everyone came to be healed. With the poison out of their system, it was a walk in the park. Most of them had semi healed already and I just sped it up and got rid of their fatigue. The last to visit was Orion. She came alone and looked defeated.

“Vic still hasn’t woken. I fear that I have done permanent damage.” She told me.
“Let’s go. I’ll see what I can do.” I told her.

We took to the sky. When we arrived at her house I relieved the guard and we walked in. I went straight to the bedroom and sat down next to Vic. I wasted no time and put my hands on both shoulders. I closed my eyes and I could feel the power start flowing from me. However I was blocked as I tried to reach him. It was like a barrier was put up.

“Orion, I need you to go through the link and tell him to put his barrier down.” I instructed. She looked at me like I was crazy.
“I have tried to go through the link. I always hit the same wall.” She said.
“Well you have to break through it. It’s the only way I can heal him. He’s put up a wall so he won’t be attacked. He has to know he’s safe and put it down so I can get in.” I explained. It was our only hope of waking him up. She let out a breath and nodded.

She sat down next to him and closed her eyes. I felt the power in the room change. I was worried Vic was going to do something in his unconscious state. However Orion grabbed my arm, “Do it, hurry while I’m still in.”

I wasted no time in grabbing Vic and slamming my power into him before he closed us out again. This time there was no resistance and my power flowed into him. I heard a choking noise and quickly stopped the flow of power and looked down. Vic was awake. He looked around, taking in his surroundings.

“What happened?” He questioned, trying to sit up but being pushed down by Orion who smothered him in kisses.
“I’ll let you explain.” I told her as I got up to leave. “However you only have an hour. We are meeting at the tower then.” And with that I left.


I had a hell break to plan.

Holy shizz guys I was gone for 5ever. For that I apologize. I've been busy with work and school and just haven't had much motivation to write on this one really. I've been in a huge ATL mood and that's what I've been writing. However I hope to finish this one off. I don't plan on letting a story go unfinished. I just don't want to write when I'm unmotivated and it come out bad.

So hopefully I will be back to updating semi-regularly.
