Fallen Angels

Sister's Reconnect

Orion and Seripha had been tending to the wounded the best they could. Neither were medics. Slowly some of the wounded started to come around. It had been over 24 hours when Carla opened her eyes. She was the first to wake up and she was in tremendous pain. She couldn’t even cry out due to her crushed ribs. Lucky for her Seripha had been there when she had awakened.

Carla motioned for a pen and paper and wrote down a few things she needed. Seripha flew off to collect them. When she returned, Carla instructed her how to mix the herbs. Once she was satisfied, she took the herbs, now turned drink, and drank it. She nearly choked but after seconds recovered, sitting up and letting out a long breath.

“I’m not fully healed but at least I can now breath and move.” Carla said. “Thank you.”
“Don’t thank me just yet. We need you. You are the first of the injured to wake up and everyone is pretty much in critical condition.” Seripha stated.

Carla looked next to her to see her soulmate, wrapped in bandages and burned badly. She gasped and immediately placed her hands on either side of his face and whispered something. To Seripha it seemed like nothing had been done but CC let out a sigh and his face relaxed.

“Who else is here?” Carla questioned, struggling to get out of the bed. Seripha helped her up and supported most of her weight as they walked out of the room.
“Mike. He isn’t too bad but he was cut up. Maya isn’t letting him do anything because he needs to heal. What I don’t understand is normally minor things like this would have healed for and angel already.”Carla nodded, understanding what she was being told. They walked into the living room. Mike was pacing around, unable to sit still. Carla walked up to him and motioned for him to sit down. He complied. She grabbed his arm where the cuts were the deepest and inspected them. She closed her eyes and the room buzzed with power for a quick second and then everything went still.

Carla opened her eyes. “It would seem their weapons were treated with something that prevents angels from healing. I will have to try and make something that counters it.” She said as she nearly fainted.
“Okay lets get you to your house so you can rest and figure out what needs to be done.” Seripha said as she took Carla’s arm. She knew Carla was weak from the fight but they were at war and there was no time to waste.
“I’ll take her. Sitting around is driving me crazy. At least this way I can help.” Mike said, standing up and helping Carla by supporting her weight.
“Very well. I will continue my rounds. If she figures anything out, send word.” Mike nodded and Seripha took off.

Across the secondary, Ellie and Maya were doing the best they could keeping everything under control. Maya had put all the willing humans on guard duty and ordered the rest to stay in the bunker. The humans guarding weren't allowed to leave the boundary though and the angels that did leave were instructed to go in groups and not go further than a mile out.

It had been over 24 hours since the battle had taken place and there had been no signs of a counter attack. Both the girls hoped that it was for the best. At the moment Ellie was asleep while Maya kept the place running.

She was sitting at the desk getting a report from one of the guards when Orion knocked.“Thank you, you may rest.” Maya instructed the guard who bowed and left as Orion came in.“It would seem Carla is awake. She is still in pretty bad shape but she is working on spells and potions to help the others. According to Seripha, the enemy had something on their weapons that prevents angels from healing and that is why Mike was still pretty cut up. He is with Carla helping out now.” Orion stated.

“Thank you. You haven’t slept at all have you?” Maya questioned, knowing the answer.
“I.. I can’t. Not after what happened. If he never wakes up it will all be on me. I tried to save him but instead all I did was make matters worse. It seems like since I came here I only make matters worse.” She said as she slumped into a chair, her shoulders sagging.“She doesn’t hate you and neither does Vic.” Maya said, trying to stay out of Orion’s thoughts but failing because they were being projected so loudly.
Orion sighed. “I know Vic doesn’t but as for Ellie…” She trailed off.
“Trust me she doesn’t hate you.”
“How can you be so sure?”
“Because she can read minds, remember?” Ellie asked from the doorway.

Orion turned to face Ellie in a state of shock. No one said anything and Maya quietly took her leave. She hadn’t slept yet and she was mentally and physically exhausted.

“I don’t hate you Ri.” Ellie said, using the nickname she had given her centuries prior. “I did harbor malice towards you for decades but that eventually faded and was replaced by confusion and hurt. We were so close and then you just left me, without a second glance. I was alone and you were gone. I saw glimpses of what you became and it scared me. I saw things I didn’t want to see and even went to Eve, begging her to take away my visions but she refused. I had to sit and watch as you grew closer to the one who tore us apart. Then when I fell from Heaven, I saw you coming after me. I couldn’t see past that. I ran and next thing I know, I am here and so are you. Ri, I am so scared of getting you back just to have you leave again.” Ellie told her as tears rolled down her cheeks.

“El, I am so sorry I left. I just wanted freedom. I knew it wouldn’t be fair to ask you to come. You were so content and carefree. I knew if I told you I would have changed my mind. That is why the day I fell, I didn’t look back. I didn’t want to see the pain I was causing and change my mind. I regret not telling you about my decision but I don’t regret what I did. If I hadn’t have done it then I might have lost you to Lucifer forever.”

“I don’t hate you.” Was all Ellie replied. A single tear rolled down Orions cheek. She had been waiting too long to hear those words come from Ellie.

*Unknown POV*

“I need you to find me. It is our only hope. If you don’t find me soon all will be lost. Lucifer will win and everyone will die.” the girl in the light said.
“But how? I don’t know where to start.” The boy answered

A laugh echoed throughout the darkness. “I will tell you where to find her. She is in the deepest pit of Hell. I welcome you with open arms my son, come and get her.” Lucifer laughed.

That was the last thing the boy heard as everything went completely black and the floor fell beneath him.

Notes

So I don't know how I feel about this. I haven't had any motivation to write so I am sorry if this sucks.

Question, anyone figure out who is in the unknown pov?
