“Maya.” I said catching her as she fell. “Well damn. I had more questions.”
Alese punched my arm, “Andrew Dennis Biersack! The poor girl is exhausted and clearly hurt; get her takin care of right now.” She said with a stern glare.
“Yes ma’ma.” I mumbled taking to the air to try and find whose house was the infirmary. Turns out it was Mikes. I landed and dropped her off with Carla and Ashley.

“How’s Vic?” I asked Carla.
“He’s awake and stable, but exhausted and drained. He needs to rest for a few days.” I nodded and headed to my house to be met by Jinxx.

“Perimeter is still stable and has no breach.”
I nodded, “Good. I have a mission for you Jinxx. I want you to take a few guards and build something.” He nodded, listening. “We need an infirmary. It needs to be quite big and very sanitary. This war is coming and there will be causalities. Plus humans know about this place so we could have new arrivals at anytime.” He saluted me and took to the air.

I headed inside where Alese was already talking to Vic.
“I hope you know that what you did was stupid and could have cost your life.” She scolded, causing him to look away ashamed. “But it was worth it because you saved a life and not just any life, that of your soul mate.” She smiled at him and he returned it, beaming and grabbing Orion’s hand.

“However, she must be watched. I do not trust her and that is with good reason.” I said entering the room.
“Of course. The safety of our people is number one priority.” Vic said, giving Orion a sad look.
“I understand. But just know that I am not going to betray you. I have already lost my sister trust and I want to earn it back.” Orion said looking determined.

I looked to Vic who just nodded. That was my way of asking if she really meant what she said.

“Okay then, Vic can you walk?” I asked.
He shook his head. “I am still too weak. I lost a lot of energy and it’s not coming back fast.” Orion looked away, ashamed.

“That’s fine. Orion can you walk?” she nodded. “Okay then Vic you might now like this but I’ll carry you. It’s just back to your house so you can rest and get better.” He looked pained, but agreed. I picked him up and headed to his house. I had a thought on the way there but kept it to myself until after we got Vic to his house.

“Okay I am going to have someone out here at all times, if you need anything just let them know.” Vic nodded, dozing off already.
“For what it’s worth, I’ll take good care of him.” Orion said giving her soul mate a worried glance. I just nodded and left. I waited outside until Alese came back with a guard.

“So he is watching for about 4 hours, then he will switch with someone else. I think they are alternating between angel and human to guard him.” I nodded and thanked the guard. Then Alese and I took to the air.

I headed to the pound behind our house. She was confused but followed. “Do you know where Mike went?” I asked as we were landing.
She shook her head, “As soon as I showed up he left.”

I just nodded and let out a whistle. We only had to wait a second before Gimli showed up. As soon as Alese saw him she let out a squeal of delight and ran up and hugged him around the neck.

“I am so sorry my pretty boy! I didn’t forget you I promise! I missed you!” she went on and on kissing him and stroking him. I laughed seeing the pure joy in her face. I walked to the tree she stored things in and grabbed Gimli’s bridle. I walked back and handed it to her. She quickly took it and put it on with hands that had done it a million times. She gave me a huge kiss and mounted up all in one motion.

She got comfortable and reached a hand out to help me. I hesitated.
“Come on baby I miss riding and want you to come.” She pleaded.
“I would and all but..”
“But what?”
“Well there is no saddle and I kind of have nuts to watch out for.”
She laughed and it made my heart swell up with love. “Get up here numb nuts. You’re starting to sound like Jalex.”

With that last statement I grabbed her hand and mounted up. She smiled at me and we took off. We forgot the world and all the troubles, even if it was only for an hour.

“So who has been taking care of him?” She asked me.
“Well your grandpa has been doing it. He says he misses the old days and that it helps him relax.” She nodded, understanding what he meant.

“Oh! One other thing before I forget. Tomorrow Carla, Jesse, and Jalex need you to meet up with them at Ashley and Jesse’s place in the morning.” I told her.
“What for?” she asked confused.
“Well the wedding preparations of course.”
“OH MY! I had completely forgotten that with everything going on. Is this really the best time baby? I don’t want to waste time.”

“It’s not wasting time. Everyone needs a distraction right now and we need to get back on our feet. In just a few days we will be married and on our way to destroy Lucifer and saw the world.”

So a wedding is going to happen! *Bust out into musical number* "A wedding, a wedding, were going to have a wedding."

Okay I admit I may have been watching Corpse Bride lately, but I can't help it! I love that movie! <3

Any way.. I think from now on I am just going to use song titles for the chapter name because I am lazy and have trouble coming up with names at times.
