Fallen Angels

We were in shock. This angel was Vic’s soul mate? We couldn’t be sure until he woke up and I didn’t want to take any chances.

“Alese, please go find Carla. Mike stay here with me and watch over her. I don’t trust her.” Alese nodded and gave me a quick kiss on the cheek and took off.

“So your Andy and Alese? Well it’s nice to meet you in person.” Orion said. “Lucifer has gone through quite great links to make her. He wants Heaven to fall and Hell to reign. He is building an army you know? He has humans, demons, and is making an army of Fallen. He plans to march soon.” She said it like it was no big deal, like people weren’t dying and cities weren’t in ruins.

“How can we even trust you? For all we know you were sent here to get intel and possibly kill us.” Mike spat at her.

“Calm down there pussy cat.” She said examining her nails, “We are soon to be related, or have you forgotten that your brother is my soul mate? When he wakes up he can tell you.”
“But you haven’t bonded.” I said, “So you could still be planning to kill us and kidnap Ellie.”
“No, you’re right, we didn’t bond but when he was in my mind he did something. I have no idea what he did but it sparked the bond and that’s when he knew. That’s why he fed me his energy. He didn’t want me to die, he risked his life to save mine.” She said matter of fact.

Mike looked like he wanted to hit her or worse, kill her. Luckily Alese chose to arrive with Carla before he got the chance. Before I could even say a word, she was by Vic’s side and murmuring something and rubbing some sweet smelling herbs on his face.

“Can we get him on the bed and lying down please?” she asked.
Mike and I grabbed him and Orion moved over to make room. We laid him down and she went right back to chanting.

“Baby,” Alese whispered, “There is something we need to tend to.”
“What?”
“CC said it was urgent.”

I looked to Mike. He just nodded to tell us he had it under control. That was all I need. Alese and I took to the sky to find CC. We found him at the training arena, covered in blood.

“Thank the Heavens you guys made it. Suit up we have company.” He said, grabbing more weapons.

I grabbed my swords and Alese grabbed hers. We put the scabbards on and took off after CC. We were headed to the area where Orion was found. We flew about a mile away from the barrier and that’s when I heard the sound of battle.

We dropped down and I saw just what we were faced with, Hellhounds. They were massive beasts about the size of a cow. Their flesh was rotting and in some places had fallen away and you could see their bones. They were engulfed in fire that burned you if you got to close. They had rows of teeth like a great white, which injected poison that burned you from the inside out if you were bit.

I saw some of my guards fighting them off, but what shocked me was there was a group of humans fighting them to. They didn’t belong in our camp because I had never seen them before. Many were fighting with guns and a few were fighting with the weapons CC had just brought.

I didn’t have much time to dwell before a beast lunged at me and I cut clean through him with my sword. I unsheathed the second one and went to work. It was like the swords were just extensions of my arm, where one failed the other made up for the mistake.

Out of the corner of my eye I watched Alese take on the beasts. She was so nimble and agile. She would slash, dodge, slash, twirl, then slice and move on to the next one. I had lost track of how many beasts I had slain, but it seemed like they were never ending. For every one I would slay, three more would appear.

Then I heard a scream. It was a female. I looked around and saw a girl with purple hair running from a beast. Her gun must have jammed because she was shaking it and hitting it. I took to the air and went after her. Alese had heard the scream to and was on the same path I was. The beast lunged for the girl and pinned her down, ready to bite her. Alese and I stuck at the same time; she stuck her sword straight through his head, while I cut him in half. The remains didn’t even hit the ground; they turned to ash and blew away in the wind.

Alese helped the stranger up while I watched their back. It finally seemed like we were cutting their numbers down. There were only a few left and we were cutting them down. I watched as Jesse shot in arrow right between the final beast’s eyes as he went to attack CC. He gave her a grateful smile.

We got the small group of humans into the barrier, and then assessed the situation. There were about fifteen humans and only three or four were hurt. I told CC, Jesse, and Ashley to get them to a house and see if Carla was done so she could help Ashley heal them. I sent Jinxx to check the perimeter again and make sure we were in good condition.

I looked to the new group, “Who is in charge?” the girl with purple hair that Alese and I rescued stepped forward, “I am.”

“Jack, Alex, get the others settled in. Direct them to the baths and food and see if there are extra clothes.” They nodded and set off, “You.” I directed to the purple haired girl. “Stay here for a minute please?” she nodded and told the others to go on.

“I am Maya.” She said extending her hand.
“Andy, and this is Alese.” I said putting my arm around her shoulders.
“I know who you are. We all know. We have traveled far to make it her. We lost a great number. We were about two hundred but as you can see only fifteen of us make it.” She said with a tear running down her face.

“Where did you come from?” I asked.
“We came from all over. We picked up many on the way. However I believe it started somewhere in Texas. We lost our original leader and I stepped up. We had heard of this place and believed it to be a safe place.” She looked to us with pleading eyes, silently begging us to tell her it was true.

“This is as safe as it gets. We have magical spells that keep demons out. You and the survivors are welcome here.”

She smiled, relived. Then she fainted.

So another update in like 24 hours! I am good! haha!

This new character is courtesy of a girl I co-author a PTV fic with (if you want to check it out the link is in my description thingy, just click on my name and you can see all the ones I'm writing). She told me to surprise her with whether she was human or angel, so I hope I surprised her ^.^ . However you guys get to try and guess who the soul mate is!

So the war is picking up. Things are going to get interesting!!
