Fallen Angels

We made sure Ellie was comfortable, and then CC, Alese and I headed to my house. I knew Ellie would be weak and I knew that Jake would want some time with her.

“So what happened?” CC asked. I told him about what I found at the boundaries and how Jinxx put her to sleep. He just nodded and we landed at my house.

Jack, Alex, Jinxx, and Mike were waiting outside.

“Jake’s soul mate woke up. Her name is Ellie and she can see into the future.” CC informed them.

Jinxx looked distraught. “What’s wrong Jinxx?” Alese asked, concern etched into her voice.
“The spell I put on her.” He said motioning to the angel in the house, “I think something went wrong. Vic ordered us out. I told you I can’t do those kinds of spells. I just tried to recreate what I had seen Ashley and Vic do and I did it wrong.” CC wrapped his arm around his friends shoulder and told him, “Bro its okay, from what I heard you saved Jack and Alex’s life.” They nodded and gave him a smile.

“Jinxx you did what needed to be done. That’s all anyone can ask of you. You did good. How about you go help Jesse and Ashley with patrol and check on the barrier?” I suggested to try and keep his mind off of things. Jinxx nodded and took to the air, grateful to be away from the girl.

“It’s not going to good in there. Vic isn’t too sure he can wake her up. He already tired from healing Ellie and being in Jesse’s mind.” Mike told us. I nodded and headed in ready for the worst.

I walked into Alese and I’s shared room and saw Vic hovering over the red head and humming something. He looked up when we entered and I could feel the energy in the room.

“I have never encountered anyone quite like this before.” He told us, puzzled.

“According to the other new girl, Ellie, she can manipulate energy and uses it to live.” Alese informed him. He ran his hand through his long brown hair and looked at the red head, who still had Alex’s shirt over her face.

“I have an idea, but I need you guys to not be in this room. It’s risky and I don’t want anyone to get hurt or something to backfire.” We nodded and headed to the living room to wait. CC was waiting but Mike was nowhere in sight. “Where’s Mike?” I asked CC who just shrugged. “I turned around and he was just gone.”

We sat in silence for a few minutes until I turned to CC, “Will you go check on everything and bring me back a report?” I asked. He nodded relived to be doing something other than waiting. About twenty minutes later he came back, “So Jesse and Ashley have the perimeter secured and the guards that were injured are being watched over by Carla. I don’t think you want to know what either Jake and Ellie, nor Jack and Alex were doing. Jinxx is still making sure the boundary is safe and I still can’t find Mike.” I nodded taking it all in.

“Thank you CC. I have another task for you. Will you check on the humans and make sure that they are okay and they have everything they need? I’m sure when Carla and Jinxx are done they will help you.”

He took flight and headed in the direction of the house, leaving Alese and I alone once again. I sighed and wrapped my arm around her shoulder bringing her closer to me. She rested her head on my shoulder and I kissed the top of her head.

“I love you.” I murmured into her hair.
“And I you.” She replied snuggling as close as she could to me. “It will be all right. Once this blows over we can have our wedding and focus on winning the war.”

I smiled at her. She was so perfect. We sat in silence for a while until our bedroom door opened and Mike stepped out. Wait, how had Mike ended up in there? He wasn’t in there when we left. I gave Alese a confused glance and she returned it, neither of us knew. As I was about to ask him how he ended up in there he motioned for us to enter.

We walked in and saw Vic slumped over in a chair next to the bed, and a very awake and alert red head. I remembered what I had been told about not looking in her eyes, but they had a draw to them. I soon found myself looking into her red eyes. I was startled when Alese shook me.

“What’s wrong with Vic?” she asked.

“He fed her his energy, which he didn’t have much of left. If I hadn’t of been here then he could have died. She was weak and just kept taking it not realizing he was dwindling. I stepped in and started feeding her my energy and he passed out. As soon as she opened her eyes and came and got you guys. I don’t think she’s too dangerous Vic placed some spells on her before he started so it should be fine to look at her and ask questions.”

“Who the hell are you?” was the first words out of my mouth.

“I am Orion. As I’m sure you know. I’m also pretty sure my sister told you what I can do.”
“Wait, sister?” Alese asked.

“Yes, Ellie is my sister. We were made at the same time and were inseparable for many centuries, however when Lucifer tried to wage war on Adam, I was on Lucifer’s side. I was one of the many original Fallen. For this reason she no longer claims me. I do want you to know though that I was not for him raping her, I only wanted freedom so for this reason I was cast down. I choose to stay close to Lucifer’s side so I would be safe. In return I got to keep my angel-ness, well what was left of it, and I ran errands for him. Then when all the angels started falling, he gave me a mission, ‘Hunt down the seer’. I knew who he was talking about, my sister it was the only person it could have been. I didn’t want him to have her, but I agreed, knowing that I would have to get her somewhere safe. As they fell, I searched for her but could not find her. I started to panic and I went searching. Then I saw her blood and followed the trail. Many nights I searched, until I stumbled upon this place. I knew it must be the rebel camp that was opposing Lucifer. I should have known she would be here. As I tried to enter, the guards attacked me. I tried to tell them I meant no harm, but it was too late, the attacked first so I defended myself. Next thing I know I am here. I woke up feeling energized but like something was wrong. Turns out this guys is my soul mate.” She said motioning to the limp Vic.

Well its been two weeks guys. I missed you! I missed writing. Its been hectic let me tell you. I finished my 5th quarter at school and got to go home (yay!) then I get back just to have to turn around the next day and go 3 hours to another city because mi friend got in a wreck and broke her back, hip, and rib. Spent the weekend there and came back to start the first week of school. Like I said, its been crazy.

But now I am caught up on mi writing and I hope to stay that way and update every few days!
