I held her chin and gently forced her head up. “Kiara, I’m in love with you. I didn’t know that love at first sight existed until I met you. I need you in my life, and I hope to god you feel the same way, because if not, I just made a complete fool out of myself in front of you and your mom” Kiara smiled.

“Oh Andy, I… I do feel the same. I ran because I was afraid of my feelings, I’ve never felt like this before. I didn’t know what love was until I saw you and actually got to be around you” she expressed.

I took a step towards her in one swift movement and took her into my arms. “This… this is the greatest feeling in the world to me” I whispered in her ear. I felt her smile against my chest.

“Trust me when I say that the feeling is mutual” she held me tight.

“Kiara,” I pulled away. “Would you…” I hesitated. “Would you be mine? Please?” I smiled at her.

“Yes!” she squealed without hesitation. I held her face in my hands in that moment and kissed her softly on the lips.

“Congratulations Kiara” her mom spoke up. “I’m so happy for the both of you” she smiled at us.

“Thanks” we said simultaneously. We paused for a second, looked at each other, and then laughed.

Kiara’s mom walked up to me and held out her hand. “Pamela; I’m happy to welcome you to the family,
Andy” I shook her hand.

“Pleasure is mine, Pamela. I haven’t been this happy in years” I turned to Kiara, smiled at her, and kissed her on the forehead.

“If its okay, I’d like to take Kiara out tonight” I asked Pamela.

“Of course, dear” she smiled.

“Thanks mom” Kiara spoke up.

“Thank you, Pamela” I replied.

“You’re both very welcome” she stated. “Now get out of here” Pamela smiled at us. With that being said, I grabbed Kiara’s hand and led her out of her house.

“I don’t have a car” she smiled at me.

“Good, then that means more time holding your hand” I squeezed her hand and grinned.
