I Need You
A Date and A Happy Ending
She smiled at me and I wondered if I’d ever get used to that sweet innocent smile of hers. Things started settling in and that’s when I realized I’d have to be going back on the tour soon. What would I do then? Would I ask her to go with me? Would she even agree? I shook it off as we walked into town.
“Know any good places to eat?” I asked her.
“Hmm, I mean… I live here so everything is plain to me” she was honest. “Why don’t we keep walking, and you stop when you see something good” she smiled.
I agreed to that, there should be a good diner somewhere in this town. While we walked, we had small conversations; mostly about what it was like for us growing up. I had my mom and dad, I was an only child; cliché childhood. Kiara, however, had a rough past. I accepted that, I wanted to heal her to the best of my ability.
“Yeah, my father died when I was six and it’s just been me and my mom ever since. I learned to accept that a long time ago. It was rough with just my mom because she got mad a lot” she explained.
I didn’t know what to say. I couldn’t tell her I understood, because I didn’t; so I just squeezed her hand and gave her a halfhearted smile.
We walked for about an hour when I suddenly stopped at a little café in the middle of the downtown area. This was a perfect place for us to eat. I opened the door, and held it open for Kiara. We walked inside, and took our seats at a booth. I sat across from her instead of beside her so I could keep looking into her eyes. I couldn’t get enough of her, and I hope that this feeling never ends.
The night went very smooth, in my opinion. We laughed, smiled and kissed here and there. That first date with Kiara, I would never forget; along with all the other moments that we’ve had. I hope we get to grow old together, and that our love stays this strong till we die. I will continue on the tour, and hope that Kiara follows; and if she doesn’t I will miss her everyday till I can get back to her. I love her with all that I am, and all that I will be. I love her more than I could ever scream.
