I Need You

Searching

I looked left, right, ahead of me and behind. I retraced my steps carefully, trying to remember where exactly I had bumped into her the second time. When I got to the exact spot, I thought really hard about what she was holding, and where she was coming from. I remembered she was holding a coffee when I ran into her. Although I had knocked it out of her hands. I looked at my surroundings, and I saw a little coffee shop just a few blocks away.

I ran to the little coffee shop, and walked inside. I headed to the front counter, maybe a little more frantic than I had hoped. The woman at the counter looked scared.

"Excuse me, ma'am. I just have a question. Do you know a girl named Kiara? She had a coffee from here, I think. Is she a regular, or..." I asked the lady.

She looked at me dazed. "Uh... uhm. Yeah. Kiara usually comes in once every day and orders the same thing. I guess you could say she's a regular" she stated. "What do you want with Kiara?" she continued.

"Well, I'm in love with her. I need her to know that. She was just at our show, and she seemed fine; but then she ran off. I'm not really sure yet of what i'm doing exactly. But I need to find her. I have to. Do you happen to have her address or a phone number? Something?" I asked.

"How do I know that you aren't some psycho serial killer?" she had the audacity to ask me.

I glared at her. "I sing in a band, I have no reason to kill anybody. Do you honestly think I would be that stupid?" I said a little too loud.

"I'm sorry. I shouldn't judge like that. What band do you sing in?" she asked. She was nosey.

"Black Veil Brides" I replied.

The girl stiffened up and gasped. Oh here we go. "My friend is like in love with you guys" she exclaimed. That's lovely to fucking hear, now give me Kiara's info!!

"Oh that's great. Here" I picked up a napkin and signed it. "Give this to her for me" I said.

She also picked up a napkin, wrote something on it and slid it to me. It read:
4600 Pinewood Avenue
Go find her you fool
.
I smiled at the woman behind the counter. "Thank you" I mouthed and ran out of the store. I picked up my phone and quickly searched for Google maps, typed in her address and depended on Google to get me to Kiara fast.

I crossed streets, went down alleys, ran into some creeps, leapt over a creek, and finally made it to Pinewood Avenue about a half hour later. The trick now, was trying to find her house. They all looked the same; it didn't help that the numbers on the houses were extremely small either. I spent ten minutes checking out peoples mailboxes trying to look for the house numbers.
