Almost Unbreakable

I pulled Daisy and I's last suitcase to the front of the room and sighed happily. I was excited to get back on the road, but I knew I was going to get tired of touring soon. I especially knew Daisy was, since she was feeling so sick lately.

"D, you almost ready?" I called into our bedroom, "The bus is almost here." I walked in the room to see she wasn't in there but the bathroom door was shut. I knocked on it softly and heard her cough. "Babe?"

"I'm not feeling well." She said, softly.

"Can I come in, Hun?" I asked.

"Yes." She said, and I walked in. She was on the floor by the toilet rubbing her head. I slid down next to her and she moved quickly and threw up in the toilet. I held her hair and rubbed her back. Once she was finished, I scooped her up in my arms and took her to the bedroom.

I laid down with her still cuddled against me. She started crying and I just sat there, stroking her hair and rocking her back and forth. "I-I'm not ready to be a mom."

"Shh." I whispered in her ear, "I know you can do it."

She shook her head and let out a sob. "I'm scared."

"We have a little while." I said, rubbing her back.

"But it's still coming! We're having a child." She exclaimed. I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket and knew the guys were here.

"It's going to be alright." I said, kissing between her eyes. "I'm going to love this baby with eveything I have and try to be the best damned father out there! And Daisy, your going to be a super mom! Everything you do is amazing and parenting isn't going to be any different." I pulled away only to press my hands to her stomach. I kissed and lightly rubbed it.

Suddenly, I felt pressure against my hand and Daisy gasped. "Oh my god." I said, feeling the same thump.

"It just kicked!" She shouted, and tears of joy streamed down my face.

"Our baby.." I whispered, "It's really in here." She nodded. biting her lip but I could still see the worry in her eyes. I kissed her belly one more time and then looked back up at her. "I believe in you." She smiled and took my hand.

"Thank you." She said, lightly kissing me. I heard pounding on the door and I jumped up to get it. It was John and Ashley.

"Dude, we've got to hit the fucking road!" John said.

"Sorry, my wife was throwing up." I laughed as Daisy came to the door with me.

"Talking shit about me?" She laughed.

"Course not." I winked kissing her temple. We picked up our bags, with help from Ashley and John and walked down to the bus.

Eventually we got all of our stuff on the bus and we ran upstairs to say goodbye to our cats. Ella and Sammi were taking care of them since they weren't touring with us this time around.

Daisy picked up Riot and kissed her head, while I kissed Crow. "We'll miss you." I said, putting him down.

"Be good." Daisy smiled. We stood up and linked hands.

"Ready?" I asked.

"Yep." She replied as I wrapped my arm around her shoulders and lead her out of the apartment.
