Almost Unbreakable

I watched as Daisy curled her hair in the bathroom. We were going out tonight with a few friends. Ashley, CC who was bringing a girl, my cousin Joe, and Danny.

Daisy looked over at me and jumped a bit. "Creeper." She said scanning me as I leaned up against the bathroom door frame. I chuckled and rolled my eyes.

It had been about a month since she did her first job with Peta2 and she'd blown up. She had finished her book and it was being edited. I can't tell you how many times we've gotten recognized on the street because of Daisy now. She's become a small celebrity.

"You about ready?" I said, taking in her tight black pants, tall heels, and breezy black lace tank top. She had curled her hair rather messily.

"Yeah, just hold on." She said, putting the curler down and picking her earrings up. She quickly put them in, along with her nose ring. "Done." She said lacing her fingers with mine. We walked out of the apartment, and down to my car. She slid in the passengers side as I got in the drivers side and turned the car on. I turned the radio on and backed out of the parking spot. We sped down the road, arriving in front of the small bar called PJ's in just about ten minutes.

"I'm excited to meet C's girl." I said, jumping out of the car. I wrapped my arm around her waist and she slid hers around my upper back.

"Me too." She said, leaning up to kiss me quickly. We walked inside, seeing everyone was already here sitting at the bar.

"Hey guys." I said as we walked up. They all muttered hello's and I noticed the beautiful blonde girl under CC's arm. Daisy and I sat on two stools by Danny.

"Lauren, this is Andy our lead singer and his girlfriend Daisy." CC said. Daisy and I smiled and waved.

"How did you two meet?" Daisy asked.

"At a bar actually." Lauren smiled.

"Awesome. Looks like Ashley's the only one left now." I winked making him roll his eyes.

"I like my single life." He chuckled. The bar tender walked over to us and I noticed his eyes immediately widen seeing Daisy.

"Uh h-hi can I get you two anything?" He stammered.

"Yeah can I get a Jack and Coke?" I asked, he nodded and looked at Daisy.

"Uhm I think I'll just have a Coors Light." She said.

"No problem. Also can I say I think your work with Peta2 is amazing, you write the best articles. I'm a dedicated vegan so it's cool to see others being so active." He said. Daisy smiled widely.

"Awh thank you so much! That's mean a lot." She said. He nodded and started making our drinks.

"Man, Daisy gets recognized before us now!" Ashley exclaimed. I laughed and put my hands on her shoulders.

"I see what you guys mean, it gets a little tiresome after a while." She chuckled.

"I didn't know you were writing for them too." Joe said.

"Yeah, I just started." She said.

"That's cool. I'm a carnivore." Danny said, grinning. Daisy rolled her eyes, smirking.

"So is Andy." She said.

"Hey! I'm not changing my ways Ms. activist!" I exclaimed. She giggled and leaned back into my chest.

"I'm not saying you have too." She said. The bar tender slid his our drinks. I thanked him and we started sipping on them.

"Let's get fucking crazy tonight!" CC said, raising his glass we all joined him and toasted to the fun we were about to have.
