Almost Unbreakable
I'm Home Again
Daisy, and I left the hospital hand in hand. I led her to my car, and helped her in the passengers side. I walked around and slid in my seat. I noticed Daisy's eyes plastered on my arm.
"When did you get this?" She asked, touching the tattoo of her name on my arm.
"Oh I got it a week before we went on tour. I was going to show it to you, but I got a little side tracked." I smiled at her. She leaned over and kissed my cheek.
"I love you." She said, resting her head on my shoulder.
"I love you too." I said, backing out of the parking space. We drove home listening to music, and laughing, trying to get over what had just happened.
Finally, we pulled into the parking lot. I turned the car off, and walked inside. I laced my hand with her, and smiled. We walked up the stairs, and in to our apartment. I noticed her duffle bag was outside of the door, and carried it inside. Daisy sighed, and laid down on the couch.
"Well that was fun." She chuckled. I looked over at her, and wedged myself between the couch and her.
"No it wasn't." I exhaled, holding on to her hip. "I thought I lost you."
"I did too." She buried her head in my chest.
"I'm serious about quitting your job, babe." I said.
"I know you are." She said.
"Are you going too?" I asked.
"I don't know.." She shook her head, "I would've gone to college for nothing."
"Not for nothing. Write a book." I said, scratching her back.
"A book?" She scoffed.
"Yes a book! Remeber when we first started dating? You used to write all of the time! Quit your job, and start writing again." I suggested.
"Andy.." She sighed, "That won't make any money-"
"Oh please, Daisy, I have enough money for the both of us already. And were going to start recording soon! I can take care of you." I pressed my nose to hers.
"What if you get tired of me?" She asked.
I laughed, "After everything that's happened, and I'm still not tired of you, I think were in this for the long haul."
She smiled, "I guess your right."
"So you'll quit, and tour with me?" I asked.
"Yes." She said, and I pressed my lips to hers.
"Thank god."
Is it bad that I cried? I can't believe that it's over. This was such an amazing story.
