Chapter 14- Dance With Me

*Prom day* (A/N Sorry about the time jump)

Andy and I had gone shopping last week. It was hilarious because I didn’t really want to buy a dress and Andy didn’t want to buy a suit but we’d decided that if I don’t have to wear heels and he could wear skinny jeans and boots.

I’m at my house getting ready. I hear a knock at the door and see Andy stand there wearing a white dress shirt, black skinny jeans and black boots.

“Let’s get ready for this shit.” Andy laughs holding his flat iron in the air.

We go up to the bathroom and start getting ready.

I flat iron my hair and Andy does the same. We both do our eye makeup and then smile at each other.

“Turn your head.” Andy smiles. “So we can match.”

He draws a stitch on the side of my face like he did the first time I saw his band.

“Now, let’s get going.” He smiles. “You look amazing by the way.”

“So do you Andy.”

We walk downstairs and get into my mom’s car since she insisted on driving us.

Andy and I arrive at school, every other girl there is wearing pink or some really bright colour and then there’s me wearing a black dress. Meh, I don’t care.

We enter the room that the prom is in and just awkwardly stand there.

“If you think that I’m going to be doing any dancing you’re wrong.” I say to Andy.

“Come on, we’ll just go sit down.”

“We don’t have to sit down, but I can’t really imagine either of us dancing.” I giggle.

“Come to think of it, neither can I.” Andy laughs.

“Well if it isn’t the emo couple.” Oh fuck no, she’s not ruining tonight for me.

“Just fuck off already, is it your life goal to make people miserable?” I say with venom in my voice. “Why don’t you just leave because you’re not ruining tonight for me.”

She punches me in the ribs and leaves with a smirk on her face.

“Imogen are you okay?” He panics.

“Don’t worry Andy, like I said she’s not going to ruin tonight us. Bruised ribs aren’t going to stop me.” I say to Andy.

“Okay but if they start to hurt you need to let me know. Now dance with me.” Andy takes my hands and smiles.

Generation Swine by Motley Crue starts playing.

“You love this song don’t you?” I smile at Andy.

He nods his head. “Stand on my feet and dance with me.”

“I don’t want to ruin your shoes.”

“Just do it.” He smirks.

I stand on his feet and we start ‘dancing’. I place my head on his shoulder and enjoy the best moment of my life.

“That night was awesome.” Andy and I say as we walk home.

We both laugh and then keep walking.

“Thanks for going to prom with me.” Andy smiles.

“Who else would I rather go with? You’re my best friend Andy.” We arrive at the front of our houses. “Who’s house?” I ask.

“My best friend’s house.” Andy smiles.

We walk into my house and then sit in my lounge room.

“What do we do now?” I ask.

“Movies?” Andy suggests.

“JACKASS MARATHON!!” I say really loudly.

We both laugh and then go downstairs to get food and then I go to my room to get all the movies.

“Are we going to watch 1.5, 2.5 and 3.5?” I ask Andy.

“Sure.” He smiles.

I grab all the movies and take them to the lounge room. I put Jackass The Movie on and sit next to Andy.

It’s halfway through Jackass 3.5 and I’m starting to get pretty tired.
