We'll Get Through This Together-Andy Biersack
Chapter 12- The Mortician's Daughter
Chapter 12- The Mortician's Daughter
Imogen’s point of view-
I’m being shaken away. Not again. I wince and sit up.
“What’s wrong? Did you have a bad dream again?” I ask looking at Andy. My eyes adjust and he’s got a huge smile on his face.
“Let’s go to the beach!” He grins.
“What’s the time?”
“3pm. Come on, please?” He pouts.
“Fine.” I sigh. “What do you want for breakfast?”
“Ice cream!” Andy beams.
“Someone’s in a good mood.” I laugh at Andy and we go downstairs to eat ice cream.
Once we’re finished Andy goes back to his house to get ready. I go upstairs and make my bed and then get out my clothes for the day.
After having a shower I get dressed (outfit http://25.media.tumblr.com/c4e1ba759b94078fb204129f6ae0ab1b/tumblr_mgk0brRGvY1rd668ko1_500.jpg) and then go put a towel and a change of clothes in case I go in the water but hopefully we can just make sand castles or something. I put my hair into a fishtail braid and put on a little eyeliner. I seriously hate the beach so much. There’s sand everywhere and usually there’s a lot of people there. I sigh and go downstairs and close the door behind me. I knock on Andy’s door and wait for him to answer it.
“You own shorts?” I ask looking at his knee length board shorts.
“Yes, but only one pair. Now let’s get going.” Andy laughs. “Bye mom, bye dad.”
We start walking to the beach, which I find out is only a 10 minute walk.
We get there and sit down on some dry sand.
“You do not understand how much sand pisses me off.” I say sitting down.
“You’ll live.” Andy laughs softly. “I wanna make a sand castle” He says like a little child.
“Then we shall make a sand castle.” I smile back.
We run down to water and before I know we’re both in the water.
“Why did you push me in? Now I’m cold.” I say looking at Andy who’s got an innocent look on his face. “And my clothes are all wet.”
“So are mine, they’ll dry.” Andy shrugs. “We’re already in here; we might as well stay in the water now.”
“Fine, but if I start getting really cold I’m leaving.” I say crossing my arms.
Andy laughs and starts going further into the water.
“Andy, I can’t keep up.” I whine as I try to keep up with Andy. It must be my top and my shorts. But they’re staying on even though I have bathers on underneath.
“Just take your top and your shorts off.” Andy shouts from where he is.
“Where am I meant to put them?” I shout back.
“Just bring them with you.” Andy replies.
I sigh and take them off. I swear to god I might hurt someone. I instantly catch up with Andy.
“So what are we going to do now that we’re all the way out here?” I ask standing next to him.
“Sit here and look at the sky.” Andy says sitting down in the water.
“You made me come all the way out here to sit in water and look at the sky?” I ask. He nods his head and smiles.
I sit down with him and stare blankly at the sky.
“Do we have school tomorrow?” I ask sighing.
“Unfortunately yes. It’s the last term; we’ve only got about 5 weeks left.” Andy explains.
“It’s still school.” I sigh. “Can’t it just be over already?”
“When you’re older you’ll look back at the years you’ve spent at school and laugh at how stupid the people were.” Andy smiles.
We sit in the water for another 10 minutes and then decide to go back and get something to eat.
Andy and I walk back and dry ourselves off.
“Where should we go for lunch?” Andy asks.
“I have no idea what lunch places they have around here remember.” I laugh as I put on a spare pair of shorts that I bought with me.
“Okay, we’ll go get ice cream.” Andy smiles. I pick up my bag and Andy slings his over his shoulder.
“Well look who it is.” I voices says from behind Andy and I.
“You’ve got to be kidding me.” Andy and I mumble at the same time.
We turn around to see Megan standing there with who I’m guessing is her boyfriend. Andy’s face turns white. The guy does look familiar. I think he was the one pinning Andy up against a locker on my first day of school. Andy’s hand clings onto my arm.
“So the rumours are true, she does cut herself.” Megan laughs looking at my arm and at my stomach. Fuck, I completely forgot.
“That has nothing to do with you.” I say. Andy’s grip becomes stronger around my arm.
“Well let’s hope that one day you’ll cut yourself too deep and kill yourself.” Megan laughs and the guy standing next to her laughs as well.
I hold my tears back and walk off with Andy still holding my arm.
“Don’t do it.” He says finally letting go.
“Don’t do what?” I ask looking over at my arm. He’s left scratch marks all over it.
“Don’t do what Megan said. I can’t lose you; I don’t know what I would do without you.” He says as his blue eyes become glassy.
“I won’t don’t worry.” I say hugging him. “Now, you have to show me this ice cream shop.”
“That was the best ice cream ever.” I smile on the way home.
“Told you.” Andy laughs sticking his tongue out at me.
We laugh together and then stop outside our houses.
“So I’ll see you tomorrow morning?” I ask looking at Andy.
“Of course, see you then.” Andy hugs me and then we walk over to our houses.
I quickly put my top on and walk to my house. Mom and Dad still aren’t home so I put on some music nice and loud while I take a shower to get all the sand off of me.
Andy’s point of view-
I had a really good day today, well apart from the Megan thing. I say hi to mom and dad and then go upstairs to take a shower. Instead of putting on new clothes I put on my pyjama pants, it’s 5pm. I grab my phone from my desk that I left here last night on purpose because as I guessed Scout hasn’t stopped texting me.
Scout: Andy we need to talk
Scout: Andy I miss you
Scout: Andy why aren’t you replying to me?
And the messages continued like that. I finally decide upon calling her. I sigh and press call next to her number and wait for her to pick up.
“Andy, why weren’t you replying to me?” She says as soon as she picks up.
“A hello might have been nice. I was busy last night.”
“You were with her weren’t you?”
“No, I wasn’t with her.” I lie.
“So why did you want me to call you?”
“Can we try again? Please.”
“Scout I told you, we’re done. I don’t love you.”
“But I love you.”
“Love doesn’t work when only one person in the relationship is in love.” I sigh at my own words.
“Whatever Andrew, I wanted to try again but I guess not.” She sighs.
“Don’t use my full name and don’t call or text me again. I know I’ll be deleting your number from my phone. Good bye Scout.” I say hanging up.
I just ended a relationship with a girl that I have dated for 3 years. But I just don’t love her anymore, there’s nothing that I can do about that.
I get out a pen and my notebook and start writing down lyrics.
An hour later and I’ve only written:
“I open my lungs dear
I sing this song at funerals... no rush.
These lyrics heard a thousand times, just plush.
Baby boy you've held so tightly,
This pain it visits almost nightly
Missing hotel beds, I feel your touch.”
Mom calls me down for dinner.
“So what did you do today?” She asks.
“I went to the beach with Imogen, how was your day?” I reply.
“It was good.” She smiles.
Mom, Dad and I sit down and eat dinner.
After dinner I go upstairs to do my homework. I may have forgotten about my maths homework. I should get started on that.
