The Past was a Lie and the Future's a Bitch

Classes

Zaria/Alexandria's P.O.V
Date: January 15th

"Sweety, it's time to get up," Andy's voice tickled my groggy, sleepy mind. "You have to start school today, which means we have to go get your schedule set up."

I groaned and rolled away from the devil that was awakening me from my precious slumber. It didn't work though cause the next thing I knew the covers were being ripped away from my figure and the lights were flicked on.

"You are so fucking cruel," I groaned. I opened my eyes and grabbed my phone off my night side table. "What the fuck. Why are you waking me up so early?" My phone read six o'clock.
"I thought that you'd want time to get ready." Andy walked back toward me from where he was by the light switch.

Another groan escaped my lips. "It literally takes me ten minutes to brush my teeth, get dressed, do my make-up and hair, unless I wanna be really pretty that said day, and to be out the door. At least it was like that back in Florida." My eyebrows furrowed as I thought about how different my life now is.

Andy then leaned forward and kissed my forehead. My eyes widened nobody has ever showed me that much love, not even my dad, I mean uncle. Well, CC did a few days ago. I quickly shook those thoughts out of my head. We're not going to be thinking of that bastard today.

"It'll take at least thirty more minutes with the broken bones." He got up and headed out the
room. "I'll have CC cook you some breakfast so be down by seven if you can." Then he was gone. Now I knew that it'd take me an hour to get ready just to avoid CC. I have been avoiding him that last seven days, and yes, I know that's a lot but I don't care cause he's doing the same.

I sighed and flopped back down on the bed. "I really don't want to do this," I said out loud to myself. "But you have to so get your lazy ass out of this warm, cozy bed and get ready."

I groaned and decided that the rational part of my brain won even though the needy side was putting up a very good argument.
*** Andy and I walked down the halls of my new school to the guidance councilor's office. I was surprised to see nobody else in the halls and I assumed that they were all either in the commons or the gym waiting for the bell to ring.

We arrived to a door that side "Guidance Councilor." Andy put his knuckles against the door and knocked.

A female's voice sounded from the other side of the door telling us to come in. Inside the office it was bright and very green thanks to all the plants. Her desk was centered in the room and had three floor to ceiling windows behind it with ferns on either side of them. She had bookshelves that were staked with files, books, more plants, and photos of herself and a man. Her room was and organized mess.

"Ah you must be Miss and Mr. Biersack." She gave the warmest smile and I liked her automatically, and no it was not because she was drop dead gorgeous and obviously didn't care about the school dress code with her tank-top and beanie, or maybe the school didn't have a very strict dress code. I liked her because she seemed like a rule breaker, a rebel, she seemed like someone I would hang out with just because she was down to earth and a gentle person. "I am Stacie Moore." She reached out her hand and I noticed the silver band on her thumb that had writing engraved on it that I could not make out.

"Yes, this is Alexandria and I'm Andy." Andy stretched out his hand to meet hers. "And not to said rude or anything but you seem really young to a guidance councilor."

She smiled widely. "I'll take that as a compliment." She took her hand from Andy's and folded them in front of her on the desk. "And I am twenty-four years of age." The way she talked almost made me think she would have been older plus her English accent didn't help the matter.

Andy nodded his head in response. "We are here because we got a call saying that Alex's files made it here from Florida."

"Yes, but I'm confused about something." She walked to the bookshelves and grabbed one of the files. "In this file it says her name is Zaria Jade Vincent and not Alexandria Cora Biersack."

I stiffened at the sound of my old name, it seamed like ages since I last heard it. "Ah, yes," Andy answered. "Well when she was living in Florida she had a different name and family." Andy gave her half the truth and I wondered if he was ever gonna tell her what really happened.

"Okay," she said hesitantly but quickly recovered herself, "Well in her file it says she is on her senior year and here we have some required courses for her to take before she can graduate but none of them are year long so you'll still be able to graduate this year." She turned to the desktop and started to type extremely fast. "You'll need to take a course called government, and recourse, plus you need one more P.E credit. I see that you have taken a lot of art, English, and music classes and we have a lot of those to offer." Turning away from the computer she smiled at me. "So, what would you like to take."

I was hoping that everything would have taken care of itself and I wouldn't have to say a word but I guess that couldn't happen. "Um, what English and music classes do you have."

She smiled again and I started to wonder if she was happy or if she just liked smiling. "Here, I should have given you this." She handed me some papers that were stabled together. "It has all the classes that are available at this school and for your grade."

I let my eyes run over the pages. They had a lot more classes available here than at my old school. They had crafts, drawing one and two, three different arts, pottery, and photography. Their musical classes weren't as extensive as the art but there were enough. Band, chorus, vocals, which is like chorus only you don't preform, and musical history, were you learn about the history of music. In English they had the required English like 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th, but they also had creative writing, advanced English, speech, readers workshop, publications.

While I was looking over the papers Miss Moore and Andy were talking, mainly about their chosen career and how she liked to play the piano. She had a lot of questions on what it was like living in the light and she shared her dream about how someday she would have liked to be a keyboard player in a band of her own.

I waited for them to finish there conversation to tell her what I would possibly like to take.
"Are you ready?" That didn't take as long as I thought it would.

I nodded. "I think so." She gave another warm smile and motioned for me to continue. "Um, I'd like to take creative writing, photography, musical history, drawing one, herbology, and the required classes."

She typed it all into the computer and I was happy yet sad about the fact that this school for some reason had nine classes throughout the day. In Florida we only had to take eight.

"Okay," Miss Moore beamed. "I have you all set up." She grasped a piece of paper from the printer and got up. "Just to let you know musical history counts as a history credit and I teach the photography class."

I should have guessed that with how many photos she has plastered around her room. She motioned for Andy and I to get up and walked out the door. Andy and I followed her and when we got out of her office she told Andy that she would show me to my first class.

"Bye," Andy said as he kissed me on the forehead. "Be good and see you when you get home. I'm going to have CC come pick you up."

My eyes widen for a split second. "Can you come pick me up instead?"

His eyebrows furrowed but he just shook his head yes and walked away. I turned toward Miss Moore and we started to walk.

"You're lucky you know that," she stated. "Starting on a Thursday, all you have to to is endure two days then your clean for the weekend plus we don't have school this following Monday for some odd reason so you're extra lucky."

Yep, I liked her. "Thanks I guess." She let out a bark of laughter. "So, what's my first class."
She looked down at the piece of paper she pulled out from the printer. "Drawing one and after that is herbology. Drawing one is taught by Mr. Hawk, he's one of the younger teachers as well, but I hold the place for the youngest teacher for now. Herology is taught by Mrs. Wilfred. She's in her late forties and is a nice lady if you stay on her good side." We stopped in front of door and inside I saw a short man organizing his room before the animals we all call high school students came. "Mr. Hawk." Mr. Hawk dropped all the papers he was holding when Miss Moore spoke.

"Crap Stacie," Mr. Hawk exclaimed. "You scared me."

When I looked over Miss Moore's shoulder and I saw a short man with light brown hair. He looked like he wasn't easily pushed around but from how easy it was to scare him I was guessing other wise.

"I'm sorry Fred," Miss Moore laughed. "I was just escorting our new student to her first class." She step from in front of me for Mr. Hawk to see.

He gave me a warm smile and I starting to wonder if everyone in this school was going to do it. "Hello miss."

I smiled back at him. "My name is Zaria."

"I thought your name was Alexandria," Miss Moore groaned.

I chuckled slightly. "It is but I grew up with the name Zaria so I prefer it opposed to Alexandria."
Miss Moore groaned again and left me in the hands of Mr. Hawk. I turned to him and saw that he was smiling at me which kinda made me uncomfortable.

"You can sit any where you like," he said as he went back to what he was doing before Miss Moore and I came in. "We have just started working on portraits so I'll need you to get a photo of someone you would like to draw."

"Okay," I mumbled. I already knew who I'd would like to draw and that would be my father. The one I grew up with and not the other two.

All of the sudden students came into the room. When did the bell ring? The more the students came in the more the stares I got. Why did being the new student mean you got stared at like an alien. The last person to enter the room was someone I was hoping I wouldn't have any classes with. The kid that I met while we were moving into the house.

"Oh shit, it's you," the boy exclaimed. I feel like I should know his name but I have never been good at remembering.

"Mr. Carter if you can't keep your language at a low then I will have to ask you to leave," Mr. Hawk scolded the boy.

The boy gave a cocky grin and laughed. "Alrighty, I will try my hardest." He then sat right in front of the spot I was sitting at. "I was hoping that you'd be going to school."

"Why wouldn't I be," I asked coldly. "I still have the rest of this year to go." I paused for a second and noticed that there were about five other seats empty. "Why did you sit next to me?"

He gave another cocky grin. "I thought that sitting next to a lovely young lady like yourself would do me better than sitting next to anyone else. Plus your also sitting in my seat."

My eyes widened. "Oh, I'm so sorry." I started to get up but he just motioned for me to stay seated.

"Alec are you already flirting with the new girl." Alec, that's what his name was. I turned to try and see the owner of the voice and I saw a young beautiful girl with brownish red hair. "I think that's a new record for you." The girl sat down in the other seat at the table.

"Ah come on Jay I was just being polite," Alec whined. "Plus she'll need to make friends and I want to be one of the first."

I raised my eyebrows. "Who ever said I needed to make friends? And who said that you guys would be the type of people I hang out with anyway?"

The girl, Jay, furrowed her eyebrows and got a sad look in her eyes. "Well if you don't want us to bother you then we'll leave." She got up and started to tug on Alec's sleeve.

"Jay, sit back down," Alec ordered, which to my surprise she actually followed. "Now I know you the type to hang out with people like us because of the shirt you are wearing and because of the people that you live with."

My eyes narrowed but not before I looked down to see I was wearing an All Time Low t-shirt but that part of the sentence didn't bother me, it was the other part that did.

"Wait," Jay squeaked. "Who does she live with and how do you know?"

"It doesn't matter but I just saw her moving in when I was walking home from your house last week," he explained. "Oh, and she's you new neighbor."

"Oh my gosh, that's so cool," Jay squealed. "Wait till I tell my mom that we have new neighbor's, she's going to freak. You moved in last week? Oh gosh my mother will flip about how bad of a neighbor she is and how she didn't invite you over for dinner to try and welcome you to the neighborhood, gosh I can just her her now..."

"We won't be going to anyone's house for dinner," I cut her off. She started to protest but I cut her off again. "We aren't that type of family and plus my I live with my brother and his girlfriend, and his girlfriend just so happens to be pregnant and suppose to be due any day now and I don't think that'd she would want to go into labor in the middle of a strangers house."

I saw Alec's eyes go wide and I instantly regretting saying that seeing as he knows who I'm talking about and how they haven't told the fans about Juliet's pregnancy yet.

I pointed at him and glared. "You, forget I ever said that. They don't want anyone to know yet but they do plan on telling everyone soon same about me."

"Alexandria Biersack," Mr. Hawk called my name out and I snapped my head to him. "Would you like to introduce yourself." He kinda sounded irritated.

I gulped. "Do I have to?" He shook his head yes and I deflated. Sighing I stood up. "Hi everyone. My name is Alexandria Biersack but I prefer being called Zaria."

A girl in the back raised her hand and Mr. Hawk called on her. "Why do you prefer being called Zaria when your real name has nothing to do with it?"

I sighed again. "Well, I kinda grew up with the name Zaria then it recently got changed to Alexandria."

Another girl's hand shot up and I was surprised how red her hair was. "You said your last name was Biersack?" I nodded. "Are you related to Andy Biersack from Black Veil Brides?"

My eyes almost popped out of my head but I quickly recovered. "I don't know really know and I actually don't like that band so I prefer not to find out." I lied.

"If I had the possibility to being related to Andy, or any famous person then I would want to know," the red headed girl stated.

"Well, I'm not you now am I," I said a little bitchier than I thought.

Mr. Hawk cleared his throat. "Were did you move from?"

"Florida."

"Why did you move here," some blonde guy asked.

"I was adopted." How many questions were they going to ask me.

"Why do you have so many casts on," Jay piped in next to me.

"I was hit by I truck last month which broke three ribs, my arm, and leg. Plus busted my head open on the right side of my head which thankfully my bangs cover up the nasty scar I got from it. Now can I sit back down?" I didn't want to be rude but I just didn't want to answer anymore questions about me.

"Yeah," Mr. Hawk said a little shocked. "Go ahead and as for the rest of you, I want you to get out your stuff and continue your drawings. Miss. Biersack I want you to look for a picture."

When I looked at Alec he had a smirk on his face and Jay had shock plastered on hers.

"What," I asked irritated.

"Nothing," Alec shrugged. "What grade are you in?"

"I'm a senior and before you ask, because you probably will, I'm seventeen and my birthday was on the seventh of this month. Oh and the reason why I'm graduating at seventeen with my birthday not lining up with the grade is because I skipped a year."

I saw that Alec was about to ask another question but I put in my headphones before he could and lay my head down. Why did today have to start like it did? Wait, why did this month have to start like it did? First Andy treating me like a baby, then CC and his teasing self, now school and people that I didn't want to be friends with cause what was the point I won't be hanging out with anyone cause they'll probably just use me to get to the guys. I mentally groaned and hoped the day would be over quickly so I could just lay in bed.

Notes

Herbology is the study of herb and there medicinal uses, just in case you didn't know. It's is also called herbalism. Plus the reason she doesn't have to take a English 12 is because I'm going to make it to where if you take another English class then it counts for an English credit. Hope you enjoy and will hopefully be updating next weekend depending on if I get another chapter written and my dad broke his shoulder so I'll probably be busy taking care of him.
