Sink Your Teeth Into Forever

Ivy's POV
The question hung in the air like fog. Ash, who my father had really just met, had asked my dad if he could be my boyfriend. I could almost see the wheels turning in my dad's mind. He was trying to put the words together. Maybe he was even trying to put the whole idea of me possibly having a boyfriend together. He opened his mouth as if he was prepared to give an answer, and ten he closed it again. There was another second of silence. The question was still thick in the air like a toxic gas. For a moment I was sure that he just wasn't going to answer, and we were all just going to stand there like idiots staring at each other. Ash looked up to me for a second, and then back to my dad. Who may have been having a small stroke over the fact that I could have a boyfriend.
"Look I know it's really sudden and everything but if you really want to know why I was so blunt then I can explain the situation. It has to do with werewolves and finding the person that they're gonna mate wi-" Ashley started, my dad cut him off with a halting hand.
"Ivy, are you happy with this?" My dad said turning to me. Not just he, but I felt the attention of the entire room shift to me.
"Yes, I am happy with it," I said, with as much confidence as I could muster in the imposing situation.
"Then I'm happy with it, and that's all I need to know. Unless things go wrong, all I need to know is that your happy with him," My dad said. Ashley's face broke into a massive grin, and the room became so much less tense. I took a step around my dad and into Ashley's arms where there was a massive embrace.
"Not to like, break up this incredibly loving moment or anything, but uh, my stomach is about to start growling so loud that it's going to make this situation awkward," CC said, his hand across his slender stomach.
"How about I make some chocolate chip pancakes for us all," Juliet said.
"I'll help!" Ella volunteered. With that note the day got started. Things turned into a whirlwind pretty quickly. Everyone decided to get dressed and ready for the day, because we didn't know who the officials of the island may want to work with that day. In about fifteen minutes we were sitting down in the kitchen table eating chocolate chip pancakes. Even though the pancakes were more like chocolate chips with the occasional bit of pancake in between them. Just how CC liked it, according to Lauren.
Andy's POV
Well getting Ivy's dad to accept that she and Ashley wanted to date was a whole lot easier than I think any of us had expected. He probably didn't realize the extent of the whole mate for life thing yet. When he figured that out Ash might get punched in the face. To be honest though, there were many times in which Ash deserved to get punched in the face and didn't, so maybe this would make up for it a little bit. I was surprised that the Island hadn't come calling on us yet today to do anything. Even though I assumed that it would probably be sometime soon, I hoped it would be longer because the sugar from the pancakes was making it really hard for me to function properly. As if on cue the second I had mentioned that very thought to Juliet the phone rang. We all looked at each other for a moment, we hadn't yet used the phone during our stay. Sammi, who was the closest to the phone at the time stood up to answer it.
"Hello?" She said, unsure of the other person on the line. The was a few seconds of someone on the other line talking to her. She gave a few affirmatives into the phone before hanging up. She looked at me.
"Andy, they say that they need to meet with you, alone. They'll be here in ten minutes to walk you over to the building," She said, unsure of what the situation could imply.
"Dude, you can't just go alone, what if they're going to try to hurt you or something," Jinxx said. I bit my lip, he could be right.
"You know they're probably just going to yell at me for getting in Jane's face yesterday," I said, " If that's what their doing then I can just go and take it, maybe explain what happened so that they don't think I'm a complete jerk,"
"Yeah, but what if that's not what they're doing?" Jake said.
"Tell you guys what, if I'm not back by sundown you have my full permission to come in there and knock some heads together until you find out where I'm at," I said, and it calmed their nerves enough so that they'd make it through the day without having to worry all too much.
Not a minute later, just as I was standing up to go check for someone coming up the path, there was a knock on the door. I went to go get the door when Juliet pulled me back. I thought that she was going to kiss me but instead she grabbed a napkin and wiped all the chocolate off of my face. Then she gave me a kiss.
I pulled open the door, not surprised to find Johnny on the other side.
"You ready to go?" He asked. I nodded.
"Guys, remember what I said about sunset," I called back into the house as the door was closing. I started to walk with Johnny.
"What's about sunset?" Johnny asked as we walked.
"I told them that if I'm not back by the time the sun has gone down then they can come and find me," I said.
"Oh, well this shouldn't take that long," Johnny said.
"What is this about anyway?"' I asked.
"Uhhmmm, I'm not really supposed to tell you, but I can give a vague hint that, you may be in great danger,"
