Sink Your Teeth Into Forever

Ivy's POV
All of us were sitting around the camp fire, minus Andy, as he was still asleep in the car. CC was keeping everyone laughing as the night was slowly becoming darker. I wondered when the change was going to happen, I hoped that I would get at least some sort of a warning. I mean Andy made it sound like it was one of the most horrifying things in the world to see someone change for the first time. What a nasty surprise it would be to just be chilling and talking to someone and then suddenly, whoosh, they're a five hundred pound wolf. I was very content at this point. Other than of course the raging guilt of putting all of them in danger, I was doing okay. Everyone was treating me like family, which was something that I'd never experienced before in my life. In my school I had always felt like I ran on a different wavelength than everyone else. Like I thought completely differently than everyone else. I wasn't in to wearing make up, or designer clothes, or listening to pop music like everyone else did. In fact I didn't have much of an interest in music at all, nothing that I'd ever had played for me held any kind of interest. For the most part I was completely ignored at school, and the people who did talk to me quickly decided that I was too weird for them to talk to. So I was a bit thrown off when Jake asked me what kind of music I was in to.
“Uh, I, Uh... I don't really listen to music,” I stammered shocked.
“What? No music?” Jake gasped, they all gawked at me, mouths a gape. For the first time since being there with them I felt like I was set apart for some reason.
“What? What's so bad about that?” I said. They looked at each other.
“Sweet heart you do realize that we are a band right?” Jinxx said, finally able to pull his jaw up off the ground. I hadn't actually put much thought into what these guys could do for a living.
“Uhhh... no,”
“You've never heard of a band called Black Veil Brides?”
“No, is that you guys?”
“Yeah it's us. You don't have any friends who listen to any sort of rock or anything do you,”
“I don't really have any friends,” I said, “They all think I'm weird,”
“No music, no friends? How in the world are you making it through high school?” CC said shaking his head in amazement.
“I don't know, I just kind of keep to myself and just about my day,” I said. They all were looking at me like they felt bad. It made me feel bad so I looked at the ground. Suddenly I felt arms wrap around me, crushing me into a hug.
“DON'T BE SAD, YOU HAVE FRIENDS NOW!” CC yelled, squeezing me.
“Really?” I said as he let go, they all nodded.
“Of course, you've got friends in us, you seem like a really cool person,” Lauren said, while her boyfriend sauntered back over to sit next to her. I smiled, really truly feeling like I had friends, it was a great feeling. I jumped when I heard a car door close, turning around I saw Andy walking out of the car. He didn't look right, his eyes were red around the edges, and the blue parts didn't have their usually sparkle. He was fixated on the ground, his hands in his pockets, not even a ghost of a smile on his pierced lips. In fact his lips seemed as though they weren't as red as they usually were, he was most definitely paler than he usually was. As soon as I saw him I was concerned, I almost got up the courage to ask if he was okay, but then Jake beat me to it.
“Hey man, you look like you've seen a ghost, you okay?” He said. For a second Andy seemed to hesitate at the sound of Jake's voice. He looked at him for a moment and I saw something that I never expected to see on the face of someone like Andy. Fear. Andy was afraid of Jake for some reason. Then as quickly as the emotion had shown up it faded.
“I'm fine, just... waking up,” he said. The sound of his voice was just as concerning as how he looked. It sounded rough, like his throat was extremely dry, he swallowed hard as he sat on the ground next to my chair, between me and Juliette to my left. There was a long moment of silence, I was not the only one here getting the sense that Andy was not okay. Something that he did not want to talk about was plaguing him. He sat silently his knees up at his chest and his eyes on the ground. After a second of looking at him I noticed that he was trembling. I wanted to put my arms around him and figure out what was wrong. Maybe I'd ask him later when we were alone. I wondered if he would tell me.
Everyone was still waiting for him to say something. As the sun was nearly down by this point. He was silent. I watched as his eyes closed and his head rested on his knees. It seemed like he was focusing only slowing his breathing, which was heavy for having just walked from the car to the fire. Juliette set a hand gently on his shoulder.
“Andy,” She said softly. He took a deep breath and looked up.
“Everyone stay in the shade of the tree until the moon is all the way up. We'll all change at once so the girls only have to see it once. Until then, just keep doing what you're doing,” He said. His voice was thick, like he was struggling to keep it from shaking. After he short speech he curled up on his side on the ground and covered his head with his hands. After another moment of looking at him, the conversation started back up again. I didn't join in because I had a sickening feeling that Andy had some serious problems.

Hey guys sorry this is another short one, here in about a month and a half these are going to start getting longer again. So I hope you stick with it, the story will be coming to a close in probably less than 4 months, so stick with it.
