Chapter 8: We Stitch These Wounds
CC's POV
As soon as I saw Jake's head in the back of the car, I flew out the door, flung the gate wide open and waited at the side of the car. A man, about the same height as me, opened the door and took hold of Jake's arm. Jake pulled himself up onto his feet. The man helped him move to the side and closed the door. I extended my arm for Jake. "He needs to continue therapy for a couple days, he can walk but only with support. He's doing well." The guy said dismissively. I helped Jake walk into our temporary house. The rest of the band stood at the door smiling. We'd set up Jake's bed for him, he was going to share a room with Ashley, Killer, Tokyo, me, Bubbalito and Trixy. The band moved into the lounge. I sat Jake on the closest seat to the door. "Hey guys, I feel like an old man." Jake smiled. "We're all glad that you can walk, even if you need support." Jinxx smiled. "Not even that you can walk more that you're alive and healthy." Ashley added. "I've got to attend another couple of days of physical therapy to ensure that I'll be able to walk and play in the band." Jake sighed. "Awesome dude." I said. "Yeah Black Veil Brides just wouldn't be the same without you, we need you to be complete, you're irreplaceable." Andy commented. I sat in silence, I wanted to admit that I loved him, but he might have thought that I didn't really love him before he saved my life and I'm loving him to try and repay him. I walked through to the kitchen and began to make bacon and egg for everybody. I put out dog meat for each dog. It only took about ten minutes to make the breakfast. I first took Jake, Jinxx and Sammi's plates through. Then I brought Andy, Ashley and Juliet's through. I finally sat down with my own breakfast.
Jake's POV
CC was being so sweet, he took me into the house, made everybody breakfast, took care of Trixy and Bubbalito, made my bed in his and Ashley's room. I loved CC and I could see he still loved me. I didn't want to make it awkward in the band. I needed a release for my passion, I needed to show CC I loved him. I needed to try and get Andy and Ashley in a room with me, I can do drums, bass and guitar, not vocals. I won't sing because it would be very painful, for the listeners. The bad thing was that Jinxx and Sammi had to know, CC couldn't know, it was for him. CC would get suspicious. I had to rely on Jinxx and Sammi to keep CC away from the room. I could have waited to get them over to work on the album if CC's birthday hadn't been edging nearer. I wanted to be able to walk before April 21st. I could finish a whole album in a couple of days, but it wouldn't be the best so another couple of days for editing. My priorities were, learning to walk on my own and then completing the album with Ashley, Andy and Juliet. I could walk short distances, just barely. I made my way to the room I shared with CC and Ashley. CC made sure I didn't fall. I didn't fall until I opened the spotless, white door. I was greeted by a huge, colourful banner. "WELCOME BACK JAKE!" The banner read. I stepped back and lost my balance. Luckily CC caught me. His hands were holding me up while his forearms supported my shoulders. "ASHLEY!" CC shouted in an angry tone. CC helped me up onto my feet. "Thanks CC, I'll call for you on the way back." I whispered. I slowly and gently kissed his cheek. I closed the door behind me and pulled out my phone. I sat down on the bed that had Trixy's blanket on and dialled my physical therapist's number. I wanted to book a six hour appointment for tomorrow.
CC's POV
Jake was ignoring me, or it might have been everybody crowding around him. I wanted to help Jake as much as he would allow. I loved Jake with all my heart. I walked Jake to his room. Ashley had suggested making a colourful banner for Jake, I'd opposed his decision and didn't think he'd went along with his idea. I found out that he had when Jake opened the bedroom door and fell into my arms from shock, I think, of the banner. "ASHLEY!" I groaned. I left Jake to make his private call. Before closing the door, Jake turned round to face me. "Thanks CC, I'll call for you on the way back." He whispered. Jake then leaned forward and gently kissed my cheek. My insides started to jump, I just wanted to fangirl there and then. I managed to contain myself and just smirk slightly. On the way back up the hall, I shouted at Ashley. "ASHLEY!" I shouted. I scowled in his direction and made my way towards him not taking my eyes off him. "I didn't think you were going to make the banner, poor Jake was so shocked he almost fell on his back." I giggled. "CC." Jake called. I raced down to the bedroom. "Everything alright?" I asked concerned. "Yeah, I would like support for the journey back to the lounge." He answered. I walked at a snail's pace behind him. I'd rather he fell into my arms than flat on his face and broke his nose. When we finally reached the lounge, Jake sat down on the chair closest to the door. I sat on Ashley because there were no other seats. "I have a six hour appointment tomorrow, so pack your bags and get plane tickets for an airplane to L.A." Jake smiled. How was Jake so sure that he would be able to leave tomorrow or Friday? Why couldn't I be excited to see my home for the first time in three months? I sat deep in thought for what seemed like a couple of minutes. "CC, CC?" Ashley asked looking at me. "Huh what?" I asked blankly looking up to see Ashley. "Oh good you're okay, I was getting worried, you were frozen for about twenty minutes." Ashley stated. The rest of the day seemed to be a blur of talking and watching films. The only thing I remember was at night, Ashley and I had done our part in doing up a room for Ashley, Jake, Trixy, Bubbalito and myself to sleep. We'd also done a room for Andy and Juliet and a separate room for Sammi and Jinxx. Ashley had gone to bed first as he was getting bored. By the end of the night we all ended up playing the Xbox, we only had four controllers, three that worked. Jake, Andy and I played Mortal Kombat and Mortal Kombat VS DC Universe for quite sometime. Jinxx had went to bed early on, I guess boredom. Sammi and Juliet were talking while we played. At about 11pm Andy, Jake and I had decided that it was time for bed. I supported Jake on the way to bed. When we got into the room we had to used the blunt light in the hall, to see the beds. I soon realised that we had only built two beds. "Jake, there aren't any beds for me to sleep on, can I please join you?" I whispered trying not to wake Ashley up. "Yes." Jake groaned.
Jake's POV
The next morning I got up to my alarm after slamming my hand down on top of it. It was a pleasant surprise to wake up next to CC. I couldn't recall very much of last night other than CC asking to sleep next to me, and me drifting off to sleep and giving him a groan. I loved CC but I saw the way Ashley looked at him. Speaking of Ashley, usually he's still sleeping when I got up, what's so different about today. His bed was empty, definitely sign of life in that bed though. I didn't want to wake CC up, I decided to attempt the long walk to the lounge on my own. I felt like I slid a couple of times but I focused and fell. I fell backwards, I heard Ashley's voice but I couldn't see him. "Jake, Jake, are you okay?" Ashley asked trying to help me up. "I'm alright, I need some support or..." "Try not to focus too much, I know that sounds stupid, but you know how to walk, try to take your mind off walking and think about something else." Ashley advised walking me carefully into the lounge. "Ashley, what time is it?" I asked feeling the back of my head. "Twenty past nine, why?" Ashley asked concerned. "I've got ten minutes to get dressed." I answered preparing myself for my journey back into the bedroom for clothes. "Jake sit, Sammi and Juliet are sleeping, I'll get your clothes." Ashley insisted. "Thank you." I commented relaxing. Ashley only took about a minute to get my clothes. "Do you need help?" He asked. "No, but thank you anyway." I answered smiling. I noticed a silver Meriva pulling up outside the gate. I quickly threw on my clothes before demanding Ashley to walk me out to the car. "Ashley I want to make an album for CC's birthday, can you Andy and Juliet help me?" I asked. "Yes we will help, today we'll take Sammi and Jinxx out for lunch to tell them about the album." Ashley answered. "Thank you."
Ashley's POV
Jake asked for help on an album for CC. I think they're both madly in love with each other. I had to tell Andy and Juliet without CC hearing and ask Sammi and Jinxx out to lunch. This was like mission impossible or mission awkward. I snuck into Andy and Juliet's bedroom, I shook Andy carefully. "What?" He groaned. "We are going to help Jake." I whispered. "With what and how?" He mumbled sitting himself up. "Vocals on an album for CC." I whispered in his ear. "Juliet?" "Yes." I answered. "We're taking Jinxx and Sammi for lunch to tell them about the album." I added before leaving the dark room. I then snuck into Jinxx and Sammi's room. I crawled over to the bed. "Jinxx, Jinxx." I called. Jinxx sat up and looked down at me. "Me, Andy and Juliet are going to take you and Sammi out for lunch." I insisted. "Okay, CC not coming?" He asked quietly. "No." I whispered quickly before leaving the room. Andy knew what Jake's plan was and he would tell Juliet, Jinxx knew about lunch, he would tell Sammi. When I came out of Jinxx's room I let out a sigh of relief. I heard the bedroom door creek open. Without hesitating I dived onto the couch. CC walked into the lounge, he groaned and moaned in pain. He clutched his stomach. I walked over to him. "What's up?" I asked him concerned. I tried to help him, he bolted in the opposite direction. A couple of seconds later I heard him throwing up. To stop myself from throwing up, I put on my iPod with my earphones. CC came through about ten minutes later. I took out my iPod. "CC I think you should go to bed and take it easy today, I'll make a stop at the grocery store." I ordered. CC took off to his bed. I followed him in and got dressed. "CC would you like anything to eat or drink right now?" I asked. "Not right now, but thanks Ashley." He mumbled. "Do you want anything from the grocery store?" "Soup please." He answered. "No problem I'll go as soon as somebody else wakes up." I replied. I left CC's room door open so that we could hear his calls. Jinxx and Sammi were awake. "Great you're both up, I'm going to run to the grocery store for CC, CC's ill, if you could please take care of him." I mentioned. I sprung out the door and raced to the grocery store.
CC's POV
I overheard Ashley telling Jinxx that he, Andy and Juliet were taking Jinxx and Sammi out for lunch, I wanted to stay here and wait for Jake coming home. I came up with a cunning plan. I was going to fake and illness. I walked through to Ashley, I pretended that I had pains in my stomach. When he believed that I was ill, I raced into the toilet and played a sound of puking on repeat for ten minutes. When I walked through to see Ashley, he insisted that I rested in bed while he got me soup from the grocery store. He left when Jinxx and Sammi had awakened. I could hear Jinxx and Sammi from my room. Nothing was happening, I just couldn't wait until they left. "Jinxx." I groaned. Jinxx walked through with his arm wrapped around Sammi. He looked at me as if to say, I know what you're doing. "CC you must think I'm stupid, I know what you're doing. You overheard Ashley telling me about our lunch plans with him, Andy and Juliet, you've realised that you want to be left alone with Jake, you've faked an illness so we would leave you home with Jake." Jinxx said as if he was one of my old teachers trying to teach me something. "Alright, was it that easy to figure out?" I asked curiously. "I've been friends with you for a couple years, you catch on eventually." He replied. I picked up my cell phone. I dialled Ashley's number. "Ashley, I've faked my illness, I'm not ill, I just wanted to be left alone with Jake." I confessed. "CC, calm down, I know. I thought I'd let you have your fun before we treated you like a child." He giggled. I could hear a woman's strong Scottish accent in the background. "Ashley you better not be doing what I think you're doing." I looked disgusted and managed to get smiles from Jinxx and Sammi. "No, why would... Oh." He caught on quickly. "See ya CC." "See ya Ash, USE PROTECTION!" I shouted down the phone purposely trying to let the woman hear. I quickly hung up. "Did he..." I interrupted Sammi. "No, I heard a woman's Scottish accent, I just wanted to tease Ashley." I got up and walked towards the door. Jinxx quickly left, walking down the hall. "Sammi you can stay, I don't think Jinxx would approve." I commented smiling. She looked a bit confused. I grabbed the top of my shorts making her jog towards Jinxx. I guess that's one way to get my friends' women away from me or my bedroom door. I was in trouble, I'd lost all my clothes. "Jinxx." I called. "What?" He asked opening the door. "AAAAAHHHHH! CC put something on, PLEASE!" Jinxx pleaded. I grabbed a blanket. "I can't find my clothes." I whined. "How am I meant to know where they are?" He asked getting annoyed. "Can you please help me?" I asked. "Alright, Sammi is good at finding things." Jinxx smiled. "Sammi you're helping us find CC's clothes." "Is he covered?" Sammi asked, I'm assuming Jinxx. "Yes." He said. I purposely ran over to the door and took off the blanket as soon as she entered the room. She squealed and hid outside. "CC!" Jinxx shouted. I covered myself up, still smiling. "It's okay sweetie CC will behave." Jinxx gritted his teeth. I began to look around the bed I slept in last night. "Jinxx, do you think it's possible that Jake is wearing my clothes?" I asked suspiciously. "It's a possibility." He replied. "I only see Jake's clothes." I replied. "Or Jake's wearing Ashley's pants and your tee and Ashley's wearing his tee with your pants." Jinxx suggested. "Wait, that means I'll have to eat my soup at the table, nude." I teased. "Nude all day until Jake gets home, when there's no need for clothes." Jinxx teased. "CC do you have a backpack?" Sammi asked being the wise one in this situation. I left her question unanswered as I sat down on Jake's bed and rummaged through my backpack. "I have pants." I broke the silence. Jinxx patted my back and stood up. "Jinxx you okay?" I asked concerned. "I'm fine but I wanted to watch a movie with Sammi, I just wanted to be alone with her." Jinxx looked at the ground. "Take her out on a date, on me." I whispered. He smiled at me looking me in the eyes. "Thanks." He smiled while hugging me. the blanket dropped, it was hard for either of us not to have noticed. Jinxx smirked while i pulled up the blanket. he laughed to himself as he walked out the door. I put on my pants realising that the knees were worn out and covered in mud. When I walked out of the bedroom, before I closed the door behind me, I heard the clicking of the front door closing. Ashley was coming in. He wasn't even in thirty seconds before I jumped at him. He seemed a tiny bit overwhelmed. "CC I got you some soup, the woman that taught you how to speak Scots recommended it." Ashley said trying to keep distance from me. "I hope you used protection, none of us want a random woman telling us that you got her pregnant." I teased. "Yes CC I used protection on a sixty year old woman." He said sarcastically. He handed me the bag. I took it and walked through to the kitchen to make myself soup. I walked into the lounge. I saw Sammi sitting on Jinxx passionately kissing him. "PG, SHEILD MY EYES, IT BURNS!" I screamed. They both panicked as I sunk to the floor. Ashley walked in behind me and hit me over the head with a magazine. He looked at me as if nothing had happened. I crawled through to the kitchen. "Stop being so dramatic." Ashley sighed. I got up and put the bag on the counter top. I took out the can of Heinz chicken soup. I opened the can and put it in a pot, I slowly stirred the soup. Ignoring everything around me I found myself deep in thought about Jake, how he might be able to walk on his own and we might be going home soon. I wanted Jake to move in with me, we haven't even been on a first date yet, I'll ask him today. I soon came back to reality, luckily before I set anything on fire. I transferred the soup from the pot into the bowl. I sat down at the table, across from Ashley. Ashley was silently reading Kerrang! Magazine. Jinxx and Sammi looked over at me and Ashley. We looked up at each other. The room was silent. From the other room we could hear moans and the squeaking of a bed. I wanted someone, anyone to speak to remove the tension. I urged someone to speak. Everyone stayed silent. I quietly slurped my soup. After about five minutes of silence we could hear someone approaching the door. "Ashley, is it a good article about us?" Jinxx asked. We all looked at Ashley. "Morning Andy." Ashley smiled evilly. Andy started to blush knowing what Ashley was smiling at. "Oh, God no." Andy blasphemed as he turned to walk into the bedroom. "Juliet, they heard." Andy said. We all began to laugh loudly. Andy came back out of the room. "Well this day is going to be awkward." Andy stated smirking a little. "What time do you want to leave for lunch?" Andy asked Ashley. "Whenever you're done." Ashley teased. "Once you and Juliet are ready to go." Andy left to get dressed. I put my bowl in the dishwasher. I sat down on the couch beside Jinxx and Sammi. I heard the opening and closing of Andy's bedroom door. Everybody stood up and crowding round me. I was getting a bit scared. "Now young CC we want you to be safe with our friend Jake." Andy began. Well it's obvious that they don't think my parents gave me a very good 'talk'. "If you break his heart, well break your, your... Your body." Jinxx stumbled on his comeback. "Yes mommy." I pouted. Jinxx gave me a look of 'I hate you right now.' "Be a good little CC." Andy stated as they each started to back away. Everybody walked out the room towards Ashley's car, outside. Ashley grabbed his keys. "Remember to use protection." Ashley teased as he left me alone. I wasn't alone for long...

I tried to help him, he bolted in the opposite direction. A couple of seconds later I heard him throwing up. To stop myself from throwing up, I put on my iPod with my earphones. CC came through about ten minutes later. I took out my iPod. "CC I think you should go to bed and take it easy today, I'll make a stop at the grocery store." I ordered. CC took off to his bed. I followed him in and got dressed. "CC would you like anything to eat or drink right now?" I asked. "Not right now, but thanks Ashley." He mumbled. "Do you want anything from the grocery store?" "Soup please." He answered. "No problem I'll go as soon as somebody else wakes up." I replied. I left CC's room door open so that we could hear his calls. Jinxx and Sammi were awake. "Great you're both up, I'm going to run to the grocery store for CC, CC's ill, if you could please take care of him." I mentioned. I sprung out the door and raced to the grocery store.
CC's POV
I overheard Ashley telling Jinxx that he, Andy and Juliet were taking Jinxx and Sammi out for lunch, I wanted to stay here and wait for Jake coming home. I came up with a cunning plan. I was going to fake and illness. I walked through to Ashley, I pretended that I had pains in my stomach. When he believed that I was ill, I raced into the toilet and played a sound of puking on repeat for ten minutes. When I walked through to see Ashley, he insisted that I rested in bed while he got me soup from the grocery store. He left when Jinxx and Sammi had awakened. I could hear Jinxx and Sammi from my room. Nothing was happening, I just couldn't wait until they left. "Jinxx." I groaned. Jinxx walked through with his arm wrapped around Sammi. He looked at me as if to say, I know what you're doing. "CC you must think I'm stupid, I know what you're doing. You overheard Ashley telling me about our lunch plans with him, Andy and Juliet, you've realised that you want to be left alone with Jake, you've faked an illness so we would leave you home with Jake." Jinxx said as if he was one of my old teachers trying to teach me something. "Alright, was it that easy to figure out?" I asked curiously. "I've been friends with you for a couple years, you catch on eventually." He replied. I picked up my cell phone. I dialled Ashley's number. "Ashley, I've faked my illness, I'm not ill, I just wanted to be left alone with Jake." I confessed. "CC, calm down, I know. I thought I'd let you have your fun before we treated you like a child." He giggled. I could hear a woman's strong Scottish accent in the background. "Ashley you better not be doing what I think you're doing." I looked disgusted and managed to get smiles from Jinxx and Sammi. "No, why would... Oh." He caught on quickly. "See ya CC." "See ya Ash, USE PROTECTION!" I shouted down the phone purposely trying to let the woman hear. I quickly hung up. "Did he..." I interrupted Sammi. "No, I heard a woman's Scottish accent, I just wanted to tease Ashley." I got up and walked towards the door. Jinxx quickly left, walking down the hall. "Sammi you can stay, I don't think Jinxx would approve." I commented smiling. She looked a bit confused. I grabbed the top of my shorts making her jog towards Jinxx. I guess that's one way to get my friends' women away from me or my bedroom door. I was in trouble, I'd lost all my clothes. "Jinxx." I called. "What?" He asked opening the door. "AAAAAHHHHH! CC put something on, PLEASE!" Jinxx pleaded. I grabbed a blanket. "I can't find my clothes." I whined. "How am I meant to know where they are?" He asked getting annoyed. "Can you please help me?" I asked. "Alright, Sammi is good at finding things." Jinxx smiled. "Sammi you're helping us find CC's clothes." "Is he covered?" Sammi asked, I'm assuming Jinxx. "Yes." He said. I purposely ran over to the door and took off the blanket as soon as she entered the room. She squealed and hid outside. "CC!" Jinxx shouted. I covered myself up, still smiling. "It's okay sweetie CC will behave." Jinxx gritted his teeth. I began to look around the bed I slept in last night. "Jinxx, do you think it's possible that Jake is wearing my clothes?" I asked suspiciously. "It's a possibility." He replied. "I only see Jake's clothes." I replied. "Or Jake's wearing Ashley's pants and your tee and Ashley's wearing his tee with your pants." Jinxx suggested. "Wait, that means I'll have to eat my soup at the table, nude." I teased. "Nude all day until Jake gets home, when there's no need for clothes." Jinxx teased. "CC do you have a backpack?" Sammi asked being the wise one in this situation. I left her question unanswered as I sat down on Jake's bed and rummaged through my backpack. "I have pants." I broke the silence. Jinxx patted my back and stood up. "Jinxx you okay?" I asked concerned. "I'm fine but I wanted to watch a movie with Sammi, I just wanted to be alone with her." Jinxx looked at the ground. "Take her out on a date, on me." I whispered. He smiled at me looking me in the eyes. "Thanks." He smiled while hugging me. the blanket dropped, it was hard for either of us not to have noticed. Jinxx smirked while i pulled up the blanket. he laughed to himself as he walked out the door. I put on my pants realising that the knees were worn out and covered in mud. When I walked out of the bedroom, before I closed the door behind me, I heard the clicking of the front door closing. Ashley was coming in. He wasn't even in thirty seconds before I jumped at him. He seemed a tiny bit overwhelmed. "CC I got you some soup, the woman that taught you how to speak Scots recommended it." Ashley said trying to keep distance from me. "I hope you used protection, none of us want a random woman telling us that you got her pregnant." I teased. "Yes CC I used protection on a sixty year old woman." He said sarcastically. He handed me the bag. I took it and walked through to the kitchen to make myself soup. I walked into the lounge. I saw Sammi sitting on Jinxx passionately kissing him. "PG, SHEILD MY EYES, IT BURNS!" I screamed. They both panicked as I sunk to the floor. Ashley walked in behind me and hit me over the head with a magazine. He looked at me as if nothing had happened. I crawled through to the kitchen. "Stop being so dramatic." Ashley sighed. I got up and put the bag on the counter top. I took out the can of Heinz chicken soup. I opened the can and put it in a pot, I slowly stirred the soup. Ignoring everything around me I found myself deep in thought about Jake, how he might be able to walk on his own and we might be going home soon. I wanted Jake to move in with me, we haven't even been on a first date yet, I'll ask him today. I soon came back to reality, luckily before I set anything on fire. I transferred the soup from the pot into the bowl. I sat down at the table, across from Ashley. Ashley was silently reading Kerrang! Magazine. Jinxx and Sammi looked over at me and Ashley. We looked up at each other. The room was silent. From the other room we could hear moans and the squeaking of a bed. I wanted someone, anyone to speak to remove the tension. I urged someone to speak. Everyone stayed silent. I quietly slurped my soup. After about five minutes of silence we could hear someone approaching the door. "Ashley, is it a good article about us?" Jinxx asked. We all looked at Ashley. "Morning Andy." Ashley smiled evilly. Andy started to blush knowing what Ashley was smiling at. "Oh, God no." Andy blasphemed as he turned to walk into the bedroom. "Juliet, they heard." Andy said. We all began to laugh loudly. Andy came back out of the room. "Well this day is going to be awkward." Andy stated smirking a little. "What time do you want to leave for lunch?" Andy asked Ashley. "Whenever you're done." Ashley teased. "Once you and Juliet are ready to go." Andy left to get dressed. I put my bowl in the dishwasher. I sat down on the couch beside Jinxx and Sammi. I heard the opening and closing of Andy's bedroom door. Everybody stood up and crowding round me. I was getting a bit scared. "Now young CC we want you to be safe with our friend Jake." Andy began. Well it's obvious that they don't think my parents gave me a very good 'talk'. "If you break his heart, well break your, your... Your body." Jinxx stumbled on his comeback. "Yes mommy." I pouted. Jinxx gave me a look of 'I hate you right now.' "Be a good little CC." Andy stated as they each started to back away. Everybody walked out the room towards Ashley's car, outside. Ashley grabbed his keys. "Remember to use protection." Ashley teased as he left me alone. I wasn't alone for long...
