My Prophet

Sunrise On The East Side

Coralie and I roamed through the airport hand in hand. We had already checked our luggage, and gone through security and now we were looking for our gate. The plane ride from LA to Hawaii wasn't bad, only three hours, so Coralie wasn't too nervous. I looked down at our tickets to see our gate was 321. I saw it directly across from us.

"There it is." I said to Coralie whose eyes were drooping. We had to wake up at three to catch our five o'clock flight and I knew she was tired.

"Good." She sighed, making me laugh. I pulled her over to the gate and we sat down in two chairs. "I'm tired." She leaned back and slipped her eyes shut. I smiled and grabbed her hand, again. As soon as her breathing became even a voice came over the speakers.

"Boarding for flight 212 to Honolulu may start now. We invite all buisness class members to come up." The women said. Coralie groaned.

"She woke me up." She exclaimed. I chuckled and wrapped my arms around her waist.

"I was going to have to do it sometime." I pressed my lips to her cheek. In about ten minutes they started boarding coach and we quickly got on. I put our bags in the overhead and took my seat next to her. A young teenage girl was seated beside us and she kept sneaking disgusted glances at us. She was wearing all light colors and plenty of expensive jewelry. I rolled my eyes.

Corrie grabbed my arm and rested her head on my shoulder. I smiled at her and kissed her cheek. I got out my song book and rested it in my lap. I was never really one for sleeping on planes..

The flight attendants went through the safety procedures as Coralie fell asleep on me. Finally the plane took off and Corrie popped her head up. I chuckled, "Good morning." She stuck her tongue out at me.

"Morning." She chuckled and looked down at my notebook. "Working on some songs?" She asked, yawning and tucking her feet underneath legs. I wrapped my arm around her and she cuddled into my side.

"Yeah." I nodded.

"Can I read it?" She stuck her lower lip out. I leaned down to kiss it and nodded. She took the book out of my hand and scanned the page. It was a new song called I Won't Let You Down. "Beautiful." She smiled.

"It's about you." He chuckled.

"Even more beautiful!" She exclaimed.

I laughed, "I love you."

"I love you too." She said wrapping her arms around my mid-section. I leaned my cheek on her head and stared at the window as fell back asleep.

I know the feeling. My stories from two years ago on here are just cringe-worthy in my opinion. But I definitely can relate to the your main character already just because of the the dance aspect. Kind of reminds me of my series "The Mortician's Daughter/Lost It All" and "Wretched and Divine/Ohio Is For Lovers" Those two series are dance related which are my favorite types of stories to write
