My Prophet

Arched

Andy, and I walked down the stairs hand in hand. I heard the commotion of my large, and annoying, family in the living room. I felt Andy's lips press into my temple, he smiled down at me, and I instantly felt calmer.

We walked into the living room, and all eyes fell on us. My father offered us a weak smile, and I lightly smiled back.

"Look who finally decided to join us." Savannah muttered, looking up from her place on the floor.

"Oh Coralie maybe you'd want to introduce Andy to your family." My mother said. I cleared my throat, looking at my aunt's, uncles, and cousins.

"This is my boyfriend Andy Biersack. Andy this my aunt Kate, her husband Thomas and their daughters Savannah, and Courtney, and their sons Jason and Ethan. This is my uncle David, his wife Lisa and their daughters Kathleen, and Amelia. Finally this is my aunt Ella and her son Cooper." I said out of breath. Andy nodded, looking overwhelmed.

A chorus of 'it's nice to meet you's' sounded off from my cousins but the adults plus Savannah scowled at Andy. They looked at him like they wanted to squash him like a bug. I placed my arm around his waist, and he looked at me with big 'help me' eyes.

"So Andy, we hear your in a band?" Said my aunt Ella.

"I am." He said swallowing hard.

"A shitty one." Savannah said under her breath, but loud enough so we could hear it.

"Are you serious right now?" I said angrily.

"What?" She raised an eyebrow, and leaned back against my brother, Anthony's legs.

"That's my boyfriends band your talking about! I don't give a right fuck about your opinion, you will not disrespect him or anything he works so god damn hard at." I yelled at her. Everyone in the room had fallen silent. That was the first time I had ever lashed out in front of my family before. Andy was looking at me in awe, and my father had a small smile on his face.

"How is a ballet dancer dating a rockstar anyways? Isn't his life of sleeping with a different girl every night a little challenging?" Savannah smirked.

"How dare you? Andy is not cheating on me!" I screamed.

"There is no need to yell, Coralie." My mother looked up at me, her jaw clenched. "Someone in a band isn't right for your life style anyway, so maybe this discussion needs to happen."

"Of course you would say that!" I tangled my fingers in my hair. "I've never been so happy in my life, and all you want, all anybody except dad and grandma ever wants is to put my happiness down! Why do you think we didn't invite you to Busch Gardens yesterday? I heard you yelling at dad last night! Your a bitch to everyone! Including the people your supposed to love!" Tears were streaming down my face at this point. Andy's hand traveled to rest on my shoulder, a gesture to let me know he supported this. "I love him." I shook my head.

"I know you do." My mother said astonished.

"Then why? Why would you try to take that love away? Why would you try to steal my happiness?" I said breathlessly.

"I want what's best for my daughter." She stood up from her place on the couch.

"You don't know what's best for me. I do. And his name is Andrew Dennis Biersack." I shook my head, grabbed Andy's hand, and pulled him out of the room.

Notes

Woah..that was intense.

I know the feeling. My stories from two years ago on here are just cringe-worthy in my opinion. But I definitely can relate to the your main character already just because of the the dance aspect. Kind of reminds me of my series "The Mortician's Daughter/Lost It All" and "Wretched and Divine/Ohio Is For Lovers" Those two series are dance related which are my favorite types of stories to write
