An Unexpected Love

Ashley’s POV

“Man, that was awesome!” I nodded.

“Hey, Ash!” I turned toward Andy.

“Yeah?”

“The rest of us are going to a bar, you coming this time or are you gunna call Brittany?” I shrugged when my phone went off. A smile came to my face almost instantly when I saw Brittany’s name on the screen.

“Guys, come here and say hi.” I hit ‘Accept’ on the Face time call and saw her face pop into view.

“HI BRITTANY!” I chuckled as she jumped a little at CC suddenly yelling.

“HI CC! AVERY, GET YOUR ASS OVER HERE!”

“What?”

“All the guys are on.”

“Oh. Hi.” A tired looking Avery came onto the screen.

“So what are you guys up to?” I shrugged.

“Heading to a bar most likely.”

“Sounds like fun.”

“It’s gunna be.”Brittany just rolled her eyes a little. I slowed as the rest of the guys went ahead.

“I’m going back to sleep. Have fun Ashley, but not too much fun, you understand?” Even through the phone I could sense her protectiveness of Britt. That and the warning glare she was shooting me. I nodded and gave her a smile, which seemed to throw her out of it for a second before she walked away, muttering something about a ‘man whore.’ Britt laughed a little.

“Way to piss her off.” I shrugged. I seem to be doing that a lot…

“Not purposely. Anyway, how have you been holding up?” She sighed.

“I haven’t cut, if that’s what you’re asking. These Face time, text messages, calls, and Skype’s have been amazing, but I miss you, Ashy.” A light blush came across her face and I wanted so badly just to reach through the phone and take her face into my hands. I sighed.

“I understand completely. You have no idea how badly I want to see you right now, in person I mean.”

“I think I do.”

“ASHLEY! HURRY THE FUCK UP!” I sighed.

“I gotta go. Love you, B.Y.” She giggled.

“Love you too, Ashy.” I smiled and hung up, catching up to the guys and walking into the bar. I sat down at a stool with the rest of the guys on my left and a blonde girl with red in her hair to my left. To say she was trying hard was an understatement. She had a crop top pushing up her breasts, lots of makeup, and shorts that could have passed for a belt. Probably the kind of girl I would go for before I met Brittany. I took the shot Andy handed me and then ordered my own drink. Pretty soon the other guys were drunk and out on the dance floor. I was sitting there just kinda laughing at them, buzzed but not completely drunk.

“Those your friends?” I looked over at the blond chick and nodded.

“Yup. A little embarrassing, actually.” She laughed a little too loud and put a hand on my shoulder, which I shrugged off. She pouted.

“Oh, come on. Loosen up, will ya?”

“I have a girlfriend.”

“I know.” I froze. How did she know? She chuckled darkly and moved so she was sitting in my lap. I pushed her back on her stool, but she just kept moving back. “I know a lot about you, Ashley Purdy.” I relaxed a little, but continued to move her off my lap. She’s a fan, that’s how she knows about Brittany.

“Ok, well since you know, mind getting off my lap?” She laughed then suddenly kissed me. I shoved her away. “What the hell?! Can’t you take a message?!” Suddenly, the guys were all around me. She smirked.

“Yay! I can tell all of you at once now!” I looked at the guys, and I saw the confused looks on their faces that were probably in mine. “I’m Julia.” I felt my eyes widen. Julia.

The girl out to destroy Brittany.

“Ashley, I’m giving you one last chance. Actually, all of you get one last chance: leave her or else.”

“Hell no!” I screamed, and the others said something along the same line. Her eyes narrowed.

“Fine. CC, you’re first.” She walked away with the swing of her hips, and I saw the worried look on everyone’s faces.

What have we gotten ourselves into?
