An Unexpected Love

Brittany’s POV

I quickly pulled away from Ashley feeling a blush go up my face. I looked at Ashley and he was just sitting there, smirking. I just looked away and tried to think of something to say. We most defiantly needed to come up with some sort if system so these things don’t ever happen again. Like in college we would put a stack of books outside the door. OK…things are getting a little more awkward by the minute, and the guys aren’t really helping matters here.

“So..uh…Avery. How did the interviews go?” I tried discreetly to fix my hair.

“Not so great. Still not enough experience.”

“How are you going to have any if they don’t give you a chance?”

“I know, right? That’s exactly what I was thinking.” She sighed. “I’m going to go get changed.” She left the room, taking off her heels as she did.

“So did you tell Avery about us doubling to Andy’s Halloween party?” I nodded.

“Yeah. I left her a message, I’m pretty sure she got it. I’m thinking if she did she’s not to thrilled, you being a band guy and all. If she gets past that, I’m pretty sure things between you two would work out. What are you going as?”

“I really don’t know yet. What about you guys?” I smirked.

“I’m going to be a slutty maid and Ashley is going to be a butler.” CC raised an eye brow.

“A slutty maid and a butler?” Ashley nodded.

“Yeah. But I’m wearing skinny jeans, my bandannas and chains, and we are taking the sleeves off my tux.” Suddenly, Ashley’s phone went off. He looked at it, confused, then shrugged and put it in his pocket again. He scooted closer and threw his arm around me.

“Who was it?” I snuggled closer to him, and CC sat down next to Ashley.

“I don’t know. Most likely some pranker.” I stiffened up. Last time I heard those words… noticing the change Ashley rubbed my arm. “What’s wrong?”

“Can I…can I see the message?” He nodded and moved to grab his phone when CC’s went off. Please God no don’t do this to me again.

“Huh. I must have a pranker, too. This one knows Avery’s name, though.” I started to feel faint, and I could feel my breathing get shallower.

“Brittany? Brittany, baby, what’s wrong?”

“What’s going on in here?”

“A…Avery.” She came into my line of sight.

“Breath. Just breath. What’s wrong?”

“It…its happening again.”

“What is?” I felt my body get heavy. “Brittany don’t pass out now! What’s going on?!”

“She’s back,” I whispered, and I saw the shock and fear on Avery’s face before I passed out.
