An Unexpected Love

Brittany’s POV

I tried to pay attention to all the twists and turns we made, but I soon lost count. I sighed and sat back in my seat.

“What’s wrong?” The sound of Ashley’s voice made me jump.

“Nothing. Just never really like surprises. Or blindfolds.”

“Well…I guess you don’t need it right now…” The car had come to a stop a couple seconds ago, and I felt him reach over and untie it. When it fell off, I blinked. We were stopped at a red light, but I couldn’t recognize where.

“Thank you.”

“You are going to have it back on later, I hope you know that.” He smirked and then started driving again.

“Where are we going?”

“We’re almost there, have patience my dear.” I sat back in my seat and waited. Soon, we pulled into the parking lot of a fancy restaurant.

“No way!” My mouth dropped open. Ashley just smirked and kind of chuckled.“This is way too expensive, Ashley.”

“No its not. Come on. We are supposed to in there…” he checked his watch, “now.”

“Hold on.” He shrugged and got out of the car. I reached into my purse and grabbed my necklace, which I wasn’t sure if I should wear of not, but I figured now, why not?

It was a bronzeish gold color, with a heart on the front and a complicated flower pattern on the back. You know those watches where you push a button on the top and they swing open? Well, this was like a mini version of one of those on a long chain around my neck. Suddenly, my door opened and I looked at Ashley. He swept his arm out and stood off to the side. I giggled and stepped out of the car. Ashley reached over and held the necklace in his hand.

“This is beautiful. Like you.” I blushed.

“Sweet talker. Watch this.” I pushed the button and opened the watch part. “So I know when to escape.” He chuckled and closed the watch, letting it slip through his fingers.

“Come on. I don’t want them to give our table away.” He held out his hand and I took it, walking in.

-Time Skip to main course-

“Ok. You asked all the questions last time, now, it’s my turn.” I squirmed in my seat a little.

“Fine. But nothing over the top!”

“That’s what she said.” I groaned, and he just smirked. “OK, ok. Back to the point.” He leaned forward. “I really don’t think you are going to find all these questions serious, but I really want to know. First, what’s you favorite color?” I laughed.

“Do you really have to ask?” I swept my hand over my bites and my clothes.

“Ok…so I’m going to guess…pink and purple.” I scrunched up my face.

“Ew. I hate pink.” He chuckled.

“Your face is very pretty like that.” I blushed and looked down.

“Uh…what else?”

“Why do you blush so much?”

“Because.”

“Because why?”

“Not used to being complimented.” The waitress later came over with the check. Ashley didn’t let me look at it, but I knew it was pretty pricy.

“Come on. I got one more place to take you.” We walked out to the car and I groaned when he put the blindfold on. He gave me a quick kiss.

“I’m sorry, but I want it to be a surprise.” I just sighed and sat back in my seat, waiting.

-Time Skip to end of car ride-

“Can I please take it off now? I almost fell like, five times.”

“Almost there.” He quickly kissed my neck softly and I shivered. I felt my knees go weak, and almost fell again. That was also the reason I almost fell the other times…

“Ashy!” I whined.

“Patience, B.Y, patience.” I sighed, but then we suddenly stopped. “We’re here.” He took off the blindfold and I gasped. It was a nice little clearing, and you could see the moon clearly.

“Oh. My. God! This is amazing!” He just smirked and sat down.

“I thought you would like it.” He patted the grass next to him and I sat down next to him. He wrapped his arm around me and I leaned into him, enjoying the moment in itself. After a little while, Ashley spoke up. “You asleep?” I sighed.

“Nope. Just enjoying the moment. The view is amazing”

“It is." He paused. " I want to tell you something.Promise not to freak out?” I sat up and looked at him.

“What?”

“Nope. You gotta promise first.”

“I do promise you. Just tell me.”

“I might be falling for you.” Ok, I will admit, I fangirled a little on the inside. Just a little.

“Ashley. I…” He leaned closer.

“Are you falling for me? Please say yes.” His breath was mixing with mine, and he smelled so good. It was all I could think about.

“Yes. I think I was from the very beginning.” Suddenly his lips were against mine and that’s all I could think about. He bit down on my lip and I allowed entrance to my mouth. His tongue soon beat mine into submission, and I moaned as his hands brought my hips to his. I pulled away, as much as I didn’t want to. “Ashley. We gotta stop.” A worried look came across his face.

“Are…are you still a virgin?”

“What? God, no. No…I just don’t want to take things to fast…you know?” He nodded.

“Thought you would say that. Come on, its late. Don’t need Avery flipping out on me.” I laughed.

“If CC takes my advice, she might be coming home after me.” I stood up. Ashley stood up next to me and started to wrap the blindfold around my eyes. “Do I really need this, Ashy?” He kissed right under my left ear and I shivered.

“I guess not.” He leads me out of the mini forest we had entered and drove me home.

- (Sorry for all the time skips XD) Time Skip to the dropping off at the house-

“I hope you realize I am taking you out again soon.”

“Just call me, you big goof. But not at eleven o’ clock this time, ok?” He just smirked and kissed me. Suddenly, the light came on. I smirked into the kiss and pulled back. “Avery. Night Ashley.” I gave him a quick peck then walked inside. I heard him mumble something, but I couldn’t hear it until after I was inside.
“So. How was it?” I turned to Avery.

“Amazing. What about CC?”

“Great. We kissed.” I grabbed her arm.

“Really?! Are you thinking about giving him a chance?!”

“I don’t know. Maybe. What about you and Ashley? Details.”

“Well…he admitted he might be falling for me, and I told him the same.”

“I think you might have already fallen.”

“I never said that.”

“Come on. Just admit it. We all know.” She poked me teasingly, but I knew I had to say it.

"Yes, ok? I love him. I will never stop loving him. No matter what he says or does." She stared at me, shocked for a moment. “I’m going to go to bed.” I ran up the steps and into the room, closing the door behind me and collapsing in the bed, smiling at the memories of tonight.
