An Unexpected Love

Unknown person’s POV
That little slut. Five guys? Well, let’s see how long they stay with her. I clicked away on my computer. I finally hacked in and found the phone numbers and other information I wanted.

“Look out Brittany. You dumb bitch, you should have left him alone. Now, I will never leave a guy in your life alone. Say goodbye to your newfound friends…and boyfriend.”

Brittany’s POV
I took a deep breath. Ashley had finished cleaning my arm and we were now sitting on his couch.

“I was abused, as you know. It was by a person I thought was my friend, she never really was though, and by my boyfriend. Ex boyfriend, I should say. We were together in high school. All three of us were the outcasts of the school. I felt like I had to be with them so I wasn’t alone. I wouldn’t have stayed if that wasn’t the case. But I was dumb. Avery…she saved me from them. But not before they damaged me. Physically and emotionally.” I took a deep breath again. “That…that’s why I’m going to move in with Avery. I think it would be better, because at the rate we are going, I feel we are taking it to fast.” He nodded.

“I understand. I think Avery will also feel better with you being with her instead of me. I saw how she was glaring at me.” He started to laugh, and I joined in. It was true. Avery wasn’t really all that comfortable with dating band guys…or me dating band guys, for that matter.

“Guess I better see if she is still here huh?” He nodded.

“Here, I’ll take you to CC’s place and see if she is still there.” I nodded and we grabbed my bags again and went to the door where I had heard the shouting. Ashley knocked, and soon enough CC answered the door.

“He Ash. Hey Brittany. Come on in.” He stood back and let us in. I saw Avery finishing off a beer and standing up.

“I gotta go. I guess I will see you tomorrow, CC.” I put a hand up to stop her. So many questions, like, why exactly would she be seeing CC tomorrow, but they would have to wait.

“I’m coming with you.” I motioned my hand to the bags. She looked at me questionably. “I’ll explain then.” I exchanged a look with Ashley, and she got a look on her face. Ashley and I took my bags, and CC and Avery followed us. We put my bags in the back, and Avery said goodbye to CC and Ashley, getting into her car. I said bye to CC, then turned to Ashley. “You sure you’re ok with this?” He smiled.

“Of course I am.” I smiled back, thankful he was so understanding. I stood up on my toes and kissed him, and he leaned down to return it. Avery honked the horn, and I pulled away, laughing.

“Bye, Ashy.”

“Bye, B.Y.” I rolled my eyes and climbed into Avery’s car.

“So…why the sudden change of mind?” Avery asked as we pulled away from the car she had double parked to. I squirmed in my seat.

“I…I relapsed.” We stopped at a red light and she looked at me, shocked. She then leaned in and hugged me. I hugged her back. I pulled away and pulled my sleeve up so she could see the bandages covering my arm. “Ashley was there, though. He helped me. I…I made the decision because…because of the past memories really. I didn’t want things to go to fast. I’m…still kinda scared to be with any guy.”

“I can’t believe I am going to say this but…you should feel comfortable with Ashley. Don’t be scared of him.” I looked at Avery shocked, and she just kinda smiled and looked back at the road. I looked down at my phone and realized I had a new text from Ashley.

A-Miss u :)

B-U just saw me!!!

A-I know. Anyway u will not believe this…

B-What???

A-CC got Avery to go on a date with him…tomorrow

No fucking way! I looked over at Avery.

“You and CC are going on a date tomorrow?!”

“How did you…Ashley.” I nodded.

“Why didn’t you tell me!?” She shrugged and continued to look at the road.

“It’s not that big of a deal.”

“It is a huge deal. Avery, trust me on this. CC is different. He isn’t like those other band guys. Sure, he can get really hyper…” We both cracked up laughing. When we got to Avery’s place, I unpacked all my clothes and watched T.V while Avery did God knows what…most likely sleeping. I soon fell asleep on the couch myself.
