When Darkness Is All You See..

It's been three days since Juliet locked herself in the bathroom, and I have not seen her since. Andy says that he has been feeding her and that there is nothin to worry about. I believe him.

Today was a pretty slow day, keeping my eye on the clock waiting for my shift to end. "Hey, you can go home early. The curfew around towns changed since the body was found."

Christian says, his long black hair flowing in the wind as he grabs his keys. He's also another co-worker. Great friends with the boss, Mr. Pitts. He is allowed to send people home since technically he is also co-manager. I nod. Christian looked out the window of the coffee shop, and I even notice how dark it had gotten.

"Do you need a ride?" Christian said pointing out the window to a red pick-up. I shake my head no. "My boyfriends coming any second, I'm gonna go grab my things. I will close up." I say turning my head as I whip my wild curls from my only tail off my boulder.

"That's fine, I'm only going to turn on my conditioner on in the car, not leaving yet." He smiles as he opens the door. I nod as I turn back to wash out the remaining of the coffee cups. Wait- what was Christian saying?

Who found a body? Who's body was it? What body was ever missing. *ding* I turn to see the door open and close as Christian comes Val in whistling to something he probably made up. "Hey, Christian?" He stops in his tracks and turns to me. "Yeah?" "You said earlier a body was found. Who? And how did it go missing?" I pretty much dropped out of my mouth. Christian sighed as he fluffed the back of his hair with his stubby block nail polished fingers.

"Well, there was a body found somewhere in the suburbs. The bribes heard lots of screaming an then the place caught fire. All that people said was somebody left the building with the dude inside. The police say a psychopathic murderer is on the loose." Christian says, as a matter of factly. "Damn.." Was all I could say. "That's not even the worst part. The psycho that did this even toor off the guys limbs, and all of his blood was drained." That part made me freeze. Drained blood? Limbs being torn off? Oh god it was either andy, Ashley, or Juliet. Shit, are they fucking crazy?

Did they just kill them to kill them?

"What's the name of the person who was killed?" I asked swallowing the lump in my throat.

"David brown."

My whole body froze. The man that beat me. The man that raped me. The man that hurt me. I couldn't help but cry. I.. I'm free.. For weeks now he has been sending me mail, messages. He wouldn't leave me alone, then I met andy it got worse. But one day, it just.. Stopped. I cried in Christians chest. He seemed more frightened, because en that name come up, there's only one thing I think of. Fear.

"Wh- why are you crying?" He just sort of comforted me, but seemed really awkward. "I'm fine." I wipe up the tears of fear, anger, happiness, and sadness. Yea it sucks that somebody died. But he abused me.

I never thought the day he would die would come. How did andy find out about him? I didn't tell him. Then who did? Then it clicked. Desi. She's the only one who knew about him. I wipe away my smeared makeup away and turned my attention back to me.
"Can you give me a ride? I actually do need one." I smile. I have to get to andy. Even though my shift doesn't end in another half an hour but aw well?

"Yea. Grab your bag." He headed out like nothing happened. I walked over, my job long forgotten. I grabbed my purse and headed outside and stepping into Christians car.

"Directions?" Christian asked. I gave him the way to my apartment. I could not wait for the answers I have been waiting for since I met David. 'Did he beg?'
