Land Of The Lost

Lynnette POV:

I stared at Jinxx in shock, he was wrong. He had to be; there’s no way I was a fallen angel as they were. Yet it made sense that I was. The six of us were extremely similar, and we accepted each other and all of our flaws without too much difficulty. “I’ve never heard of a female fallen angel…”

“Did you even hear anything I just said?” He smirked as he sat on the desk and faced me, “I said that you’re like the five of us, descended from them. We’re not angels that would be extremely counterproductive don’t you think?”

“I guess.” I sighed and looked out the window. “I think…I know why F.E.A.R wants to get as many descendants together. I can’t believe I didn’t put two and two together. If I’m right, he wants to create something that’s as close to a true Fallen as he can get.” I looked up at Jinxx and tried to read him. “I think that’s why he kept me so close to him. He was looking for another descendent to use so he could create an army.”

“Even if you’re right, it’s rare to find someone who is a descendant. There are two others I’ve met, both were killed years ago but they were like us.”

“F.E.A.R will stop at nothing to get his hands on us. We have to prepare for war Jinxx, not just a rescue mission…”

“I know Kitten, we’ll destroy everything that he holds dear to him. Then, the six of us will return here, and be perfectly content.”

“Seven…Kotta will help us, she was the one who initially planted the seed of doubt in me.”

“She’s a true friend. She’s doing well, her injuries are just about healed.”

“Has she woken up yet?” I knew that she wouldn’t be up and moving anytime soon, but I was hoping that she’d at least be awake.

“Not yet, but I’m sure she will soon. You should rest more, if I catch you out of bed I’ll tie you to it.”

“You’re mean you know that?” We broke out laughing at the same time, however my laughter turned to whimpers of pain due to my injuries. “First CC now you’re torturing me. You guys are cruel bastards.”

“Yeah, but you love us.” Jinxx froze as soon as he spoke. I gave him a questioning look and shook my head.

“I don’t have a choice do I? If I didn’t you guys would stop feeding me.” My comment seemed to make him relax again, which was a plus because I hated seeing someone tense around me.

“You are our stray aren’t you? Get some rest, I’ll be back in later to check on you.” With that Jinxx left the room, leaving me completely alone once again. I sighed and looked at the ceiling; I had to sort out what I felt for them. I was obviously attracted to Jinxx, but maybe that was because I’ve known him the longest. Then there was CC, who I could easily talk to about anything. He made me feel comfortable with everything, which was weird since the first time we met we tried to kill each other. And there was Ash, he was just hot. I think more than anything, I was attracted to Ash solely because of his looks while I had true feelings for CC and Jinxx.

I sighed and got up from the bed to walk around the room. I was sick of staying in one position, and the pain from walking would distract me…hopefully. I walked from one wall to the one directly across from it, limping every time I took a step. The pain did distract me for a little while, but I knew it would only be a matter of time before I’d have to face my reality and make a final decision.
