Days Are Numbered

Leia was relieved to find she was by a window with an empty seat beside her. Sprawling herself and the contents of her bag across the seats, she got comfortable and prepared for the tiresome flight. The seats in front of her were occupied by two teenage girls who were clad in band merch. They were jumping about their seats and silently squealing to each other. Out of curiosity she began to listen in to their conversation.

''Omg omg omg, I can't believe we're on the the same flight as black veil brides!'' The turquoise haired girl exclaimed to her friend.

''Ashley Purdy is on this flight... we're breathing the same air! Where are they!? Do you think if we got up and went to the toilet we might see them? I'm sure I could get Ashley's number, i'm just his type! Do you think I could? '' The second girl was giddy with excitement as she rattled off questions, her blonde hair flowing across her face as she frantically looked around hoping to catch a view of her favourite band. She couldn't be more than 15, yet she was under the impression that a band member who could be twice her age, would fall madly in love with her. Leia scoffed under her breath and sniggered at the girls deluded dream.

Black Veil Brides... That was the name of her step-brothers favourite band, she knew the name sounded familiar. She herself had never took any interest in them - Leia preferred bands like Asking Alexandria and Bullet For My Valentine - much too the dismay of her brother who had tried endlessly to persuade Leia of their talent.

Growing bored of their frantic fangirling and losing interest in the topic of Black Veil Brides, Leia placed her earphones securely in her ears and opened her favourite sketchbook. After an hour of sketching the father and daughter in the seat across the isle from her, tiredness sunk in and her eyes slowly began to close, as Green Day sang her into a dream consumed by a pair of icy blue eyes.
