Days Are Numbered

3.

Not The American Average blasted through the buds and viciously woke Leia, she abruptly sat up panting in shock. Tugging the earphones out and carefully wrapping them around her ipod, she began to steady herself and tried to slow her heart. Running her crimson nail varnished fingers through her short black hair she sighed, she hadn't slept in days and was hoping to catch up a bit on the flight but her rude awakening ruined all hopes of that.

Her Miley Cyrus styled hair was standing on end as if she had been electrocuted, she scolded herself for not bringing a hat. She tried to pat it down while checking her makeup in her compact mirror. Her large dark burnt orange eyes were framed with a thick layer of eye liner, her pale skin contrasted against her black hair, snow white could pass as her twin. No matter how many compliments she got, she could never fully accept them. There was nothing on her body that she was fully satisfied with. Her lack of curves and above average height for a girl resulted in her often being mistaken for a boy. The short hair definitely didn't help with that.

The rest of the flight went by quickly, she distracted herself with her favourite book: The Catcher In The Rye. By the time the announcement that they were in L.A was called, she was half way through her book.

Her eyes scanned the crowded terminal watching the rest of the passengers were swarming to meet their relatives. Leia spotted the two girls from the plane, running around like headless chickens hunting their dream men. They sped off after a group of black haired, leather clad men and Leia swore she saw a flash of icy blue through the crowd. Shaking it off, she began making her way through the throngs of bodies, searching for the familiar face of her father.

''Leia.. Princess Leia, over here!'' The husky call brought her out of her strict focus. A small smile spread across her face as the nickname she had been given when she was a child, rang through her ears. Her father was a massive Star Wars fan and it had rubbed off on Leia.

''Dad! It's so good to see you. Hey Ben!'' She jumped into her fathers arms and smiled warmly towards her brother.

After a quick catch up and the purchase of a pack of cigarettes, the small family headed towards their car. Soaking in the L.A heat while a dark haired figure stood with his friends, watching the girl of his dreams head off into the sunset, a lit cigarette hanging from her pink lips.

''Andy come on, we gotta go''
