Days Are Numbered

The sun was shining, the city's population was at the beach or catching breakfast, the whole of L.A seemed in good spirit. It was as if they all knew today was going to be a wonderful day for Andy and Leia.

Rebel Yell by Billy Idol began to blare through Leia's phone, causing her to jolt awake. She had set an alarm so she had plenty of time to get ready. She wanted to look her best. Just to make sure there would be enough time for her to do that, Leia had set out her outfit the night before. A black tight cami dress that stopped mid thigh hung up on the wardrobe covered by a black leather jacket, scuffed black converse and an array of necklaces, bracelets and rings were spread over the vanity table. Not too dressy, but nothing too shabby. A quick shower to rid herself of last nights makeup was necessary though. Within two hours, she was ready to go.

''Bye dad! Don't wait up!'' Running through the front door while pulling a beanie over her straightened hair, she called back to her dad. By the time the door slammed, a lit cigarette hung from her mouth and her earphones were playing Slipknot. She still had about 40 minutes to kill before she had to be at the dinner, so she slowed her pace and took in her surroundings. Making a mental note to bring her camera next time she made this journey.

After 30 minutes the diner came into sight. It was only 1:50pm and she was still early but 10 minutes wasn't too long to wait. Quickly checking her appearance in the large gleaming glass panel, she pushed the heavy door and was greeted by a smiling Mary-Lou. Noticing Leia scanning the room, she gave a soft chuckle.

''Well hey there honey pie, usual? Oh and he's over there, been here for 15 minutes not ordering. Thought you'd have something to do with it'' With a quick wink and a gentle nudge in Andy's direction, Mary-Lou continued serving the other customers.

Leia's eyes eventually landed on the lanky dark figure of her date. Was it a date? The word was never mentioned in conversation yet it seemed like it was a date... She was rooted to the spot, over thinking the whole 'date' thing, resulting in her being too distracted to even notice Andy making his way over to her.

''Leia honey, are you ok?'' His hand grazed her shoulder and she shuddered, his oceanic eyes bore into her own, a look of worry stretched over his features.

''Oh yeah, shit sorry. Got completely lost in thought'' Shrugging off her previous thoughts and followed suit behind Andy as he sat back down. Her mind was reeling, he called her 'honey'. Was he being kind or was he flirting or... She began the usual cycle and cut herself off before she zoned out again. It was then that she noticed they were in the booth. The same booth as last night.

''You look incredibly beautiful today Leia'' Andy stared straight into Leia's eyes, complimenting the complete perfection he saw in front of him. Taking this in, Leia blushed and noticed Andy's outfit: Black Metallica vest top, super tight black shredded skinny jeans, scuffed black ankle boots with a slight heel and of course a black leather jacket. His unruly black hair was like a birds nest on top of his head, a beautiful birds nest though.


''You don't look too bad yourself Biersack'' As the last word left her mouth, two coffees were sat on the table and a smiling Mary-Lou urged the two on by making suggestive eye movements and winking at the two. She was like a mother, who finally meets the person their child likes or is dating. Except far more embarrassing The two had now turned scarlet, silently cursing Mary-Lou for making the situation awkward. As her body retreated shaking uncontrollably with laughter, Andy spoke up.

''Well I have planned a wonderful adventure too enjoy. So If I were you i'd hurry up with that coffee''

''Ooh I like adventures, what are we doing?'' Leia loved adventures and the fact that she would be doing one of her favorite things with Andy, made her burst with joy.

''It's a surprise silly. So if I tell you, I'd have to kill you. Then how would you have any fun that way!?'' Taking a long sip of his coffee, Andy raised one eyebrow in humor There was no chance he would ruin this surprise. He'd been planning this since the first moment he lay eyes on this gorgeous woman. He wanted everything to go perfect.

''I don't like surprises though! Please tell me'' Putting on her best pouty face, Leia opened her already large brown eyes at Andy and pouted her full bottom lip. This had never failed her before and there was no chance she'd let it fail now.

''No chance. You have to wait'' Everything inside of Andy was screaming at him to just tell her. Turning down a face that adorable must surely be against the law.

The next hour was spent with the two getting to know each other more. Andy learned that Leia was scared of dogs, her favorite color was black, lucky number was 2, she only had one sibling and he was her step-brother, she loved rings... He eventually knew all the random little facts he could get from her.

Eventually the two excited the diner and somewhere along the way their hands had connected and staying in a comfortable embrace. Andy led the way, opening the door too his black Cadillac Eldorado.

''Holy shit, this is your car!?'' A nod from Andy was received ''Holy fucking shit this is incredible... what the fuck man. I am in love with your car!'' As Leia flapped about completely entranced by the car, Andy could do nothing but laugh.

''The car is prettier inside, so get in'' He opened the passenger side door for Leia, as she ducked by him. Still going insane over the car.

''This is so fucking cool omg. Black leather seats!? How can you afford this shit man?'' Leia shot Andy a look of pure shock and disbelief as she gleefully slid around her seat taking in the beautiful interior.

''I told you, i'm in a band, i saved up and spent my money on this'' his replied was accompanied with a shrug as he turned the key and the car revved into life.

''I know you're in a band but surely it must be pretty successful if you make this much, I thought it was just a little local band'' The realization that Leia hadn't even asked the name of his band hit her and she was suddenly attacked with a sea of guilt. ''I didn't even ask the name of your band, i'm so sorry!''

''Don't worry about it, I was quite glad you hadn't, but my band is called Black Veil Brides'' With that he turned the CD player on and D.R.U.G.S self titled album softly began to leak through the speakers.

''Wait... I know that name. My brother loves you guys! You're doing not bad for yourself there Biersack'' She was currently sitting in a car with the lead singer of her brothers favorite band. This surely was a dream. He didn't even seen like famous type, he was so nice and down to earth. Her train of thoughts were broken when she realized the music that was filling the car was one of her favorite bands.

''Hey, you have a pretty decent taste in music. I love this album'' She began to sing along as Andy drove through the busy streets of L.A.

As Andy drove down the freeway, he kept stealing glances at Leia. The windows were down, she had her bare legs up on the dashboard and was singing along to the CD playing. Her short hair blowing in the wind. Never had he seen such a beautiful sight. He was used to seeing gorgeous girls, but none were quite on Leia's level. He'd only known her properly for a few days and already she had captured him. In fact, she had captured him the first second she looked in his eyes.

''So Biersack, where are we heading?'' Leia's newly developed nickname caused him to smile.

''Like I said Lee, it's a secret'' She replied with a scowl as he fired her a wink. She hated both the nickname and the fact secrets were involved.

Looking at the signs on the road, Andy noticed that they were only about 10 minutes from their destination. Eyes locked on the road, he reached his arm over to the compartment box, gently brushing Leia's leg in the process - an accident of course - after a few seconds of raiding through the crap he kept in there he finally found what he was searching for.

''Here, put this on'' A soft piece of fabric landed on Leia's lap, it was a bandanna.

''Excuse me? Why?'' The tone of disapproval was made extremely clear by her sudden movements. Her feet crashed down, her body swung to face Andy full on and a scowl was plastered on her face.

''Please. It's so the surprise doesn't get ruined. It'll be worth it, I promise'' Andy stole a glance at her with the attempt to persuade her to reconsider but he got side tracked. Anger made her way hotter...

''I'll put it on, if you focus on the road. Your pervy ways will mean we are going to end up crashing. I am not dieing because of your ass, pretty boy!'' Her eyebrows raised and she shook her head in a knowing look. A soft chuckle escaped her lips as she put the black fabric over her eyes and tied it tight.

''Happy now Andrew?''

''I am very happy Princess'' Both their laughs harmonized as they continued the short drive to Andy's destination.
