They WILL Be Unbroken
Chapter three- new love
-Josh's POV-
After Kai left the room CC and I got talking, music, art nothing real.
"So, Josh, tell me about yourself."
"Nothing really interesting to say." I shrugged off his question. "Mum, Dad, brother, best friend. fairly normal really."
"I don't really believe in the word normal." CC said "Come on, I want to know about you! And I especially want to know why you do this." he murmured grabbing my wrist and pushing back my band bracelets and long-sleeved jacket to reveal some of my scars.
I looked away from CC's face, "Fine. Last year, I had a boyfriend, Dan, he cut but after we got together he always called me if he felt bad. Anyway, two months into our relationship his family moved away. I was really worried, his father was really homophobic. I was right to be worried, because just two weeks after they moved-" I started crying. "Dan was found dead. At first it was classed as suicide, but Dan's finger prints weren't on the handle of the knife. They were his fathers. I just, I couldn't deal. I loved him so much. He was so wonderful. So I started cutting, thinking maybe, if I could feel some of what he felt before he died, I'd feel like I was with him. it didn't work, but i was addicted. I just couldn't stop. Eventually Kai found out and made me stop. She was with me every hour of the day or night. Soon enough I was mostly better, but after you guys broke up. I dunno, I saw Kai spiraling down, and I guess I just couldn't stop myself."
-CC's POV-
When Josh had finished his story, I felt myself tearing up. I gently hugged him and he clung to me like a lifeline, sobbing into my shoulder.
"Please don't Josh, don't hurt yourself anymore." I felt him cry even harder. Cupping his face in my hands, I lifted his face and gazed into his eyes. Leaning forward cautiously I touched our lips together. Josh stiffened at first, but then relaxed into the kiss.
"I love you CC." Josh whispered.
"I love you to Josh." I struggled to muster my courage, to ask what I had wanted to ask since I first saw him. "Josh, Will you- will you be my boyfriend?"
"I would love to CC." Josh whispered back. I kissed him again, more forcefully and confidently this time, and he kissed back passionately I gently took his bottom lip between my teeth and he moaned softly. I begged entrance to his mouth and he allowed me in, introducing our tongues. it was pure heaven. Goddamn I loved this boy.
