“Let her go!” Andy shouted, his voice pinging off of the walls and traveling back towards him as he looked out over the near empty club. He could see that his father had a hold of Lily and her head was hanging down, which made Andy’s heart skip a beat.

“Ah-Andrus my son…come to join me at last?” His father smirked at him, his pointed teeth hanging over his bottom lip and Andy only stood there. His jaw was tight, his fists were clenched and he was thinking very carefully about what needed to happen.

“Yes Father…yes I have come to join you.” Andy said, his smirk devilish and he noticed that Lily had opened her eyes and was now looking right at him. She seemed confused and Andy wished he could give her some kind of sign, but that would be too dangerous.

“I see you’ve reconsidered my offer. Have the humans treated you so poorly that you no longer want to be one of them?” His father asked, Lily still held tightly in his large hands. Andy only nodded as he walked down the steps slowly and made his approach. Lily was holding her head up now and Andy could tell she was in pain by the way her lips were quivering.

“Yes Father. I’ve grown tired of being with them for so long-pathetic ingrates that they are. Besides…I got my taste of this little cloud puff and I think I’ve grown tired of her.” Andy said, his voice cruel and it broke his heart to see the tears begin to fall down Lily’s cheeks softly.

“You and this Angel? Together? I don’t believe it!” His father laughed, the sound cruel and echoing loudly off of the walls. Andy only smirked as he continued his approach and finally he reached his father and Lily. She looked at him, sadness in her eyes and Andy knew he had to keep the act up so he did the one thing he hoped he would never do as a man-he slapped Lily right across her beautiful face.

“Well once a whore always a whore. Obviously I was masked by her beauty when she first came to Hell, but being with her for so long I see what a Wretched and useless person she really is.” Andy said, his blue eyes cruel as they met hers and Lily felt herself die inside. Why was he saying this? He was supposed to love her…he had loved her once.

Lily could feel the energy draining from her with every squeeze pressed against her small body and she knew that she would be no match for two Demons. She looked off to her left and noticed that her sword was still sitting on the floor, gleaming under the soft light that was coming in through a broken window. If only she had enough energy to call for it…if only Andy hadn’t betrayed her at the last minute. At first she thought he had been putting on an act, but as he looked at her and she saw the pure hatred in his eyes…Lily knew. He had loved her once, she had seen that in his eyes as well, but she knew that by pushing him away that Lily was ultimately pushing Andy towards his old life.

He stood there, his tattooed arms crossed over his chest and Lily could barely listen to him as he and his father talked of their plans. Taking over the Human World was first on the list-creating more Hybrids was also an essential piece to the puzzle. Then it was up to Heaven, where Lucifer would take over the throne in Heaven and Andy would be given the one in Hell. Lily felt sick-thinking of Lucifer walking around Heaven, marring the beautiful clouds and atmosphere and now her sickness began to turn in to anger. Lily had given Andy everything-her life, her heart and her soul, but now he was just giving it all back, crumpled and torn up like used tissue paper.

“What’s the matter Angel? Not happy with the plans that my father and I have devised for you and your Angel brethren?” Andy asked as he walked over towards her, reaching out a hand as he gruffly yanked her chin up so that she was looking him in the face.

“Oh, I have plans for you Little Angel…shackles…chains…you’ll be my personal play thing for all eternity.” Andy said, his tone deep and menacing and Lily only stared him down with a defiant look in her lavender eyes.

“Why?” Was all she said and Andy only laughed, throwing his head back as his hair and the feathers that were tied in to his locks fell back to cover his shoulders. His laugh was cruel and Lily felt the rage within her grow.

“Because my Little Angel…you batted me around like a cat toy for too long…kept me waiting when I had needs and now you will fulfill those needs for the rest of your eternal life.” Andy said gruffly, his blues on her again and Lily saw no remorse in those blue orbs.

“And if I refuse?” She asked and she cried out as Satan squeezed her tightly, the air leaving her lungs as her ribs began to puncture the delicate organs. He was enjoying this-hearing his son rip an Angel apart emotionally.

“Refuse all you would like…that only makes it more enjoyable for me…” Andy said as he let go of her chin and then smashed his lips down on hers. Lily cried out and then clamped her teeth down on his bottom lip. Andy hissed as he pulled away and then the back of his hand was connecting with her right cheek and Lily felt her head snap back at the force.

“I should have known…once a Demon always a Demon…” Lily spat, the blood dripping from her lips as she looked at him with as much hatred and anger as she could muster. Where had her Andy gone? Where had his love for her disappeared to?

Andy looked at Lily then, his heart breaking at the hatred in her eyes as she stared him down. He didn’t mean any of this and it made him sick to think that she was obviously believing him-that she would think that he was actually going to do these terrible things to her. Andy could never hurt Lily-he loved her with everything he had and he always would. But this was essential to getting his Father to let his guard down. Andy could tell that it was working, his father was slowly loosening his grip on the Angel in his distraction and Andy was only hoping that Lily could garner enough energy to break free.

If only he could send her some kind of sign-a signal that this was all in a plan he had devised with Michael the night before. Lily had been out gathering as much information as possible and Andy had stayed back at the apartment to try and rally the troops further. He had been feeling low-their chances at winning this War were slim to none and he knew it.

That was when Michael had approached him with an idea. Satan could shape shift and Michael was almost positive that Lily was going to seek out the Demon herself-so they needed her to do just that. Andy listened as Michael explained the plan-let Lily wander off, give her some time with Satan alone and then Andy would come in…but not as the hero.

Lily had to believe that Andy had betrayed them…it would make her angry enough to get the Divine Power to finally end Satan once and for all.

“Yes and once a pathetic, sniveling human…doesn’t matter if you have wings or a sword Lily…you will always be nothing.” Andy looked her in the eyes and his heart broke in to a million pieces as the fire left those beautiful lavender eyes for a moment. He had thrown her a very low blow and Andy only hoped that it would play off to his advantage.

“Now now children. Play nice or else I’m going to have to throw this one back…” Satan smirked down at him and Andy only returned the devious look. It was making him ill to be this close to his father, but Andy knew that Lily was almost there.

“Throw her back-doesn’t matter. There’s another rather shall we say-beautiful girl waiting for me down in Hell. Of course CC would never forgive me for going for his little sister…but he can be dealt with.” Andy smirked and Lily’s eyes grew wide. She began to struggle against the hands holding her and she could feel that Satan’s grip was weakening.

“Don’t you dare talk about her! Don’t you touch her Andy or I swear…” Lily said her tone angry and filled with nothing but pure hatred. Her eyes, those lavender eyes he loved so much, were finally filled with so much hate that he could feel it radiating towards him like a flame.

“Oh I will touch her Lily…over...and over…and over again. I think I’ll even make you watch…” Everything seemed to explode in that moment. Lily had broken free, her wings flapping in the air and making the dust and debris fly up and swirl around them. Andy moved away slightly, but he couldn’t take his eyes off of her.

“You will never touch her or me again Andrus…ever!” Lily called down to him and Andy felt his heart stop. She had used his Demon name and he knew it was because she only saw him as a Demon now…Andy the human was gone to Lily.

“Oh Angel…come back down here before you get yourself hurt…” Satan smirked as he reached out and swatted at Lily like she was nothing more than a butterfly. Andy cringed as one of the huge red hands caught Lily’s left wing and she lost her balance slightly.

Lily had tried to move out of the way, but the hand coming towards her was big and quick. It hit her on the left side and she felt the force knock her back slightly. Satan went in for another strike and this time she had been able to dodge it. Andy was just standing by, a sad look on his face as he watched his father come after her. The traitorous scum deserved to be sent back to Hell and after Lily was finished with his father that is exactly what was going to happen to Andrus.

In all of her rage induced planning, Lily had completely missed the hand coming her way until finally it made contact and she went flying. She felt the wall behind her, felt her head snap back and hit against the hard stone, but that was all Lily could really focus on. Satan was coming towards her now, she was on the ground and dizzy…her sword only mere feet away but she couldn’t reach it.

“Say goodnight Angel…say goodbye.” Satan was at her feet and Lily said nothing as she just closed her eyes. Her breathing slowed, everything seemed to slow down and as she waited for the blow to come…the blow that would probably end her and send her home…Lily found that it never came. Instead she just heard the worst sound in the world-someone’s protest and then a sickening ripping noise.

“Nooo!” Andy shouted as he jumped in front of his father’s hand, the black gleaming sword appearing in those clawed fingers. As he moved in front of it, Andy closed his eyes and let the steel fall against his body. As it hit him and he felt himself being practically cut in to two, Andy opened his eyes and noticed that Lily was safe…she was sitting there staring up at him with shock and bewildered eyes.

It all moved so fast-seeing that Andy had taken the blow for her and his father screaming out in anger, Lily was able to gather enough strength to reach for her sword and point it up. Satan’s scream only grew louder as the sword sliced through his heart and a great lightning storm formed above their heads. Lily dropped her sword, the metal clanging against the stone floor as her lavender eyes watched with pride as Satan began to sink back down to Hell. He screamed, his great red face angry and filled with rage, but Lily didn’t care…they had done it. They had won and Andy’s sacrifice had shown her what she should have known all along…he had always loved her and nothing would change that.

As the storm cleared and Lily looked around, she noticed that Andy was laying on the floor only a few feet away from her. His breathing was raged and Lily could see that there was only a slight flap of skin holding him together-he had been slashed across his ribs by a sword that would actually cause him real damage. Lily cried out, her hands covering her face as she scrambled over towards the Demon and found that he was losing his battle. Blood was bubbling out of the corners of his perfect mouth and his blue eyes were losing their playful shine that they always had. Lily quickly took him in to her arms gently and held Andy as he reached out a hand and placed it against her cheek.

“I-I never meant any of it Lily…none of it. I love you…I will always love you.” Andy said, coughing and Lily cringed as blood dribbled down his chin. She grasped his hand and as she looked down in to those eyes, Lily knew there were only two things for her to do in this situation.

“Hey...Andy look at me. It’s okay…I forgive you. I see now what you were doing and it’s okay…” Lily said and as Andy smiled up at her, she could tell they were running out of time. Suddenly the door burst open and people began to flood around them. Michael-battle worn and tired looking-came to her side and Lily cried out as he put a strong arm around her shoulders.

She knew what she had to do…

“Andy, Andy listen to me. I can help you-I can heal you and make you whole again, but there’s a catch.” Lily said and Andy’s eyes grew wide as he looked up at her. Lily sighed, her tears falling down her cheeks as she locked eyes with him.

“If I heal you…you will become human. That means you would lose all of your memories of me and this war. You’ll just be Andy Biersack of Black Veil Brides…no longer a Demon fighting his way through life.” Lily said and Andy grumbled, clearing his throat so that he could speak.

“No-take me to Heaven…I want to be with you…I have to be.” He spoke and his voice was so low and muddled that only Lily could hear him. She cried then-this was so hard. Selfishness wanted to win out and the thought of eternity with Andy made her heart grow light.

She knew now what she had to do.

“I-I can’t do that Andy…you have so much left in you. You have an Army that needs you…friends that need you…you aren’t done setting the world on fire Andy. You have to stay here.” Lily said sadly and she felt her tears falling down her cheeks and could see that they were landing on Andy’s face and neck. He only smiled at her, pressing a hand to her cheek and he felt ice cold.

“I love you Lily…” He said softly, his eyes closing and Lily knew it was now or never.

“I love you too Andy…always.”

She pressed her lips to his and a blinding light filled the room. As Lily brought her face up and looked towards the ceiling she knew…this had been the right choice and it couldn’t be any other way.

They had been meant for one another, but Andy had been meant for so much more…he had set the world on fire and now he had to live to see it burn…

...*cries*

Stay tuned-later today I will be posting up the Epilogue and you will all find out exactly what has happened to Andy.

I want to thank everyone who has subscribed, commented, voted and loved this story as much as I have. It was just a small side project that I had for myself and I never expected it would become my most popular story. That, in a big way, is because of a lot of you who have been nice enough to review and rate this fanfiction. Sadly this story is over(Epilogue still to come so watch for it) but their story lives on...their love lives on.

Thank you<3

@FallenAngel26

Aww I'm so glad you liked it! This series was really fun for me to write because I was able to put so much imagery in to it.

Just finished this series and oh my gosh! I can honestly say that a fan fiction had not made me cry until now. This story hit me right in the feels, expecially the 'just tonight' chapter. It just makes me so sad that they love each other so much but they can't be together. Anyways I love your stories, they are some of my favorites on this site :).

I just have to say that after reading this I now look at God Bless You as a way of telling Satan off

@Truly A Teenage Runaway

Aww well thanks! Start with A Love By Mistake as that is actually where this story is supposed to go. I warn you-I have A LOT of work haha so it may take some time.
