We're Setting Worlds On Fire

Devil In Disguise

Lily rolled her eyes so hard that she was sure even Michael could sense her aggravation and he was all the way up in Heaven. She watched, cringed and winced as Andy and Angel reunited right before them all. The band was still on tour, in Ohio, and Andy had gleefully told them that Angel was on her way. Lily found it odd that the girl was visiting them out of the blue, but she was just going to keep her mouth shut.

Now the couple were kissing fiercely and Lily had to advert her eyes. They were all standing outside of the bus, having gotten to the venue and needing some air they all got out. Lily looked to her left and noticed that Ashley was also watching Andy and Angel with a look of disgust on his face.

The Demon had never liked the thought of love, but he had realized towards the end of her life that Lily really was good for Andy. He didn’t mind seeing the two of them together and even sometimes he thought about what it would be like to have someone like Lily in his life. Then she had died and suddenly Ashley remembered why he never wanted to love-it hurt too much when you lost that love.

He watched Andy mourn and mope, soon giving the kid an out in the form of booze and girls. When Lily had come back, Ashley had been shocked and wasn’t sure what was going to happen. He had never expected that she and Andy would stay apart and that his best friend would find this skank to drown his sorrows in.

As he stood there and watched the couple makeout-Andy was pushing Angel up against the side of their bus, his teeth nipping and teasing her neck while she giggled-Ash couldn’t help but be reminded of someone. The girl had the same smile as his sister-wicked and filled with secrets. Ash missed Lattie-sometimes-but really he was happy she was gone.

She had been nothing but trouble since the day they had been born. She always wanted to be around him and when he and Andy had bonded in school, well that was that-Lattie became part of the package. Then she had gotten pretty obsessive about Andy and almost cost him everything and that was when Ashley finally saw his twin sister for who she really was…

A Demon.

“Could they be any more disgusting?” Someone asked in his ear and as Ashley turned and noticed Lily standing there, he couldn’t help but smirk. The two of them had bonded over the past few days-anyone would bond over having to hear Andy talk about nothing other than his Angel.

“Probably. Jealous?” He was teasing her and Lily said nothing as she shoved his shoulder playfully before crossing her arms over her chest. Jealous-her? Not a chance, this was just a waste of time and Lily was becoming annoyed.

“Of her? Pfft, I should thank her for taking him off my hands.” Lily laughed then, her head coming to rest against Ashley’s shoulder and then it got awkward. The two of them split apart slowly, avoiding eye contact as they looked towards the slobbering couple.

God it was so weird seeing Andy with someone else. Weird, but oddly pleasing because Lily knew that he had since stopped pestering her about the two of them getting back together. As they all stood there, chatting and waiting for the venue to open up so they could do soundcheck, Lily felt something land in her stomach. Fear? Regret? Sadness? She couldn’t tell-it had been so long since she had felt anything that Lily really wasn’t sure how she was supposed to feel. She watched, through her long bangs, as Andy gripped Angel by her hips, bringing her closer to him and suddenly Lily’s cheeks flamed and she had to look away.

Biting down on her lip, Lily turned away, her arms still crossed over her chest but it felt like she could barely breathe. Why was this happening to her? Why was she all of a sudden feeling like her entire world was collapsing around her? Lily had spent years getting rid of her thoughts of Andy and everything they could have been-so why was it all coming back to her now?

Lily stood there, listening to Andy and Angel giggle together and all she wanted to do was turn around and get rid of the little harlot. She was nothing but a distraction for them all. Yes, that’s what she was feeling-irritation towards Angel for being a distraction. It wasn’t sadness or jealousy…it was irritation.

“Are the two of you finished yet?” Lily asked, whipping back around and Andy brought his face up just in time to see her face him. She looked sad, her white blonde hair falling around her shoulders and covering half of her face and Andy felt his own sadness well with in him.

Angel was pulling his face down towards hers again, but all he wanted to do was walk over towards Lily and give her a hug. He couldn’t do that though-she wouldn’t let him. His lips were on Angel’s once again, their lip rings fighting for space and he smirked as her tiny hands ran up and down his body. This girl drove him nuts-she was such a tease, but she was new and exciting. New and yet there was something so familiar about her-the way she moved and the way she giggled. It was almost as if they knew one another before, but Andy couldn’t think from where.

Holding her in his arms was nice, but there was still an emptiness inside of him. They talked constantly-Angel wouldn’t have it any other way, but it just wasn’t the same. All the girl wanted to talk about was the band-she questioned him on everything. How well known were they getting? How many Army members were they at now? Were the guys planning another record? How much money was Andy making in all of this? All Angel seemed to care about was his fame and his money, which bothered Andy, but he was lonely and needed some distraction. As he looked up from Angel’s adorable face, Andy noticed that Lily was gone and Ash with her.

The two of them had grown really close over the past few days-something that was making Andy more and more uncomfortable. Ashley hated Lily-more so than anyone else and all of a sudden his Demon best friend was running after her like a lost puppy. Lily said she couldn’t control the minds of Demons, but maybe she was lying…Andy bit down on his lip and he smiled as thought about Lily again.

The way her hair flowed around-the way it blew around her face in an invisible wind when she was angry. Her lavender eyes and how soft they could be-until she was pissed off and in full on Angel mode. He still loved her-nothing would change that and Andy only hoped that one day Lily would embrace his love and remember her own.

“What’s wrong Andy baby?” A soft voice spoke out to him and Andy only shook his head, his long straight hair falling into his eyes as he looked down. Angel was staring up at him, her blue eyes wide and innocent looking. She was like a doll, except with Technicolor hair and piercings, but she was so childlike it was almost creepy.

“N-nothing. Come on…lets head in.” He smiled down at her, but Andy got the shivers as Angel returned his smile with one of her own. Something flashed in her eyes-anger? What did she have to be angry about?

“Okay, but I don’t have to stand with her on the side of the stage do I?” The girl asked as Andy moved to hold the door open for her and he felt a little taken aback. Why did Angel and Lily not like one another? They had only spoken once or twice and yeah, Lily hadn’t been the nicest person, but why so much hate?

“I-um-no? I mean where else were you going to stand?” He asked and Angel was suddenly laughing as she turned around and faced him. Her blue eyes were determined and she seemed to have planned all of this out in advance.

“Well next to you silly! Where else would I be when my love is up onstage performing?” She giggled then, covering her mouth with the palm of her hand as she squeezed one of his cheeks and turned to head into the guys dressing room.

Andy followed behind the girl, taking in her clothes and the way she held herself. She was a stripper-Andy had seen her strip and she was really good at her job, but she dressed like a stripper and that was kind of a turn off. Now she was wearing a short, tight, black skirt with ripped and shredded fishnets and her cleavage was spilling out of the even tighter purple corset top that was pushing everything up. Her purple and green hair was pin straight and her makeup was heavy. Andy could appreciate a girl wanting to be sexy, but not this sexy.

Lily had always been able to be sexy just being herself. She looked sexy when she first got up in the morning-her hair sticking up at odd angles and her makeup was usually half way down her face. She was sexy when she was dressed normally in a pair of ripped jeans and a t-shirt-she never had to try as hard as Angel did.

Andy could appreciate a girl wanting to look hot, but he didn’t want other guys to enjoy her looks the same way he was. As the couple entered the dressing room, they were met with a hushed silence and all eyes were on them. Angel just kept walking until she was over by the small table and then jumped up, her boobs almost hitting her in the face as she smiled over at him seductively.

“What’s going on guys?” Andy laughed as he walked into the room fully and noticed that Ashley and Lily were standing beside one another. Both of them weren’t looking at Andy, but at Angel, who was currently sitting on a small table and staring at herself in a nearby mirror.

“Nothing, we were just talking about the set list.” Jake said, sitting his guitar down against one side of the couch he was sharing with Jinxx and CC. Andy smirked-he loved talking about the set list and trying to figure out what they were going to play. Usually they played the same songs, but since they were writing new material, he figured they could just add some things in there.

“Awesome-what were you guys thinking?” Andy asked as he moved over to stand near Angel, who was still checking herself in the mirror. Lily rolled her eyes so hard that if she could feel she would have just given herself a migraine.

“The usual-Knives, Weapon, Hate, Fallen Angels and Love.” Jake said and Lily smirked at all of their shortened names for their songs. Andy was a lot of things and being long winded with his song titles was one of them. Suddenly Andy was smiling at her softly and he cleared his throat as he looked over at Jinxx and Jake.

“Why don’t we end with Mortician’s Daughter-we haven’t played that one live in a while and I kind of miss singing it.” He was smiling at her, but Lily was too busy looking at Angel.

The girl had completely stopped checking herself out in the mirror and all of the color had left her already pale face. Lily could sense that the girl was not pleased and she felt bad that she was getting so much pleasure out of Angel’s discomfort. Lily watched as Angel gripped Andy’s arm, her pouty lips held in a tight line and she knew that the girl was holding back from saying something.

Andy was still going on, oblivious to the girl next to him or what she was going through and Lily found it all very amusing. Suddenly there was a low growling noise and Lily whipped her head back and forth to try and figure out where the noise was coming from. None of the guys in the room seemed to hear it and finally Lily figured out where it was coming from.

Angel was looking at her with bared teeth and her eyes held a look of murder in them.

“Andy...” Angel was tugging at the sleeve of his jacket and Lily watched as Andy huffed loudly and turned to look down at his little muffin or whatever. He was tired of her already, which made Lily laugh because she knew this was going to happen.

“Yeah babe…” Andy said softly as he turned to face the girl beside him and gave her a tight smile. This girl was becoming way too annoying and he didn’t know if he was going to last the two days of her being here before he went off. Lily was never like this-she knew when to hover and when to give him space.

“I would rather you not play that last-um-song.” She was struggling to get her words out because her teeth were clenched so tightly and Lily could tell that Angel was very upset. Was it really that big a deal? Mortician’s Daughter was just a song…it meant nothing.

“Oh-um…well we’ll see. Come on guys…” Andy had had enough and now he was walking towards the door, leaving Angel behind and Lily watched as the girl got red in the face and sucked in a breath. All of the guys were walking towards the door, Ashley placing a reassuring hand on her arm before following behind CC.

“Andrus-EW! Andrew come back here!” Angel yelled after him and Andy stopped, shaking his head at a name that he never went by. Of course Angel would think that his proper name was Andrew-Andy was a nickname for it, but only Ashley, Lily and the guys knew his full Demonic name.

As the guys left with Angel trailing behind them like a lost puppy, Lily couldn’t help but hang back and lean up against the wall. Her heart was pounding a mile a minute as she looked around the room and tried to figure out what to do. None of the others noticed it-they were all too distracted by the upcoming show, but Lily had finally figured it out.

Angel had seemed so familiar-the way she walked and talked and even the way she held herself. She walked around like she was better than everyone and only one person in the entire realm of Earth acted that way and knew Andy’s true Demonic name.

Lattie.

Just finished this series and oh my gosh! I can honestly say that a fan fiction had not made me cry until now. This story hit me right in the feels, expecially the 'just tonight' chapter. It just makes me so sad that they love each other so much but they can't be together. Anyways I love your stories, they are some of my favorites on this site :).

I just have to say that after reading this I now look at God Bless You as a way of telling Satan off

@Truly A Teenage Runaway

Aww well thanks! Start with A Love By Mistake as that is actually where this story is supposed to go. I warn you-I have A LOT of work haha so it may take some time.
